As a Nashville based traveler, Southwest has become my go-to airline and at least once or twice a year they carry me to and from ECP in Panama City. Never any issues beyond your standard delays usually experienced at smaller airports with limited flight schedules. This latest trip was just that, a delay that was announced to be 2 hours, but only turned into about 20 - 25 minutes. The gate agents are always top notch for SW at ECP. Very helpful, calm, efficient and friendly. In addition, the cabin crew and pilots are always great as well. Overall, big Southwest fan and honestly not interested in flying anyone other than SW on my trips in and out of ECP! read more

Getting to Tallahassee from Texas is not an easy feat. With zero direct flights, it is more practical to fly to Panama City and then rent a car. The airport is so cute. Just a few gates. So easy to get through security. Nice to have earlier boarding with ALP. Nice also to be able to reserve an exit row seat. Hopefully, the perks as a loyal Southwest Airlines customer will continue. Being based out of the Phoenix area, I find that Southwest Airlines and American Airlines are the most ideal airlines to fly for me. While I typically fly American Airlines, every now and then, I do find myself on a Southwest Airlines flight. While I know some big changes have just started being made on Southwest Airlines including the cost of luggage being added and assigned seating starting soon, the "no frills" concept of Southwest Airlines for better fares and the "outrageously fun" service culture intrigue me with the airlines as a customer and observer. In fact, I typically have had very positive customer service experiences whether in advance on the phone or in person at the airport. For more first time ever flying into Panama City, I flew in on Southwest Airlines with layovers in Austin. On the other hand, I have flown Southwest Airlines every now and then through other airports like Phoenix, California, Las Vegas, El Paso, or Albuquerque. While I have never tried the A-List program before, I have membership in CLEAR and Global Entry, which help me speed through security to get to the gates. I also find myself enjoying lounges through the American Express Platinum card and/or Priority Pass program. It also provides a travel incidental which I often will use with Southwest Airlines. Traveling has become more of a hobby and habit at the same time, and using Southwest Airlines and American Airlines as two the two airlines that are most convenient for me, I can accumulate points or miles quickly for future benefits. I actually recall learning about Southwest Airlines in my business school classes way back when as it was used as a regular case study, and I loved reading books about Herb Kelleher and the early days of Southwest Airlines and its service focus not only to customers but to employees as well. After all, if your employees aren't happy, your customers certainly won't be. I recall living the Southwest Airlines experience on holidays when everyone was treated to drinks, through fun and entertaining announcements by flight attendants, and when I was younger, even being invited to pass out the peanuts (in the days well before pretzels were instead distributed). As the recent Southwest Airlines changes are so new, the jury is still out on how I feel about them. For now, I can still expect great service, which is really what we're looking for (besides safe and timely flights). I look forward to continuing to check in with Southwest Airlines every now and then. read more

I will start out saying i fly A LOT. If southwest flies there I using Southwest Airlines. Unfortunately lately my destinations have been out of their route range. This particular time I was having problems with another airline getting me home. The Southwest agent worked it out with the other airlines agent and got me on a flight home! No fees, just a standby by situation that worked out. I LUV Southwest no matter where! No other airline employees are 100% always kind, helpful and friendly, but I always have a good experience with southwest! I wish Southwest flew everywhere so I didn't have to use any other airline carrier. Also, southwest always decorates their terminals on holidays :). Fun, friendly and always funny, SW makes the pain of airline traveling enjoyable. read more

Delay delay delay re route re route!!! The ground crew acted rude and angry for the delay. We were not the ones who delayed the aircraft. We just want to know what is going on so we can make arrangements and let our loved ones know so they don't worry.
