I purchased an extended car warranty from Delta Auto on January21, 2018 for my 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 550. I had several phone conversations with the sales rep regarding the situation. I purchased the Dimond premier plan which gives me five years and 70,000 additional miles. I paid a one time payment of $2800 using a credit card. At that time I was told I can bring my vehicle to a dealership or any service center. Once they got approval they would make payment to the dealership. On April 12, 2019 I brought my car to Loeber motors located in Lincolnwood Illinois. My service advisor Homie Lee 847-675-1000 spoke with Delta and they issued him a work order number. After the car was completed the bill came out to $1434.74. Lober motors attempted to contact Delta several times and were not successful. I was informed by lobers warranty manager that I would have to pay for the car for them to release it. She told me that Delta already owed them over $8000 on other claims which they have not been paid for. I finally got a hold of Delta Week of April 15 and they told me that a check was sent out on April 19. As of today May 8, 2019 Loeber motors has not received this check. I have spoken to Aaron who is the manager at Delta several times now and he keeps on telling me they have to look into it. I was told that he would call me on May 7, 2019. If I have not received the check they would pay with a credit card. I have left him several messages and he still has not return my call. At this time I am requesting a full refund of $2800 plus the $1434 I had to pay for the repairs. Based on all the bad Google reviews from on this company it looks like they do not pay claims. Please help me get my money back from this scam company and please shut them down. read more

Why should I give this company a star? This company is a collection of con artists. After signing up anyway, we will not provide services after signing up. The car broke down and left it in the shop. I have sent a quote to this company. But the company refused to file a claim. The reason is that I bought a used car and didn't receive Maintenance regularly. Now, if you buy a used car instead of a new one, do you go to the shop to get Maintenance every time? As you know, Maintenance is not free. And I asked about this part when I signed up, but the company agent signed up for it without any problems when I talked about it. This company is fraudulent because it is a company that allows you to make a contract in sweet words when you make a contract and refuses when you enter the service application. Do not sign up. Delta Auto Protect is a scam company. I purchased a warranty from them and have attempted a claim with them. They approved repair but then never paid the repair shop for the work they approved leaving me to pay the shop myself. Their phone system is ridiculous as they rarely answer. If they do answer you get the runaround or they will flat out lie to you. Often an answering service will take the call but won't be able to answer questions or will transfer you to a voicemail. Service requests are normally handled same day or the next day at the latest based on my prior experience with this warranty company. However, it has now been 3 weeks since I called and 2 weeks since my repair facility called and no one has returned my call or my repair facility calls for service work authorization. Not only have they not returned any calls, but on Wednesday 5-30-18 when I called again and asked to speak to someone in management concerning my service request, the same lady who took a message was rude to me and said someone would call me back and then hung up the phone on me. I paid almost $4,000 for this 5 year warranty in 2015 and now I can't seem to get Delta Auto to fulfill it's service responsibilities on my warranty contract. Based on complaints at this BBB site and other consumer complaint sites online, this seems to be the prevailing experience of others with Delta Auto Protect. These people are crooks. I purchased a warranty from them and when my car needed warranty work the car sat at the dealership for two weeks awaiting approval. Every time the dealership called them they said that approval will be given before the end of the day but nothing ever done. I ended up having to pay for the work out of my own pocket and canceling the warranty. I was supposed to get a refund up to 60 days after cancellation and after the 60 day and no refund they said that something went wrong and that I had to wait another 60 days. Let me tell you about my experience: Dear God... I bought this "Diamond" policy in November of 2018. Last year, we tried to make a claim and we were told that the service was not covered, even though we were told that the coverage was "bumper to bumper". We had friends who had issues with their Explorer so we asked VERY specific questions when buying the policy. They directed me to a list of exclusions I'd never seen before. I told them that list of exclusions was never provided. They said oh yes, it was part of the agreement you signed... I told them, I never signed an agreement. Oh yes, they assured me I signed it electronically and they had my IP address to prove it. I looked up the IP address and it was listed in New Jersey. I live in Louisiana. Now, we are having trouble with the transmission which statedly IS covered. Unfortunately, nobody will answer the phone. The dealership has been calling for a week and I just spent 45 minutes holding before leaving a message. I have emailed and called... hell, everything but smoke signal. No avail. But one thing that I did not knew was the delayed starting date of my warranty contract. I am with Delta 2 years and unfortunately have to stay 2 more years. From year to year the customers service become worst and worst. It's always hard to call them since they just ignore incoming calls and you have to wait for at least 20-30 min before somebody pick ups a phone. I purchased the Diamond Premier package with Delta about a month after I bought my new but older car. I didn't think I would need it but I figured better safe than sorry. A few weeks ago we had heavy rain and being in a rush to get inside, I didn't realize that I left my headlights on when I went into work. By the time I came out, my car battery had completely died. I called Delta and they sent a tow truck out right away. The guy was able to give me a jump and get me going on my way home. I'm so grateful that I purchased this extended warranty! DO NOT BUY a Delta Auto Protect warranty until you read this review. I've had my policy for almost 4 years. During that period I've had 3 claims. Each claim was an absolute nightmare. You wait on hold for hours to talk to someone and when they do decide to answer...nothing but lies. That changed the other day when I actually talked to a claims rep that was honest! I won't give out his name or extension as I fear he'd be fired. I asked the rep how the shop would be paid on an authorized repair they are working on (I was told when I purchased the policy a shop is paid by company credit card as soon as the repair is completed). Delta is known for NOT paying claims. His answer absolutely stunned me. He told me Delta uses a third party to process checks and it usually takes 1 to 2 weeks for that to happen. He went on to say that once Delta receives the check from the processor it takes another 1 to 2 weeks for them to get the check to the shop. I said "it takes 3 to 4 weeks for the shop to get paid"? The answer was YES. I then asked how people get their cars back as no shop will release the car until the bill is paid. He told me you just have to wait or pay the bill YOURSELF and then ask Delta for reimbursement. I did just that on a claim a while back and submitted the bill to Delta for reimbursement. Guess what...a year later and still no check. UPDATE: Delta must have seen this review! I got a check today from them for $188. It was the reimbursement mention above. I paid the shop on 2/16/18 and got reimbursed on 4/11/19. Yes that's right. It took just shy of one year, 2 months to get reimbursed by Delta for $188! I bought an extended warranty to avoid paying out of pocket for car repairs. What if the bill had been $3000 and I hadn't had the money to pay the shop myself...I could finally be getting my car back after 14 months. Think about that if your considering going with Delta. JUST NOTICED THIS: Look at all the reviews so far this year. 7 out of a total of 8 five star reviews this year came in on the same day. Interesting. I'm sure it's just coincidence. Yea...right! The next claim was with my same GM dealer on the Malibu and Delta told the dealer that they would supply the needed wheel bearing. 6 days with a rent a car and no part was sent. I purchased 2 warranty policies from this company in April/May of 2017. 1 Policy was for $1700 and the 2nd was for $1200. What I thought was a great idea to have purchased turned into a HUGE mistake! At first the sales rep that helped me was very pleasant, his name was Shaun Michaels, but of course he is... He sold me 2 policies. It wasn't until late November...maybe early December when I had to use one of the policies, I had my jeep towed to the local dealership, who advised that I need to have my starter and some wiring thermostat replaced. Sounds easy right... well they said the dealership was charging too much for the replacement parts so I said fine it was only about a $30.00 difference and I would pay the difference... No biggie. So the Dealership had my car ready in about 2 days. I picked up my car, paid the difference and went on without any worries.... Well it wasn't until the service manager at the dealership started calling me about a week later because Delta Auto never paid them the bill. After hours and hours on hold and many calls they finally made a partial payment on the bill that was due to the dealership. Why they didn't pay the bill in full I have no idea because it wasn't like there was some huge bill, it was less than $700.00. It took them almost 2 months to pay the bill in full, not to mention several calls from the dealer ship as well as myself to resolve it. In fact the Dealership was so upset with the last of professionalism... They told me that they will never work with Delta for warranty again so if I needed my car worked on it would have to come out of my pocket.... Either way... it was settled... yes, after many many calls of me complaining and at one point this whole situation had me in tears..... So now fast forward to about 3 weeks almost a month ago, I took my car in for an oil change and my mechanic said that I need my radiator replaced... Perfect, no worries right.. a radiator is under warranty. So I called in to Delta to file a claim.... Yes, almost an hour on hold, the girl that answered asked if she could take a message as she is only helping with overflow calls, I said No problem, left a message, waited several days to no surprise, I had to call again and wait another 45 minutes, this a normal wait time that I have endured EVERY time I call. I finally get through to someone... His name is Aaron Lynch (The same man that helped me resolve the dealership dispute months ago), as he and I start speaking, he tells me that I did not have an active policy and that I called in to cancel it in January... News to me?? I never did. He then proceeds to tell me that he will need to review this with management and that he would call me back in 24-48 hours... He never called, So I call again, wait for 45 minutes if not longer and he gets on the phone to apologize for not calling back but he was very busy. I still am disputing the fact that I did not cancel the policy, if fact if I did, where's the cancellation notice that I should have signed?? They don't have one because I didn't cancel. Aaron then proceeds to tell me that he needs to speak with the IT department to review my conversation where I cancelled the policy and he would call me back in 24-48 hours... LIES, LIES and more LIES!! He never called me back, so today I called again to speak to a man by the name of Hector(funny thing is... I am almost 99.9% positive it was Aaron Lynch). Anyways, Hector will not transfer me to Aaron and then proceeds to pretty much tell me I am a Liar, that I can cancelled the policy and that I refused to sign the cancellation agreement back in January. Does this even make sense?? and that I have a check in route that was issued on June 13th 2018. He then tries to give me a tracking number of the check, but while I am on the phone l try to track the envelope and there is no tracking, the label was created but it had no additional information.. First is was sent to the wrong address, than it sent out on a Friday, never made it. Than I was told it went out on may 3rd, never made it. Than it went out on may 10th, never made it. Very poor customer service. You can wait up to 45 minutes to speak with someone. I called before having service done to make sure that I was covered, the rep said that I was covered but then denied payment stating that the power window switch is an option. Very nasty when I finally cancelled the policy and they owe me a refund per Florida State law and I cannot get anyone in the office to get me an answer. The BBB and the Attorney General's office are waiting for the ppwk from me to start an investigation, same with channel 5 investigative reporter.
