After purchasing a 5 year 100000 mile warranty from Delta, and after a fast talking representative sold me on this product, and after I paid for the entire contract, I checked around and found a less expensive and higher rated auto warranty company. On April 2019 I called to cancel, knowing that, according to the company, I would receive a pro rata net check back from them. To date, and this is September 9th, 2019, and after about 8 calls to them, I still have not received a check on the unused warranty period. Promised, and not delivered, to date. I have now talked to 6 different individuals at the company, after each time waiting many minutes on hold, but have not received any assurance of their contractual obligation being fulfilled. Do not, and i repeat, do not do business with them. Good sell, and absolutely no follow through. My next call is to the Better Business Bureau, and possibly Small Claims Court. read more

I met car hit and run cases 3-4 times and 2 times my car was hit when parked and enough damage was done every time that needed repair. My car went in for a water pump replacement & front control arm bushings. Delta agreed to pay $1453 to the dealership. I picked up the car & paid my deductible. Delta only made one credit card over the phone payment to the dealership of $400. This was after numerous calls by both the service department & myself. I personally spoke to Aaron x404, Shawn x412, Hector x428 & A Marketing Mgr at x420 who did not give his name. In all cases I was assured the claim would be paid that same day. I also left numerous voice mails to anyone & everyone I could reach out to at this company. I wound up paying the dealership out of my own pocket & now have a useless warranty that I paid $2400 for. This claim started in 08/2018 & is still unresolved. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They talk a good game & sound like they are sincere but they are obviously picking & choosing whom to pay & whom to not pay. I purchased an Auto Warranty from Delta Auto Protect. It included 5 years/85,000 miles of coverage. My member number is *********. When I had an issue with my car I took it to a mechanic. Delta Auto Protect approved the claim for the repair and the mechanic repaired the car. But then Delta Auto Protect never paid the claim. The only way that I could get my car back was to pay the mechanic myself. I then called Delta Auto Protect to cancel my policy and get a pro-rated refund since they don't pay out claims. They allowed me to cancel and said they would refund me $1311.67. I agreed and signed the cancellation on April 3, 2019. They said I would receive a check in 60 business days. After 60 days business days I called and asked where the check was. They said it was being sent out 10 days after that call. 10 days later I called again and asked where the check was. They said they would send it the following week. It never came. I have now called countless times and have been lied to over and over again. I have submitted complaints to the Attorney General in CA, PA, and the BBB in PA. Let's form a class action lawsuit and go after these terrible people. read more

Purchased "Diamond Premier" plan in April 2016, which was their highest level of coverage. Needed a covered repair in April 2018. They accepted the claim, however only agreed to cover a fraction of the cost even though it was a fully covered repair - so I paid over $1700 out of pocket. When the repair shop attempted to get paid for the approved claim amount, they were constantly given the run around, until the repair shop eventually insisted I pay the remaining balance out of my own pocket. At this point, I began calling Delta Auto Protect myself and talked to Aaron and Marie several times. Both of them told me that a check would be sent and received within 10 business days. This happened over 5 times. I also left voice mails and sent emails with the same run around. Claim was submitted on April 24th, it is now July 31st, and still have not received reimbursement for my claim. The warranty is completely worthless, as they do not pay the claims, and if they eventually do (based on complaints I've seen on the Better Business Bureau site --- wish I thought to check those before I bought this) it is after the same exhausting run around that I have gone through. read more

After having a very positive experience in August with the company, I highly recommend Delta Auto Protect for anybody who needs an extended car warranty. I was unlucky to have my Beetle's transmission fail on the way home to work, which left me pulled over on the side of the road needing a tow. After calling Delta Auto Protect's customer service number, I was able to get a tow from nearby. A man named Steve assisted me with arranging a tow truck to come to my location and found a Volkswagen dealership my car could be taken to. The tow and repair processes were very easy and quick, and each person who helped me along the way was polite and understanding of how frustrating it is to have car trouble. The transmission needed to be fully replaced, which would be extremely expensive, but my warranty covered a majority of the cost. A small payment was all I was responsible for, thankfully. read more

Delta is the worst extended warranty service I have ever worked with. This is what two repair shops have told me and will not work with them again. First issue happened a couple of years ago. The shop called them and provided part they considered considerably substandard and they said they would not cover it if anything went wrong. They then did not pay the shop for months. They told me they would not accept any issue repairs that involved Delta ever again. I have an outstanding issue I called in about in May. Alternator needed to be replaced. I contacted Delta prior to taking to shop and told shop when I brought car in. They never called me or the shop back. I had to pay out of pocket so I could have a car. This bill was around $800. I have called numerous times to be told someone will call me back. No one has called back. the 4th call in I was told to fax invoice for alternator. I have not heard back. Last 2 calls they said they would mark it as urgent and still have yet to hear back. I am out $800. Now I have suspension issues. I let Delta know I was taking it in. Mechanic called in the morning and was told there was queue of about 4 hours. 8 hours later they have not heard back. This shop said they have never experienced anything like this in 20 years. This issue is looking to cost around $2200 and I need the warranty service I paid $2500 to cover this like they promised. The customer service is horrible and goes no where. Looking at recent complaints this company is a sham and should not be in business since they either will not call back in timely manner, or they want to replace parts with substandard parts, or don't cover at all. The service writer had to call for 3 weeks before she got a denial from them. They would put her on hold for extended periods of time, then either hang up or say they would get back in a hour with a answer. Purchasing coverage from Delta Auto Protect was an easy decision for me, especially a warranty that keeps me feeling safe on the road. I use my car a lot during the day and want to have the peace of mind knowing that if my car breaks down beyond the normal wear and tear of everyday use I'll be safe and covered, especially if I need to call a tow truck or book a rental car. With the coverage, someone will bring me gas if my car runs out which instantly makes the warranty worth it for me. It is surprisingly hassle-free for the most part. I've had mostly positive experiences with this company, but i did have some delay when I recently had my car in the shop. Apparently there was some type of miscommunication that resulted in my vehicle being held in the shop a day longer than expected. They then asked Delta Auto for payment and were assured that payment would be made the next day via a corporate credit card. This was two weeks ago and nothing has been paid. Every time my service shop calls in for payment, the customer service people give them the runaround. Now the service shop is demanding that I pay for the repair and deal with Delta. This was not the experience I was promised when I signed the contract. SCAM ARTISTS! We paid $1500 for our vehicle warranty and the first time we took it to the shop they chose not to cover multiple items and paid out a claim and was a huge hassle. We decided at that point to trade in the car and request a refund for the remaining warranty. My husband has called and canceled with them since 10/2017. Nothing. No check. He called in November they said check in the mail at that point it was approximately $700+. We waited and waited nothing. Again he called in December. Check in the mail. Jan-to now calling and calling and nothing. Now today he gets ahold of someone who now tells us our refund is 200.00. We ask why??? Woo boy! Driving during rush hour can be rough with bumper to bumper traffic. This is not the time to experience car malfunction but it just so happen to me coming home from work. Setting in traffic my car all a sudden cut off in the middle of the highway. I was so lucky to be able to coast it to the side of the road. Just thinking that it may have been overheated I just let it set for awhile. When I tried to start it again it would not overturn . I knew then to call Delta Auto Protect I had taken out a policy with them. The friendly associate quickly arranged for a towing service to come to my rescue. The truck was there within 30 minutes and towed me to any destination of my choice. At the garage the service technician examine my vehicle and told me my starter had gone bad. Also, that it would take a couple of days to replace. As I was waiting DAP called me to check on the situation and I told them they promptly arranged for a rental car to be delivered to the service garage. DAP has been a life saver just think of the high cost I was able to save by just taking out a modest policy. I took my car in for repair, it took 6 days to get a claim number and then, 2 weeks for delta to get an inspection done. I called and called before they got the inspector there, the shop called repeatedly and nothing. Delta lied and said they never got the fax for the cost, then, after the inspector came to verify what needed to be done, another 4 days passed and they said that they would send the part . Another 3 days later and they turned around and said they would pay money towards the repair. So, the shop got the work done, which after all of this, only took 4 hours to do. Yet, after I was told that I called to get a quote and told the person I had aftermarket wheels and I am always told no problem. I know the term crook gets thrown around fairly easy but These guys are the poster children for scam. The first claim I put in took several weeks to pay the mechanic. My car was held hostage for the entire time. A year latter put in and got approve for a claim for $1186. I had to pay it because my repair shop would not deal with them again. The repair was completed in feb of 2019. I still have not been reimbursed. After no less than 8 different occasions they said a check was sent out. I have spent about 40 hours of phone time being hung up on or being told a check was sent or will be sent. 5 different managers used the same script. About how THEY were going to solve my problem personally. They have no intentions of paying multiple claims . I am now in the process of filing a claim with small claims in NY. This particular company will not volunteer the fact that they do not cover diagnostic. Diagnostic is a term used meaning what's required from mechanics (whoever you choose to do the repairs) to figure out what's going on with your vehicle. today is Thursday March 8th, and I have yet to receive the prorated check that is due back to me from this company. I was informed that I would receive this check on the 15th of last month. Now every time that I call, the rep gives me the run around and says that their mgt will return my call & nvr happens. I did get one rep out of the million times ive called to try to have to funds reverseed or (actually cared) in which the attempt was a failure. Horrible customer service. Learn from my painful situation. Still attempting to locate this $1,500 refund check from them. Since then I am now covered by another company. My car needed a ignition when my key stopped working, I finally decided to get it fix. I called Delta to see what my options were and the rep advised me to take my vehicle in and they would contact the repair shop as well to coordinate a repair and rental. According to the repair shop, my vehicle would take a couple of weeks to fix because they had the parts to fix my ignition and locks on my car. I called Delta back to inquire about my options on getting a rental car, and they assured me that I could have one for as long as needed to get my car fixed. This made my life much easier. I was happy to be able to do my everyday tasks, and even happier to receive my vehicle in 5 days, completely fixed and 3 brand new keys. read more

They have a terrible rating on Yelp! but Delta Auto Protect does not even come up in the Yelp! search box. When I enter Delta Auto Protect in my Yelp! account in Rochester NY several local auto repair shops come up but Delta does not appear at all. They are not rated by the BBB but BBB lists Delta as having 372 complaints in the past 12 months. read more

The Delta Auto Protect extended warranty service has been very helpful for me in the past. I purchased recently but have gotten results fast. So many times I have faced deterring issues but the people there have helped each time. A recent example of the company's helpfulness was when my car broke down. The situation was quite disruptive, but I knew Delta would take care of it. When the jump I tried did not help get the car started, I called Delta for help for the second time and spoke to Francine once more. She arranged for a tow and a rental car while mine was in the shop. When the repairs were completed all I had to take care of was my deductible. I think it is the best idea to not only get insurance for your Auto but also its parts as well so that if anything breaks down at any time you are able to get it fixed without spending much. This lead me to buy an extended warranty for my car along side the insurance. These two things are different from each other. My insurance covers the loss or damage to your car in case of any collision or fire etc. And Extended warranty is power train portion of the car that covers the internal and external engine and transmission etc. So, I purchased an extended warranty for my Buick when its factory warranty expired an it was the best decision. Because after 3 months of buying the warranty I had an accident and my loss was covered but the car broke down badly and needed repair. Then only then I realized how important an extended warranty is for your car that too from a reliable company that stay behind its contracts and accepts the claims. The lines were busy and once a guy picked up the call and put me hold for 20 minutes. It annoyed me and I got realy frustrated as I was at the middle of the road and no service center was near within 25 km radius. I purchased an extended warranty from Delta as a replacement when factory warranty of my Scion expired. I got different quotes from various companies but Delta's offer was most reasonable and attractive. The guy was upfront and pleasant he guided me really well. He helped to purchase the best option for my car and I also got discount for 1 year because of the promotions. I filed my first claim after 5 months of purchasing the warranty but the sales guy recognized me when I called him and he approved the repair after talking to the dealer.
