I had a very bad experience with Delta Breeze Marine. Possibly due to uncertified mechanics. My boat was stranded on the water due to no cotter pin in my shift cable. They also forgot to tighten the bolts on my water pump pully. They also returned my boat to me with a hole in the new shift cable bellow that they installed and they installed the exhaust bellow and gimbal bearing bellow incorrectly. I paid for a carb rebuild and it ran worse then when I brought it in. Lastly, my boat still dies in neutral, something I paid to have fixed. It was so bad I had to bring it to another mechanic because I did not trust their workmanship. The spark plugs did not look new either, I paid for new ones. They told me my boat was sea worthy, good thing I did not bring it out into the ocean. read more

I called in about a trailer repair I needed done. It required some welding at a part that covers the tires with a step. There was a metal bracket that broke off. Their phone was busy so I left a message. I was given a call back within 10minutes! I believe ron the owner called me back letting me know they don't do welding repairs but recommended me to someone that could! I am very picky with who i deal with so after much research, i finally decided to give Delta Marine a shot at working on my 1958 Dorsett. They did a great job finding the short in my electrical that another mechanic couldnt figure out. On top of great work, i enjoyed working with them. Last weekend, i had an issue while on the lake with my kids. i called and Ron walked me through what the problem was with my tilt/trim and i was able to fix it the next morning. Being winter they were booked up for 2 months working on other boats. After talking to Ed for 20 minutes getting all kinds of trouble shooting info, I could still not figure out what was wrong. He said to bring my boat in and he would look at it. I did and they fixed my problem that day. I picked my boat up the following day and had a chance to talk to Ben who worked on my boat. If your boat needs repair, service or even a genuine, professional opinion, I implore you to use Delta Breeze! My wife and I were about to donate our boat or push it over a cliff-we were told to do this by another mobile boat service-because it needed too much repair and wasn't worth it. Thankfully, I phoned Delta Breeze and spoke to Ed, who spent nearly 20 minutes with me during my first phone call. He was absolutely professional, knowledgeable and mentioned that parts for our boat were readily available. This sort of Cinderella story doesn't happen for everyone and Ed was upfront with me during our initial conversation. "Jason, we'll take a hard look at the boat and assess if it's worth repairing. I took my newly purchased 1998 Larson for service, boat was slow, bad props, battery issues, exhaust smell, and met a very professional group, who explained in perfect details of the potential work needed. They completed the job with 5 weeks, a little longer than anticipated and $2700 cost for replace exhaust manifold, new props, boat delivered late,due to late delivery of parts, but they took the boat out for trials after installing the right props, boats runs great now. It is not often that we find a shop to work on our car or boat that you can completely trust. The men at Delta Breeze run a shop that is literally second to none. I purchased a 2002 Four Winns Horizon 180 in Las Vegas last December. The boat had not been used for several years so I got a good deal. I returned home to Solano county and took a few months rebuilding the trailer. I then started to work on the boat and quickly realized that I was over my head. I had no experience in boat out drives and the like. I found Delta Breeze on the web with a five star rating and I am glad I did. They surveyed my boat and found the hull and the out drive sound. Unfortunately my coupler was worn out and they needed to pull the engine to replace it. They explained to me that since the engine was out of the boat the items I had requested to be serviced would be completed at a discount as they were now easy to access. They also suggested other items that should be addressed as the engine was out. They replaced the operating cables, moved the oil filter, inspected the manifolds, installed manifold and block drain hoses, a gimbal bearing and many other items at a more than reasonable cost. I have been doing business with Ron and his crew from Delta Breeze Marine since 2013, I have had maintenance and two major repairs done. I am very particular about whom I do business with; and my pessimism usually only gets worse after I have concluded whatever transaction it is I have going on. Most businesses don't know the first thing about customer service. When I spun the engine coupler on my 2000 Maxum I called Ron up while still on the water. He walked me through several trouble shooting steps trying to diagnose the problem and hopefully get me on my way. Although my boat wasn't about to start moving again that day, I was amazed that Ron was willing to take the time with me on the phone to help diagnose it anyway. Rarely does a person get the feeling that they can implicitly trust someone they do business with, but with Ron that's exactly what you get. When I finally got my boat into the shop, Ron's crew were able to get my boat repairs completed ahead of schedule and for less money than his "worse case" scenario. I was able to get the engine coupler, spark plugs, cap and rotor, oil/filter change, outdrive lube, and blower vent repaired for what I had budgeted for the coupler. How often does a person go into any kind of repair facility and the cost turns out to be cheaper than was originally quoted. While I am sure that there are other boat repair shops that do a great job for their customers I have yet to find a facility that does it consistently time after time like Delta Breeze.
