Showed up early and even worked late as needed in this very hot September weather in Texas. Totally delivered on everything they promised and we did too. We treated them to lunch 3 days and topped it off with a bonus 30-pack of beer each after the job was completed. Even encouraged them to swim in the pool afterwards. I believe in rewarding people for their hard work. They also had the best price for the best value from the 3 different quotes we got. Brandon says he loves what he does and looks forward to doing it every day. He even routered the edge of the boards right next to the pool, the steps, and the rails to give everything a nice smooth look and feel. I would highly recommend Smith County Contracting for any and all of your construction and building needs!

They…read moredid do a good job on first small project but since then hired them again and it has been a battle from start. Paid 1/2 up front so could buy materials, this was on Tuesday. Project was paint, make repairs, build new steps, and other smaller things to my house. Got money on Tuesday didn't come back till the next Monday with no supplies. Said since his business was 1 1/2 hour away from my house that would cut into working time. Remember he worked for me before at same place but now 3 hours driving time is factor in work time and purchasing supplies time. He rarely showed up before 11 am and left by 3 pm. He had to ask for more advance money because spent my money on truck repairs and so couldn't buy any paint. Already 2 weeks in so had to trust him or would loose $7000 and work barely done. The whole project was only supposed to be two weeks. Kept moving from one area to another never quite finishing an area. When got to painting chimney told us rotten. We agreed to additional $2800 to repair, replace, and make safe. Put it in writing too. His ideal of safe was to use particle board and pressed wood. When chimney man came to check told us would probably catch fire. When confronted him he was rude and argumentative so we asked him to finish what we had paid for and leave. We had luckily on paid $1400 on chimney so not out full amount of extra project but had already paid full amount in house repair. 5 days later came back to do this but only fixed couple things and left. We now have to pay someone to finish what we paid him for originally let alone the mess with chimney being unsafe. We have everything written out but can't afford to pursue in court because having to finish his leftovers. So beware of this business He is now harassing me with text messages.

Decided to allow them to do full height backsplash in kitchen and cover my fireplace to use up the extra materials. They never came to install the fireplace, kept my materials that I paid for, and I had to pay another company to finish their job. Would not recommend them for there lack of business ethics.

Due to the age of the floor, and the unavailability of the existing floor product, we had to do a complete replacement. My wife and I were most impressed with Michael Yanez, owner of Best Budget Flooring and Remodeling, so we chose his company for our wood floor replacement. We couldn't be more impressed with the entire process. Best Budget replaced our engineered hardwood with luxury vinyl flooring. It only took Michael's flooring and painting teams three days to complete the project. The floor is approximately 1000 square feet. They moved all of our furniture, hung plastic to prevent dust from invading the rest of our home, removed the quarter round, removed the old floor, sanded and prepped the foundation, installed the new floor, repaired the water damaged baseboards, installed new quarter round, painted all of the baseboards, cleaned up after themselves, and moved all furniture to exactly where we wanted it. We were blown away with how quickly the project was completed. My wife and I absolutely love our new floor. Michael and his team were knowledgeable, professional and very courteous. Michael visited our home several times throughout the three days to make sure everything was going well. I couldn't be more impressed, and we would absolutely use Best Budget Flooring again. I received bids from several companies to replace all of the carpet in my house with wood EVP hard…read moreflooring. Not only did The Added Touch give me the best bid, they were the only bid that did not want to put transition pieces across every doorway and instead offered a seamless installation. The installers did an excellent job -- their measurements and cuts were so precise I almost didn't put quarter-round down at the baseboards. While there were a couple of hiccups during installation, one phone call to Irene and all was well. Irene definitely provided the added touch!
