Turning down the online registration and appointment confirmation option due to standard privacy concerns, I didn't mind filling out two pages of the standard medical forms for my child on our first visit. We arrived early and listened to holiday tunes being piped into the waiting room, although the kid did not care much for the Ray-Ban promotional video on a loop. (It was a visually engaging pinball scene, but it was quite short and lacking in compelling content.) Our appointment went smoothly and on time, with the front desk staff being pleasant and courteous. Cardona herself was just lovely and was quite nurturing with her new young patient, finding slight astigmatism and just a touch of myopia (near-sightedness). However, she did not recommend getting glasses for my beloved offspring, suggesting instead that we incorporate screen breaks from our bane of online schooling every 20 minutes for at least 20 seconds. It's an excellent idea, and one I wish the school district had thought to incorporate into its teaching guidance amid our COVID-19 crisis. I was relieved to dodge the costs of new eyeglasses for the time being and encouraged to take more screen breaks myself. Paying out of pocket, the eye exam, which did not include (as far as I know) a glaucoma screening, cost me $135. (Of course, I took the opportunity to explain to my little one about the profit motive behind health insurance in the first place. It sounds even weirder when put into terms a kid can understand.) In all, it was a pleasant experience, and it made me happy to be able to patronize a local, independent business over a mega-corporation. We both left in a good mood, which is a considerable feat in this day and age.

For starters, to make an appointment It takes them wanting to take you as a patient. Also, if you are a union member, be very careful with giving them the voucher,As they don't know, the policies of how to Properly enforce them. as a side note, they say they have to have you have a "mandatory"retina scan for an additional $50 that is their upsell says the doctor won't see you without it, which brings me to the next topic. There is no physical doctor in this location. It's all via the comfort of her own home via video. Any questions that you have afterwards? The receptionist has to text a doctor and have to wait for a response. Another note once you are picking out glasses,Although the selection is not new, they do have a lot NONE have prices on it. So if you have a question about 12 classes, she has to send pictures to the doctor and wait to get a response back on the prices. We went on the saturday, which they are supposed to open at ten in the morning and waited for the girl to arrive in front of the location until about ten twenty six when she finally showed up. When these things were brought up to the attention of *EMILY* the office administrator instead of taking a with a grain of salt, she stated that she does not want to deal with us as clients because she did not appreciate the constructive criticism, which in all businesses, is imperative for growth. The best thing about this dispensary is its convenience and their staff (security?) that greets you upon entering the front door. Aside from that, I'd say be very very cautious. They like to hurry you along, no courtesy or respect if you'd prefer to browse or ask questions, and even worse, they do NOT inform you about otherwise "hidden" fees after purchasing products. They don't share anything in advance. You either know already or you'll find out after the fact. Horrible! I'd recommend you use cash only. It's the safest bet! Otherwise, be aware that they do not accept credit cards, only debit. And keep in mind that for using your debit card there will be an additional $3.50 surcharge (and possible a fee from your bank, depending on who you bank with). The Apothecarium's system will process your transaction as an 'unauthorized' atm purchase/withdrawal. There are other dispensaries all around if you're into it, so this is not the only space. If you do go here, proceed with caution and at your own risk. Twice within the past few years was enough for me! That second chance was the last. Tiny parking lot with minimal spaces on the side of the building. It's easy to miss so look closely or you'll bypass it.
