The result was my mention of dry eye while wearing contacts being used to bill both vision and insurance for the same visit. I didn't receive any additional testing or treatment for this and the combined bill was in excess of 600. I now owe towards my deductible for a routine eye exam. Upon further examination, I brought it up to their front office and was immediately countered with a copy of my signature. The exchange here felt very contractual as opposed to medical and they only care about your diagnosis as a means of having more ways to bill insurance companies. Beware

Dr. Scaramia worked with me to get the best contact lens combination possible. We tried one brand that wasn't great, then the doc put me in a brand of contacts that are wonderful for my dry eyes. Then we tried several lenses, 2 in the left eye and 4 in the right, to ensure I was getting the best prescription. The follow-up visits were at no charge, so it's obvious that this doctor truly cares about his patients and what is best for them. Beyond his infinite patience, Dr. Scaramia is also kind, friendly, and terrific at explaining his process. I highly recommend Dr. Scaramia.

However I was so disappointed in my new Dr that this year I said screw it, I'll pay to see Dr Scaramia again! So happy I did! Worth the $125 contact lens exam and fitting! He is super nice, takes his time to discuss everything with you and answer all your questions! He never once rushed me and I literally wanted to hug him when I was leaving, but I didn't lol. Although located in the Costco warehouse, you don't need to be a member to visit him, but you do need to be a member if you wish to purchase your contacts or lenses through their optical department. It is a small office with one Dr. (Dr. Tsai). Both the Dr. and the receptionist were very friendly and knowledgeable. They used new looking technology - gone are the days of the "air puff" test. After my exam the Dr. showed me a photo of my eyes and explained what she looks at and what it means for me. While I was waiting for my pupils to dilate I looked at some frames and the receptionist helped me pick some that he thought would fit my face and took photos for me to send to my wife. I didn't end up buying any frames because I'm bad at making decisions right away, but my only complaint would be that the selection was small since it is such a small office, but that was why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 - otherwise I was very happy.
