I am staying here for a conference and what I've enjoyed about this hotel is... 1. Shampoo, body wash and conditioner is mounted to the wall in the shower and actually decent quality product 2. Four pillows provided on the king bed (I love extra pillows) 3. Netflix/Hulu, etc available on the TV 4. Cute outdoor patio area 5. Blow dryer provided in bathroom The waitstaff was friendly and replenished certain food during lunch when requested - special shout out to Leslie and Desiree! One thing I wish was different is a more plush/thicker comforter and a soap dish for the room bathroom.

To say the least I was impressed with this hotel. this is my first visit to the VA since last year. I had given up on chain hotels because of the last experience my family had when we visited this city. I'm a stickler when it comes to cleanliness even before the covid pandemic. I always take my own cleaning supplies due to the rare autoimmune that I have. I will say I can give this hotel a B- plus, only because there wasn't a microwave in the room. I didn't know the reservation that I had booked was a standard room which we found out do not have microwaves. A few other minor things were found (the carpet needs a deep clean and the bottom matress could be replaced or cleaned) My husband is always laughing at how I do my own inspections and wipe downs. Saying, " I need to join the board of hotel inspection or quality control'. We arrived early, so the front desk associate allowed an early check-in. Check in was a breeze, the associate was courteous, and the facility was beautiful. I even got a chance to spend the wheel due to me being a hotel rewards member. Yea.... not telling what I won!

Took a short little trip to the Tidewater area to handle some family business, and we stayed here. It's close to the interstate, shopping, restaurants, and much more. The check-in process was a bit disorganized and slow. There was only one person up there when we checked in Friday evening. She was somewhat pleasant, but she was under pressure as the line was getting longer. Finally, we got our keys and headed to the room. The lobby and eating areas were clean. The room was clean also. The problem I had was that there is no microwave in the room (only had a mini fridge) & there was mildew stains on the inside of the shower curtain. That is disgusting. Outside of that, I enjoyed my stay & will absolutely go back. Next time, I will take advantage of the pool and gym.

Bathtub did not drain. Stood in soapy water.

One of the worst Marriott hotels I've ever stayed at. I travel a lot and understand businesses, I'm not too critical on hotels but this place is bad. Carpet looks like it's been in a bowling alley for 20 years. They don't have fitted sheets on the beds so you wake up with your face on a nasty mattress and mattress cover. The iron had sticky stuff on it and ruined my shirt. Tv didn't work. Shower had zero pressure and was either hot or cold, not in between. Bathtub didn't drain. From the surface it seemed ok but the more you looked at it, it got worse.

Bed sheets did not fit bed and keep sliding up around the corners. Exposed staining on the bed.

My work put us up in this hotel. Overall it seems like a decent place. The bar/restaurant downstairs is nice. The rooms themselves seem fairly standard, but after a few days of our stay I started to notice how gross the room was. The sheets did not cover the bed and reveled staining. And the blanket was full of dark lumpy stuffing. Not sure if it was mold or just from never getting replaced. Overall very disappointed and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Worst hotel ever. Bartender got chemical burns all over hands and had to go to the ER due to a manager pouring bleach everywhere without diluting. Customers at the bar now have slight reactions on their forearms and elbows including me. I have asked for my room to be cleaned for the last 4 days. They keep saying that it will be done but the cleaner says my room is not on schedule and has nothing but attitude. Can I get a fitted sheet and some towels please!!!

Check in reception was not to be expected from the Marriot brand at all. The check in clerk was aloof and seemed disenchanted with doing her job duties. Upon arriving into the room I noticed a bed made with unclean sheets with hair and stains. I requested another room, but once again the disenchanted, aloof receptionist was not able or unwilling to provide a better solution at this point. I opted to have the sheets changed within my presence because I lost all faith with the housekeeping and front desk staff altogether. Unfortunately, I will not stay at this location again and I'm quite disappointed with this hotel and the Marriot brand for allowing this type of services to be provided at its lowest form of customer services.

I've stayed in this hotel six different times. Every time has been just fine. The room is spacious and the bathroom has plenty of space to move around. It has a nice light up mirror and a bath tub. You get free water in the room. There is a fridge but no microwave. The front desk agent told us they could have one sent up to the room if needed. With that being said, the staff members have always been kind and helpful to me. The bed is sort of comfy, you kind of sink down into the mattress, and the pillows are not very supportive. Overall it's fine for a few nights. Also, the parking lot is well lit. This review is solely on the room. I do not utilize the pool, bar or workout room.

I ask what was going on and she said it was a class reunion from New York. I took the dog out at 1020 PM and the party was going strong there was no way to talk. I managed to catch a desk worked in the hall to ask when the party will be over as your "quiet hours" policy says "1030 PM-0700 AM". He said "the DJ will stop at 1100 and the party should be over at 1130" Seems that your "policy" was not in play that night and your "Manager" was enjoying the party so much the comfort of the non-party guests was not a concern. I took the dog out at 0130 AM and the music was loud and the bar area, pool, lobby was packed with intoxicated people that had spilled out into the front drop off area. It's not always fun to have drunk people trying to talk to you at 0130 in the morning when you just want to get your dog back inside. I would never stay here again or suggest this place to anyone that may want to use the bar/pool/lobby. It was hard to know which people were guest or "management" as they blended in so well, I guess they were enjoying the party and not much concern for the other paying guests that were just looking for peace and quiet. This hotel is not for families or anyone looking for a relaxing night.

They had USB ports in the lamps, but it's 2026, who's still using those older USB plugs like that? That alone was frustrating. To be fair, the room itself was clean, but stepping outside into the hallway was a different story. There was what looked like the craziest stain in the carpet, not fresh, but clearly the aftermath of a rough night for somebody. The wild part is we had to walk past it for five days, so whatever cleaning happened clearly didn't fully take care of it. On top of that, the hallways had a light marijuana smell that lingered throughout the building. They do have a pool, but it had to be drained twice during our stay. It also didn't help that kids were running around unaccompanied, not just in the pool, but also in the gym, which ended up getting trashed too. And honestly, calling it a pool is being generous. It's just big enough to qualify, and even then it feels like the bare minimum, closer to a kiddie pool than anything worth using. Now let's talk breakfast, because this one was all over the place. Day one: sausage, oatmeal, boiled eggs. Day two: scrambled eggs and dry turkey sausage. Day three: scrambled eggs, thick cut bacon, corned beef hash. By day five, I just skipped it. And yes, there were waffles every day if that's your thing, but I don't eat those. Honestly, I don't understand why they couldn't just keep it simple, eggs, potatoes, and a meat. Some of the options felt random, and at times, the food just wasn't good. One thing I will give them, the staff was great. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and check-in was quick and smooth. That was easily the best part of the stay. The location is solid too, right by a mall and plenty of food options, which made things convenient. Overall, for the price, it wasn't terrible, but I'd definitely pay a little more next time to stay somewhere else. It didn't ruin the trip, but it also didn't feel like a true Marriott experience. Definitely a one and done for me.

For instance, the breakfast is absolutely the worst I've seen, with the barest of offerings (even the coffee is dispensed from one of those little instant machines) and everything being crammed into a miserable little room that accommodates only four tables for all the guests.
