I paid for a Super Kiss Plus plan and come to find out that Delta Sonic has been doing a basic wash on my car all winter. The basic wash uses a neoprene brush, that and along with their recycled water that is full of abrasive elements after washing multiple cars all day, has left scratches along both sides of my brand new 2026 vehicle. Delta Sonic's area manager Dave was very rude accused me of lying about the damages and the brush causing the damages. He refused to look up camera footage from February, March and April to prove that yes they did use those blue round neoprene brushes on my vehicle even though that was not in my plan. He reprimanded me for having less than 7,000 miles on my vehicle and told me that is a lot of miles for a new vehicle and that is where my scratches came from. I told him I live in the country and work in Buffalo so yes I have miles from driving back and forth to work every day and that would not cause parallel buff lines with scratches that trail along both sides of my vehicle. The only thing my vehicle was squeezed through since I got it was those blue neoprene brushes that should've never been used in the first place because I wasn't supposed to be getting a basic wash. I paid for a super kiss plus plan. So therefore not only did they damage my car they were charging me for a super kiss plus plan and only giving me a basic wash all winter. read more

On 12/15 I went for air for my tires and the guy who claim to put air in said he did, he did not one back tire was at 28 and the one behind the driver size even lower, luckily I went to Goodyear and and was told this, this could have been a catastrophe, talk to the supervisor at the shop and he was very nonchalant, trying to gaslight me. Went on delta sonics website for ceramic detailing. Filled in all the info for my sprinter 3500 even paying the extra fee because my vehicle is bigger than normal. I turned down a $1200 job because I booked this appointment. I get there and they immediately wanted to charge me another up charge because of the size. I paid for the job and caught an Uber home. I got home and they called saying they couldn't do the job because it was too big and they couldn't warranty the job. So i called another Uber to pick me up. They offered a $25 gift certificate for the inconvenience. I'm sure me not patronizing them anymore won't hurt their profits but hopefully it helps someone not waste their time read more

I paid almost $70 for a quick wash and detail of my son's truck which I had borrowed. I thought it would be a nice "thank you". The truck looked okay when they brought it around but as it dried inside you could quickly see the service was horrible and certainly not worth the money! They since responded and asked if I spoke to the manager. The point of the review was, I had no idea how bad the service was until I drove away and the interior started to dry! My neighbor took his car to Delta Sonic for a simple oil change, and now his car is leaking oil all over the driveway. Rather than fix what they broke, they tell him they have cameras filming the repairs/service and they didn't do anything wrong, so 1) they're not going to fix it, and 2) he gets no refund. Apparently, they can't be trusted with simple oil changes or to be honest with their customers. read more

I would like to give 3 1/2 stars for this review but I'll err on the higher side. I got my car detailed as a gift for Mother's Day yesterday. Having done a Yelp event about car detailing I had knowledge and expectations of how the car should be cleaned inside. And my car has been making trips back and forth to Pittsburgh so it really needed a good cleaning. But it wasn't in the category of dirty car horror stories that the car detailer described by any stretch. As I was taught by the zoom program I emptied the entire car of everything before it was taken in for cleaning. I also left all the hidden and not hidden cup holders and compartments open to make sure that they were given the best possible opportunity to get the car as clean as possible. The most important part was the space between the console and the seat. That skinny space you drop things in but can't fit your hand in to clean it up. And of course underneath the seats where the stuff that fell between seat and the console rolled. How did it turn out? Well it was returned to me at about 6:30 at night. It looked good but let me say that I did find a French fry underneath the drivers side seat. They left instructions to leave the windows cracked to let the car dry out. That's not an option if you don't have a garage that locks or a garage at all. Nor should the car be that wet. But in any case I wasn't going to be able to open the windows till this morning. When I got in the car this morning, I thought that I needed to turn on the windshield wipers because the windows were covered in dew or rain. But in fact that rain was on the inside of the car. The windows were so wet in fact that my inspection sticker was soaked and coming off the window and I couldn't drive at all. Even trying to drive wasn't possible with the defrosters on full blast and Kleenex to dry the front window. I had to wait in the driveway for some time till I could get going. When I returned from my errands I took my mats out of the plastic bag and put them on the driveway to dry and left the windows open to dry. I sincerely hope it doesn't rain in my car tomorrow. Overall they did a good job but there shouldn't have been any French fries under anything and the car should definitely have been dryer. What machine are they missing that they should have that would make it possible to have a dry car? They definitely need to invest in that machine. read more

I havnt updated my review of this place in years. But it's undergone a renovation in that time. At least the inside did. They changed the DD seating around and the traffic flow didn't really improve much, at least as far as I can tell. But they do their best. Outside you have 16 pumps I think. 4 banks of 4. I haven't been here since COVID. Pre COVID I went often for lunch. Order at the kiosk : great salads ( create your own, ) pizza, sandwiches .. fresh Turkey. All good. Fast service. I went to the kiosk and ordered a Caprese Sandwich: mozzarella, tomato and pesto and balsamic glaze on a roll - yum, right? I didn't have my reading glasses on and thought it said 8.99. When I took the receipt to the register it was actually $10.99. Hmm, ok? Let's see what this is . The sandwich was prepared quickly but the bag was light! I opened it up and saw A Small foil wrapped circle. Inside was a comstanzas Roll, one slice of melted processed mozzarella and a slice of tomato and then pesto and glaze. Definitely not worth 10.99. You actually get used to how poor your car looks even after tipping some kid to dry the car despite how many places that they miss.. all part of the Delta Sonic low expectations. Yet you pay the auto draft "unlimited" fee every month. Then, despite the mind-numbing experience of uninspiring "service with a frown" you come back again. But this time, after waiting in the long lines for your turn, the gate stays down! Yep, 10 minutes of waiting, cars stacked up behind you and on all sides.. and you can't. go. through. the. gate! UNLESS, you acknowledge right then and there that you AUTHORIZE them to up your monthly auto-charge! Mind you, you can't say no! You have to acknowledge and therefore agree to the upcharge, which comes more than once a year. As your frustration mouns as you go through the wash after having had to agree to pay more - it suddenly hits you! You finally get it! "Unlimited" means there's no limit to how often they can increase your auto draft fee! It's unlimited! But hey, at least they're consistent in their low-quality "service with a frown". I have been an unlimited member for some time now. I went to the Transit road (Lancaster) location tonight for a wash. When I finished, I got out and saw there were still chunks of ice at the rear wheel wells, near the rear doors. To make a long story short, the manager told me "we don't guarantee ice on wheel wells". I was sent back through, and the manager had the hot water and power wash people do what SHOULD be something that is ALWAYS done, particularly at this time of year - pay closer attention to the lower portion of the vehicles, especially around the wheel wells. To me, the whole point of paying for car washes , particularly in the winter, is the whole "chassis bath" rust prevention thing. But when you use their "unlimited" car wash to much they will jack up your monthly rate based on usage and take what you are currently paying and multiply it by a % based on your average usage over 6 Months. So long story short, don't use your UNLIMITED car wash to much or expect a price increase. The term UNLIMITED they use is very false and misleading. I got the best service today at Delta Sonic on main Street in buffalo. I'm a superkiss member so I get to skip the lines, bonus!!!!!! So I tend to go to the car wash whenever, just because I can, because I have unlimited washes as well with the membership. So I cruised through the wash and came out to get the car hand dried. There were two young African American ladies that looked late teens aged and and a young man African American about mid to late twenties. He was obviously training them. He gave directions with reasoning. They listened attentively and and happily were engaged. I lived their attitude. I typically tip a dollar or two. Today I tipped double. I just really enjoyed seeing people actually happy to do their job. It may not last but at least today for me it was great. read more

Mixed feelings about this delta sonic - I've been here for a few different services and had good experiences with some, bad experiences with others. For OIL CHANGE: would recommend. They're first come, first served, so I would recommend trying to go at an off time when they'll be less busy. They're fast, professional, and there's always a coupon available online. Not sure what more you could want as far as an oil change goes. For INTERIOR CLEANING: we live in an apartment building with open lot parking, so cleaning the interior of the car is a bit of a pain. We also have a beagle mix - she has one of those dog hammock things along the backseat which acts as something of a barrier between seats and dog hair, but dog hair still gets everywhere. We were about to go on a road trip with friends and decided to splurge on an interior detailing of the vehicle, with getting dog hair out as one of our main priorities. When my husband brought the car home, I honestly could hardly tell that there'd even been a cleaning done. Dog hair still everywhere, subpar job cleaning the surfaces and windows. Husband said that they'd had him check the vehicle when they were done cleaning to see if there was anything he wanted them to touch up - they hadn't even done the trunk area (Jeep compass - the trunk is like 1/4 of the vehicle, not even touched) and the hair was still much worse than it eventually ended up after he asked them to go back. We weren't expecting a miracle return to new car condition, but we were hoping to be able to notice a difference! In response to my husband asking why there was still SO much dog hair in the vehicle they responded that they "really don't have time for that". Probably not the cleaner's fault, I imagine they are given a certain time frame per vehicle or whatever, but point being - we paid for an interior cleaning, and the interior of the vehicle wasn't anywhere near clean afterwards. So definitely would not recommend them for the purposes of interior cleaning of a vehicle - waste of money, in our opinion. read more

My boyfriend's been after me to change my oil for a few weeks. I am not a car person, but I am a food and people person, and if I had known what a pleasure my visit to Delta Sonic would be, it would have gotten done long ago. Based on prior reviews warning about the evening wait times and praising the pizza, I scheduled my visit to coincide with an early dinner (around 4:30 on a Friday), so I could get my car in, eat some food, and get out. This worked beautifully. After leaving Lolita (my car) in the capable hands of the lube guys, I went over to the main building to peruse the menu. They're known for their subs -- humanely-raised, fresh-roasted turkey, anyone? -- but even more well-known for their brick oven pizza, which actually does get made in a quaint brick oven inside their slick, modern food building. I ordered a slice with a side salad, using a airport-style kiosk to choose my meal. They've ostensibly got everything from low-fat white pizza to pepperoni, but the only thing available at 4:30 was the mushroom, which was luckily delicious. I didn't want the soda that came with my combo, so the counter staff agreed give me a sample of their turtle cheesecake to go, instead. Nice. When I asked if Delta Sonic had recycling, the counter staff member, Nick, explained that DS actually sends their garbage to a facility that sorts all their waste and ensures that all reusable materials get reused. He also explained that any desserts and donuts leftover from the day get donated to a local charity. Nick was extremely knowledgeable about many aspects of the company, in fact, from telling me how DS makes their own biodegradable soaps for the carwash to telling me about the history of the company, which is locally owned. This speaks volumes about how well the company trains and preps its employees, as well as to the quality of the company, since I've certainly worked for companies I was stoked to brag about, and ones I just couldn't wait to leave. Nick wasn't the only stellar staff member at DS. After my meal, the lube shop employee checked me out, informing me that they'd checked my fluid levels, etc. Not once was I pressured to spend any extra money, though he did remind me that I could get a discount on gas next time I came in for service. The carwash guys, too, were sweet -- even on a freezing day when I'm sure they were wet and cold, everyone gave me a smile as I passed through the line (while eating my turtle cheesecake, with a huge grin on my face). Their first store opened in the 1960s in Niagara Falls, the proclaimed "kissing capital of the world" at the time and since that time they've opened gas stations around Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester and have even crossed state lines to Pennsylvania and Illinois. All their locations centralize around the Great Lakes Region. With over 1,000 smiling employees, they have grown to a be a recognizable brand around this region. Getting gas from Delta Sonic is as pleasant of an experience as can be. Why? Their pump locks actually work, you can pay cash without going to see a cashier using their machines and you as a rule pay less than any gas stations for miles. They close a bit early (around 9p), but if I'm near a Delta Sonic -- you bet I'll choose it for gas. I've also been through their car wash a few times and have opted for their interior cleaning and have never been disappointed. Their employees are well trained, kind and helpful and generally upbeat and positive. Most recently, I had an experience getting food from the Delta Sonic here. I decided to try their brick oven pizza and ordered a veggie pizza, which was $11. I did not expect a pizza as good as it was. The crust was thin, delicious and the pizza was perfectly spiced with a generous amount of garlic and toppings (red peppers, mushrooms, onions). It was so good that my partner and I finished off the whole thing in practically one day. I've also tried their subs a few times and they are pretty amazing and inexpensive ($5 for a foot long -- sometimes you can get a coupon while getting gas and get one for $3). Also, they have free wifi here so if you're stuck getting car repairs from any of the mechanics nearby (or at Monroe's like I was that one time), feel free to walk down here with your computer and do what you do. If only there was a Delta Sonic or something similar in Toronto. It's pretty sad when you can't wait to get across the border and go get your car washed! This is my go-to place for gas and a car wash while coming to shop in buffalo. Not only are the car washes both interior and exterior very reasonably priced they also usually have the cheapest gas prices too! No matter how many gas pumps there seems to be (which is lots) this place is always busy and people waiting to fill up or get through the car wash. Better hope the car wash doesn't break down because the wait to get out of the line can take forever! Which just happened to me but all in all it's great service. read more
