He loaned me a couple of E110 subs to demo at home. He reached out via text to see how I was doing and negotiate a possible purchase. When I told him I was interested in demoing the E112's he told me they only one, he tried to sell me the 10 and 12 inch sub at a discount. I wasn't interested, as the size difference would bug me too much. So he asked me if was interested in anything else. I told him I was also interested in a direct to consumer subwoofer brand from Norway. Well I guess that upset him because he told me to return the subs right away, and that I would not be in his "VIP club". Needless to say, I returned the subs and did not make a purchase. This sucks because I really wanted to support a cool local Hifi shop like Mike's. But if he can't accept the fact that people are cross shopping consumer direct brands, he has a rude awakening coming. One star is for the staff, they have been nothing but amazing. In the end, I found a deal online for a pair of E112's that was better than what Mike could offer.

I want to say that I cannot find a phone # for them online... through Google Maps, reviews, or Yelp & I know that this simple fact will make a person feel sketchy about doing business with them, but don't let this phase you. If it didn't they wouldn't be human beings as we all make mistakes, right? But I am so impressed with how hard the team works to correct those issues, big or small. The prices are fair, the price matching policy is very good and the return policies are exceptional. Micro Center is ALWAYS my first choice for tech and it's due mainly to the dedicated staff at the store who go above and beyond. I did it right there in the store. Walked back to the same rep -- suddenly the system wouldn't allow the exchange. He sent me to the Geek Squad desk. Geek Squad and the store manager told me it has to be sent out for repair. I explained the problem in detail to the store manager who has the power to simply continue with store credit. "I'm sorry, I'm not going to do that" was his reply. All of this happened in a single visit. Three different answers, zero resolution. I wiped my entire computer based on an employee's instructions, and now I'm stuck setting it all back up with nothing to show for it. No accountability. No apology. No solution. Filing a BBB complaint. If you're bringing a device here, get everything in writing before you touch it.

After answering question after question and really listening to my responses, Dave set me up with an incredible system. He matched a McIntosh integrated amp with a pair of Dali Epicon speakers and a REL subwoofer. He came out to the house, set-up the entire thing and even corrected errors on my video system. The results were incredible. I could not be happier with the component choices and the musicality of the system. It has a great sound stage. Daves interest, attention and willingness to take the time to explain things are second to none. This is the only place to go when shopping for high-end audio equipment.

He noticed that Simply Stereo was listed on Salamander's website as a premier dealer. He sent an email inquiring about coming in to see some items in person, and we headed there on Saturday afternoon. We were greeted right away by Dave, who was helping a customer carry something out to their car. When he came back in, he listened to what we were there for and showed us upstairs to one of the listening rooms. He patiently answered approximately five million questions from my husband and, as luck would have it, what they had on display almost exactly matched what we were looking for. They were able to to get fiddly with the details of what looking at side panel options and determining how the tv mount connects. It was a no brainer to make our purchase from Simply Stereo. The price was excellent and the customer service was top notch. I shopped around but the most value was ordering it online from an automotive remote site. I interacted with Adam and he was able to show up on the early weekend morning. His text are professional and clear, & he included pictures. Mazda even as far back as 2005 (car was delayed as released as an 2006) used a key card. There is a chip in the card and one in the valet key. Mazda blank metal doesn't have all the slots cut into the blank either. Getting the car to go into reprogram mode didn't work because the console said I need two "keys." However there is a chip in both the medal key and card. So one transmitter set will work, or should have. He drove an hour back and forth to get the other generic key and had to modify it with a Dremel rotary tool so that the key would have tolerance to get through the tabs on the ignition. That didn't work and he is coming back next week to try again with just another chipped key. Didn't charge a trip fee for making a round trip, nor for the generic key that didn't work. I will spread the word within the MazdaSpeed group so they can get help if the elect to get the Mazda key card instead of generic. At least have one original card and one generic real key. At this point I elected to tow it to Mazda DG for them to try with my key. Because if I buy theirs, its considered an "installed electronic part," and they won't accept returns. Too risky for $400. If they can do it I just pay for 1/2 hour of programming. Worst case I have to buy their key, mine is also OEM (not eBay/Amazon). His company slogan should be either 'The Locksmith from Lockport,' or 'The Lockport Locksmith.'

He told me he would arrive in about an hour, and about ten minutes out gave me a courtesy call to let me know he was close by. He not only fixed the lock, he also tightened up the screws and the screen door (that would slam shut previously). Mark was courteous, kind, professional and knowledgeable throughout the whole experience. Definitely going with Mark again anytime we have any key/lock needs! Thank you!

It did take some time getting all of the equipment & parts needed, so if you are looking to put in a system for a particular event, I would plan well-in advance. However, we were kept informed. The basement is not entirely finished because it is used mostly by my teenage kiddos & their friends, but we did want an outstanding entertainment system for them to watch movies & play games. We opted for a projector & screen. We also wanted to integrate the Philips Hue system for a backlighting on the screen that coordinates with the picture. He & his colleagues built speaker boxes for us & the frame behind the screen upon which the lighting strip would rest. It came out amazing! They did an outstanding job. One year later, and all is still running smoothly. I have not had to reach back out to them for anything so far, but I was left with a strong impression that if we needed help with anything we would just be able to call. I feel confident that they would be supportive given the experience we had throughout the initial process.
