By an act of God, I actually reached reps on the phone twice during this span, and both told me they would take care of it and make sure my account was closed, with a zero balance showing. The shops were all very similar and touristy. The selection of restaurants wasn't too exciting either. Parking was challenging in the area. There was some free parking and some paid lots, but all options were full. I stopped by the Visitor's Center as well. Half the lot was reserved so parking here was a challenge also. They could use some *something* to make it more of an experience and a welcome to the town. Everyone was nice, but it felt empty and the amount of fliers for things felt too sell-y. I wanted to enjoy Golden so much, but it really felt like a tourist trap to me.

We also loved hearing Jason and Deanna's story about leaving Kansas and building this special place in Colorado. Their passion and hard work are evident in every detail. Another bonus was the Beer Garden right across the street! It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy a few drinks, listen to live music, and experience the warmth and friendliness of the local community. What started as an unexpected detour became one of the highlights of our trip. We are so grateful for Jason, Deanna, and their incredible campground. This is a new place and still shaping up the place to make it an awesome place. The rv sites are super nice and level. There is no shade trees in the rv area. There is an access road by the facility but not too busy. They are right across the street from a river rafting company and a zip line spot and a running river. It is not a dangerous campground like the negative reviewer states. Showers are clean and really nice. Clean restrooms and the store area is shaping up nicely. This place will be so cool once done. You do get interstate noise but nothing terrible, but expected as you are close to the interstate. The photo is of our tent spot #6. We will be back.

My wife and I jumped in our motorhome and headed to Denver to see our kids. We drove from AZ to Albuquerque and stayed at Sandia for 2 nights, then off to Denver. Windy! Yes. The trip was longer than expected fighting the wind. When we arrived, the staff was friendly and helpful getting us in to space 79 (i think). There are a lot of full timers there including each side of us. Everyone in the park waved hello as they walked or drove by. The park was clean. Only the landscaping needed a little better attention. No trash except for the occasional napkin and such going by. Everyday maintenance employees in golf carts flying by and doing their jobs. I would highly recommend this place as a location for a week, a month, or even longer! 4 Star review only because of the grounds, which were not bad, just needs attention.

I had to take the initiative and just drive here just to make sure that it was open and what we were able to do. I was delighted to find such a beautiful park right along the river bank. Have the ability to tube and have the little ones play. Children can play, and there is also a kid pool (a definite bonus). I was afraid that it would get packed and we end up not being able to stay. So I was left behind, and my husband went back to get the rest of the family. Since it is Monday, I figure it is not going to get too busy. But, I am not going to take a chance. This spot should be on the list of visiting places. Especially right now that Boulder creek is closed and many other outdoor activities.

I also felt safe here which is a huge factor in why I liked it. The hotel itself isn't huge, which in my opinion is nice. I was on the third floor and really enjoyed my room. The bed was cozy, there was ample space to hang items up, they have nice coffee makers in the room, and the bathroom was clean. PLUS they have DryBar products in the bathroom- love that! The lobby has a coffee shop which is a huge plus. Coffee was great and the food was affordable and delicious. They also have a taco spot on the roof. I didn't try the food but it was a nice spot for Mountain View's and sunshine. The fitness center was your typical hotel spot, nothing too crazy but I appreciated it being there. I would stay here again.
