There is not a bad thing I can say about my experience with Luis at Deluxe Heating & Air. Our a/c unit went out, blower motor decided it was done. Called Luis, he came out on Memorial day! He went above and beyond by doing a thorough cleaning of the components, repairing parts of the a/c unit not related to the problem (did I mention the unit is 20+ years old) and completed the job in a very reasonable amount of time. When all was said and done, he walked me through the new components, the work he had done and what to do in case of a problem. These guys deserve to get 6 stars, they are the most honest and dependable HVAC company in the Sacramento Area. Luis is a man of his word and when he says he can do something for a certain cost he comes thru with quoted price or even beats his own quote. I have used them on rental properties and primary home and when I need a HVAC specialist I do not even need to think about who I am going to call, Deluxe Heathing & Airconditioning is a family business and they treat clients like they are family. Incompetent Company. Only 3 employees, including the owner. I hired them for an HVAC routine cleaning. I never had any problems before but after they "worked" on my heater, it only would blow cold air in the middle of winter. After calling them to come back, they insisted it was fine and that the problem was my fault. The lady on the phone is rude, only answers if she feels in the mood. And there is no physical business location to find them if they decide to ghost you! After many phone arguments they came out and fixed it. Guess what? Come summertime I discovered my unit now would only blow hot air. After I left a review on Google the owner claimed I refused to pay to fix the problem. This is a lie. They were the ones who damaged the thermostat and never asked me to pay to replace it, as it was their error.I saved $10 on this company but it cost me much more in the long run. Armando was my technician who came out to inspect and fix my air conditioning unit. He was amazing! I felt like he was honest and did a great job of explaining what was happening with my unit. Had a very good experiene with DeluxeAir. They were able to show up a day early for the appt. and accurately diagnosed the issue as a faulty circuit board. Though they didn't have the part stocked on the truck as it was a 20 year old furnace, they were able to locate one quickly and made arrangements to come out the next day to install the board and get the furnace up and running. The technician was very courteous, engaging and showed me the board and where it was faulty. This is my first review because their service actually warranted me signing up for Yelp. I was very impressed and happy I chose Deluxe Air to service our house. Our AC stopped working sometime in the Fall, and we kind of forgot about it as the temperature got cooler, but as it got hot again, we realized we needed to get our AC unit inspected. After shopping around with other places in the Sacramento, Davis, and Woodland area, Deluxe Air had the cheapest price for a diagnostic. Luis came out right away, was forth right with his procedure and costs, and gave me a very good price to replace the motor and clean out the system. What I would've expected to cost me several hundred dollars was less than $500 and done in less than hour. Very fast and reasonable. I highly recommend as a safe and trustworthy company to go with. Owner Luis installed a new unit for my grandparents yesterday morning. There were some manufacturer issues and the job took much much longer than expected and was not able to be completed same day. Due to the major heat, my grandparents and their special needs daughter had to get a hotel. Things weren't looking good. I made a polite call to Luis and his receptionist Brenda earlier today, both very nice and understanding! They covered the cost of their hotel, gave them a discount on the job and made my grandparents very happy and comfortable. I cannot thank them enough for taking care of this quickly and going the extra mile to cover the hotel. PLUS they temporarily brought in a portable AC unit!!!! Thank you guys SO much!! $70 trip charge, once they arrived they wanted $180 to start checking system and then $30 a gallon to add freon( jug of 25 lbs Freon cost $80). I fired them immediately told them to get off my property.. Paid $70 trip charge and called another vendor. Added 2 pounds Freon in the next 2 hours at a fraction of the cost. read more

Deluxe Air and Luis are God sends! They saved us! Our unit in the attic started making a lot of rattling sounds late yesterday afternoon. I had a good idea what it was since Bell Brothers with whom I have a maintenance plan with had told me about it when they checked it this past March. They said the blower fan will probably need to be replaced soon but should last through the summer. So I called Bell Brothers. They said that under my plan, they have 48 hours to respond. I said it was an emergency because of my son's medical needs and moreover, it was his birthday party at our house this Saturday. Even with that, they told me the earliest they can come is Friday between 3 and 6 pm. Also it will probably take 5 days to order the part. Finally, if I wanted it to get it fixed sooner, call someone else. Needless to say, I was flabbergasted but I had to get it fixed. So I went to Yelp and just started calling someone else. Two other companies couldn't do it...until I spoke to Luis. I explained to him my dire situation. He said he will be in Fairfield the next day but he may be able to stop by Vacaville on the way back to Woodland. But since it's after hours I have to call the office in the morning. He said he will do his best. The next morning, I said a short prayer for help. Then I called and spoke to Luis; he WILL be at our house between 10 and 12. Thank you Jesus!! Awesome! At 10:40 am Luis was up in our attic. He confirmed the broken part, made a few calls and found the part available in Fairfield. He gave me a very decent price to get it fixed and drove off to Fairfield to pick up the part. He was back in less than an hour with the part; installed and system up and running in less than 30 minutes. Cold air blowing again by 12:15 pm! That is what I called outstanding customer service at its best!! I had to get this fixed right away and I couldn't wait until next week. It will be 100 degrees this weekend. I knew there was somebody out there who can get it done. Thank God, I found Deluxe Air and Luis to save the day, my son's health and the party this weekend. Thanks again Luis. I would definitely not recommend this Company. They gave me an estimate of $7,200. for an entire new AC unit. When I said I could not afford this amount, they then changed it to a New Compressor and other equipment with a new estimate of $2,227. I sought a 2nd opinion and the repair for a new AC breaker and some other minor adjustments was completed for $60.00 This was a total scam from this company who tried to sell me a new unit and then tried to get 2 grand out of me. I had great experience with Deluxe Air. Recently,during these very hot days I received call from my tenant saying that something wrong with the AC. After calling few places which were offering soonest appt in 3 days to a week I finally called Deluxe ,which said the they gill come tomorrow (I am sure,that he might have come even same day,if my tenant would have been available.) Luis (the owner) came next day and examine everything carefully. He asked me a questions which helped him to eliminate other possible problems. He maybe spent over 30 min at my house patiently explaining me the possible problem (which was just a dirty filter which blocked air flow and cause pipes to freeze) ,unplug AC and said me to wait a day with new filter and plug back after all ice will melt. He didn't charge me a penny,while he easily could, because it was a diagnosis appt. Professional service, very friendly and really cares to help people. Contracted this company through Home Depot for new HAVC system replacement. Went with a Lennox 4 zone, high efficiency system, spent over $20k. Installation went well aside from several delays due to Deluxe Air not having the correct techs available. Luis (the owner?) was very professional, promised everything would work perfectly. After the system was installed, he followed up a couple times and everything seemed fine. After noticing a crack in the display of one of the thermostats, he said he would get someone out right away to replace it. Waited, called, "sorry". Then he said he would send one out so I could replace it myself. Waited, waited, nothing. Tried contacting him several times (I have a string of text messages from him PROMISING he would get it all taken care of), nothing. Now I'm at the one year mark, trying to get that thermostat replaced as well as schedule the included annual maintenance and fix a poor cooling issue (under warranty)...nothing. This company has stopped answering my calls or returning my texts. They're great when you owe them final payment but apparently once that is done, they don't care about you anymore. Now I'm going through Home Depot to get some sort of resolution and the first thing they told me was Deluxe Air is no longer contracted by them (go figure). It's going through Home Depot management department so I don't have an end resolution for this review. My advice...AVOID Deluxe Air unless you like throwing money away. read more

Where to began. Ok! so last month my AC started making noise so I read the reviews and called this place. So guy came in and said there was glitch in the wires so he fixed it & charged us 186$ and even gave the guy tip since it was hot outside and later in the evening AC stopped working again, so called the guy again & he came and god knows what he did it worked for the night but stopped working again. So long story short. This happened couple times guy came to our house couple times didn't do anything and than one day he was like oh there's voltage problem but he won't go in the attic to fix it cause of some penguin poops in the attic which was all dried like we didn't know there was bird poop in the attic when we bought the house. Anyways he didn't do anything cause of that but I don't get it why wouldn't he told us at the first place like he charged us 186 and didn't do a shit. Today we called professional to clean our attic and not he only clean it he even called his friend to fixed the AC and he said it was just a minor problem. So these people were jus making excuses to charge us more. I guess...idk I don't like it why can't people be honest. Anyways...I'm glad my AC is finally fixed cause it's hot here. Your typical HVAC scammers that tell you - you need more things than you really need to fix a problem. Had them come out and tell me I needed a new compressor - the next company I called fixed the problem in 30 mjns with no new compressor?
