Tom returned my call within 1 hr and was super flexible with scheduling a fireplace inspection/cleaning appointment for the next day. I had previously called 6-7 different companies, but all of those companies either didn't return my call or didn't have appointments available until the following week. This inspection was for a rental property and we were in need of an inspection before the 1st (4 days away). Tom was reliable and on time to our scheduled appointment. At the end of the appointment, he had asked if the dryer vent had been serviced recently. I had not thought about the dryer vent, and he offered to take a look. Luckily he asked because it had not been cleaned in a while and was full of lint. Both services took a total of about an hour. I asked Tom if he had time to do an inspection on our own house which was approximately 15-20 minutes away from the rental property, and he said he did have some time before his next appointment. Once he got there, he said that both the dryer vent and fireplace did not need to be cleaned. 5 stars for his hard work and honesty!!! I had called my warranty company and they sent Vacaville appliance who said they couldn't fix the problem bc it was an air flow issue. Keep in mind, I already had two companies prior to this to come clean out our vents. Our check lint screen light was still blinking red after these two companies came out and my PGE bill remained high. Davis dryer vent came out to my house and fixed the problem immediately. He climbed onto the roof and noticed a big pile of dried up lint balls that had been clogging up the ducts preventing air flow to come out properly. See picture. He said the previous companies I hired should have cleaned out that part, and they obviously never did. I wish I had just gone with Davis Dryer vent before and I could have saved lots of money. The check lint screen is finally off. His square credit card reader was not working at the time but he gave me a discount for having to write a check. Very nice guy! And HONEST! Just like his card says. My only gripe is that I wish he brought shoe covers. We have very light carpet and it pains me to see professionals come unprepared without shoe covers. I called Davis Dryer Vent Cleaning and Tom got back to me the same day. Thank goodness. We believed our dryer vent was clogged and the damage that could cause. Tom came out that same day and it ended up being a pretty big job. Tom found the clog and had to go under the house and cut the clog out and repair the duct. Top notch. Tommy was professional and efficient in his work. The cap to the vent exhaust was for some reason riveted on to the housing (it should not have been) and he removed the rivets, cleaned the vent, and repaired the vent housing. He didn't charge me extra for the extra time it took to fix the vent housing and he didn't charge extra even though it cost him to purchase the parts to repair the vent housing. I was very impressed with the service received from this company. I am an out-of-town parent to a UCD student who rents a house. Had some dryer problems and called Davis Dryer Vent cleaning just in case it was actually the dryer vent and not the dryer. Tom was very responsive, explained what he would do, called me to discuss his findings, and cleaned the vent for a reasonable rate. Ultimately we will need a replacement dryer but at least with the vent cleaned, the current one is heating! Tom came the next day after our call and discovered our horizontal vent was filled with water and lint. Despite not having a vacuum for water he managed to remove about 6 gallons along with the lint, and afterwards took the time to help us figure out why we had water in our vent as he is very knowledgable about dryers.
