With the company I usually call on for duct service this specific service is an add-on fee to cleaning my entire house ducts which wasn't what I wanted as it isn't time to do the entire house yet. What a shame. I searched for a company to offer a price quote for this alacarte service. A number of them said the usual "we need to come out and blah blah blah" it's a dryer duct. What are we doing? I didn't like that. I found Air Doctor and read their Information. I contacted them. They replied quickly with detailed information supporting their price quote. See? Easy peasy. Roberto and Jordan were here to clean our dryer vent as well as the blower. Our vent/duct is 40 feet long since the clothes dryer is at the other end of the condo from the vent to the outside. We have lived here for 7 years and have never had it done before. So needless to say the vent was full of dust and would have been completely clogged had it not been for the blower (located in the hatch in the master closet). Roberto and Jordan were knowledgeable, cordial and professional. They covered their shoes, moved our dryer to update and fireproof the hose behind it, covered the clothes in the closet near the blower and put everything back in its place. They helped me understand what's necessary to do and what's not. They were careful in my home and clear communicators. They measured the filters that I had and then let me know that one filter didn't fit. Help me know from whom to order and how often to change the filters. This review is long overdue, but I wanted to add my five star review. We have used many dryer vent cleaning services over the years, but Air Doctor was absolutely the best. From the moment I called and made an appointment I had a feeling it was going to be a really good experience. The woman who answered the phone was so friendly as well as professional and set me up for an appointment a few days later. I asked her if the service workers could install a new cover screen I had purchased for the outside vent exhaust and she thought it wouldn't be any problem. As promised, the service guys called when they were on their way and gave me an ETA, which was right on time for our scheduled appointment. They were friendly, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. As it turns out, they couldn't install the dryer vent cover that I had purchased because of the paint and stucco surrounding the opening, but fortunately, they had one in their truck that worked just fine. It was such a relief to find a company in which I have such confidence which means I won't procrastinate like I usually do in scheduling the next cleaning. I first learned about them from our local community Facebook group and I can see why so many neighbors recommended them. Excellent customer service from both office staff and Brent, the technician that serviced my dryer. Brent did a terrific job cleaning out the air duct/vent that lead up to the roof. He even cleaned the dirty floor under the dryer and the washer when he was all done! So glad that I called to have my dryer serviced before I had any problems because my dryer vent hose had come apart from the back of the dryer and needed repair, which was included in the price. VERY professional, happy customer here. As a home owner, there are just maintenance chores that seem to get forgotten, or avoided due to lack of knowledge. We have owned our home for 12 years, and when my 35 year old Maytag started needing extra cycles to dry the clothes, I figured we needed to buy a new dryer. Then I was reminded that the vents could be clogged, and that it's a fire hazard. I had no clue who to call, but after searching found Air Doctor and called them. The lady was very nice and informative, and explained exactly what they would do, how much it would cost, and she made it easy. They were polite, spoke English, and came when they said they would. They tech, Jordan, was a very nice young man who was helpful and friendly. He showed me right away behind my dryer, the lint, dirt and mess, I saw how crunched up my vent was. He had to go on top of our roof to clean it out, where the vent was. After the work, he also checked my dryer and said it would be working much better now. Brett, our technician, called prior to arriving to see if I was available before the scheduled time which was appreciated. Brett and his associate were very thorough cleaning our dryer vent. They videotaped the amount of lint that came out of the vent and suggested we have it cleaned every year considering how much laundry we do and to prevent any dryer fires.
