Excellent customer service from both office staff and Brent, the technician that serviced my dryer. Brent did a terrific job cleaning out the air duct/vent that lead up to the roof. He even cleaned the dirty floor under the dryer and the washer when he was all done! So glad that I called to have my dryer serviced before I had any problems because my dryer vent hose had come apart from the back of the dryer and needed repair, which was included in the price. The scary part is that I did not even know that it was damaged! Boy! I am so glad that I called to have my dryer serviced before I had any problems with the dryer! Peace of mind! Priceless! With the company I usually call on for duct service this specific service is an add-on fee to cleaning my entire house ducts which wasn't what I wanted as it isn't time to do the entire house yet. This review is long overdue, but I wanted to add my five star review. We have used many dryer vent cleaning services over the years, but Air Doctor was absolutely the best. From the moment I called and made an appointment I had a feeling it was going to be a really good experience. The woman who answered the phone was so friendly as well as professional and set me up for an appointment a few days later. I asked her if the service workers could install a new cover screen I had purchased for the outside vent exhaust and she thought it wouldn't be any problem. As promised, the service guys called when they were on their way and gave me an ETA, which was right on time for our scheduled appointment. They were friendly, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. As it turns out, they couldn't install the dryer vent cover that I had purchased because of the paint and stucco surrounding the opening, but fortunately, they had one in their truck that worked just fine. It was such a relief to find a company in which I have such confidence which means I won't procrastinate like I usually do in scheduling the next cleaning. I first learned about them from our local community Facebook group and I can see why so many neighbors recommended them. Roberto and Jordan were here to clean our dryer vent as well as the blower. Our vent/duct is 40 feet long since the clothes dryer is at the other end of the condo from the vent to the outside. We have lived here for 7 years and have never had it done before. So needless to say the vent was full of dust and would have been completely clogged had it not been for the blower (located in the hatch in the master closet). Roberto and Jordan were knowledgeable, cordial and professional. They covered their shoes, moved our dryer to update and fireproof the hose behind it, covered the clothes in the closet near the blower and put everything back in its place. VERY professional, happy customer here. As a home owner, there are just maintenance chores that seem to get forgotten, or avoided due to lack of knowledge. We have owned our home for 12 years, and when my 35 year old Maytag started needing extra cycles to dry the clothes, I figured we needed to buy a new dryer. Tired of our home being so dusty despite vacuuming all the time, we called Air Doctor and we were not disappointed ! Their service was excellent. We started with our dryer vent and duct cleaning and the technician did an amazing job. We followed with a cleaning of all our HVAC ducts, and the two technicians were very meticulous and did a great job. As a bonus, they cleaned the ventilation ducts in our bathrooms for free. Brett, our technician, called prior to arriving to see if I was available before the scheduled time which was appreciated. Brett and his associate were very thorough cleaning our dryer vent. They videotaped the amount of lint that came out of the vent and suggested we have it cleaned every year considering how much laundry we do and to prevent any dryer fires. These guys are awesome and their top estimator, Jamie, is the OG of vents, ducts, return lines and furnace efficiency. We had a flooded crawlspace in the house we just bought and lots of damage to the vents down there that needed a total replacement given their 50+ year age, cracks and mold issues -- and in the master bedroom we barely had any heat while the front of the house was too warm...Other HVAC companies I interviewed offered standardized approaches to replacing the ducts and what options we had. Jamie went a step further and recommended a new return line on our furnace as the previous owner had replaced the furnace with a larger unit but had neglected to upsize the return line and filter accordingly, which is bad for furnace efficiency and durability. Air Doctor's also recommended upsizing some of our floor registers for better heating in the larger rooms in the house and dampers in each duct to help optimize airflow. Long story short, while not cheap, Air Doctors did all of this work for about the same price as HVAC companies who were only going to replace our crawlspace ducts. I would not hesitate to use them again and also want to shout out to their ground crew that took great care and professionalism to measure and construct our system in the 4 day job - thanks Roberto and Ryan! read more
