Their quote was the lowest we got, but we got what we paid for. We had them replace our HVAC a few years ago. They did not install the correct size return vent so our heater kept overheating. It would cycle on and off every few minutes and say it was heating when no air was moving. We literally had them come out 4 times before they found out what the issue one. The first 3 times they gaslit us and said that is was our Nest or a draft in an interior wall... I think they have only one good employee because the 4th guy to show up told us he liked to get paid for his overtime and would stick around until he got to the cause of the problem. Also when they finally "fixed" the return vent to a proper sized, they botched the install and had cracks in the ceiling and random screws sticking out in places. So they had to come back again to fix that mistake. read more

And as always, Jaguar proved they're still amazing, confirming my multiple previous 5 star experiences (which began when I first hired them in 2024). My latest call was due to someone on my renovation contractor's team doing something that caused both thermostats for my large multi-zone Mitsubishi City-Multi HVAC to go dark. Jaguar came by within 48 hours AND wisely ordered a circuit board for my system's branch box *just in case* it had been fried from a mistake with my renovation. Turns out they were correct - my framer or electrician had moved one electrical disconnect switch for one zone of my HVAC system without cutting power to it. That caused a surge which blew the branch box's circuit board. Jaguar moved around some schedules and they were able to get the new board installed today (Monday), only 1 business day after their estimated diagnosis from Friday, & also thanks to their foresight with the circuit board. I honestly can't imagine my life with Jaguar. It seems like such a funny thing to say about a company that installed and services my home's HVAC systems, but it's true. They've become like family, and my historic home is also deeply thankful for everything they've done & continue to do. read more

Each summer for the last few years I worried that our air conditioner would suddenly die. Each winter I worried that our gas furnace would blow up when I turned it on. I started researching HVAC companies a couple of years ago. Jaguar and a few others answered my questions promptly. In early October of this year, Cool Davis had an event showcasing homes that had converted their HVAC systems to heat pumps. We decided to do the same and wanted to do it soon to take advantage of the expiring tax credits. We had four companies come to our house to give us bids. Jesse from Jaguar gave the most thorough presentation and their bid was good. We asked when the system could be installed and he said as early as next week. One bid was cheaper for a similar system but we got very good vibes from Jesse. He was very responsive to our follow-up questions via email and text. A crew showed up on time the next week and got to work removing the old system and installing the new one. They took care to wear shoe covers, laid down protective floor coverings and were courteous. The crew was lead by Geordie. He took the time to answer all our questions and explain how everything worked. Willie and Omar got right to work too. They all came back the next day to finish the install and explained our new thermostats. They scheduled a return visit for a week later to install another part for the thermostats, installed straps for a new intake duct, repaired the drywall at the attic access, and added refrigerant. The time it was Geordie and Elijah doing the work. The next steps are the inspections, already scheduled for next week. We couldn't be happier with Jaguar and their employees. I'm thrilled we no longer have a gas furnace. We've yet to see if a heat pump system does save energy as touted. read more

When I called to schedule, the team was very knowledgeable, friendly, and able to get me an appointment around my schedule and within a week of the call! This really stood out to me as I had also called one of their competitors, who also has over 1000 reviews and nearly 5 stars, and their schedulers could not give me pricing beyond the twice a year tune up program AND could not get me scheduled until after the summer months were over (no joke). We needed an interior HVAC system reinstalled after flooding in our home. Mark came out and bid us $3800 to reinstall the syste. a few days later two installers canme out with very few tools and no metal brake to complete a custom plenum. They started using small pieces to patchwork quit the system back together instead of making a new plenum as quoted. when I ask them about the new plenum I was quoted they packed up and left without giving me any information and did not return, very unprofessional and I cannot recommend them. Update....1 The owners repspone below is a lie. we did have him come out and give us a quote for a new syste. But the quote was too high. We went with another company out of the Bay Area. When our house flooded due to a water heater overflowing. the HVAC was removed by the water restoration company. I called the original company but they had a 3 month wait. So I called jaguar because Mufassa had made a good impression when he quoted us a new system a year plus earlier. read more

I had a brand new Bosch hvac system installed a few years ago which is extremely efficient (Love it), but unfortunately it had occasional loud noises. During my annual maintenance checks, of course, the noise was not present and so the issue went unresolved. This year a different team, Montie and Marc, arrived and assessed the situation. Montie knew immediately what the problem was. He recalibrated the system and noticed the motor fan was noisier than normal. A few days later, they returned and replaced parts at no cost to me (great warranty). My system is now quiet is a mouse. Montie has over 30 years experience and is extremely knowledgeable and took time to explain everything. Both gentlemen were very polite and professional. AC stopped working amid this Sacramento heat wave and it was an instant crisis. Heard horror stories about places that will always recommend a new unit, so went with a place we used before - Jaguar and prayed for the best. Luckily we got someone super skilled and very professional. Dude's name is Aldrin. He diagnosed the problem right away, and let us know exactly what was going on with our unit which was fine. The problem was the breakers, wires and thermostat. He fixed it affordably and showed genuine interest in our home being safe from the heat. I will never call another heating/air place again. My Air conditioning unit set its final sail at the end of summer this year. In a market where there are companies that seemed everywhere I didn't know a lot leaping into buying a whole new system. What I appreciated about this company was their honest approach and straight forward discussion of the varying systems and improvements based on the specific needs I had. The great use of visuals with their brochures and booklets were incredibly helpful because it gave me a basis to do my own research after the quote was given. Out of the five or six other companies who quoted me they were the only one to offer the visuals, the name of the products specifically I wanted to look into, and a fairness in helping me get the max benefit out of the system I wanted. I was not stressed out as a human or from buying my home as I was stressed out by a business (your company) that did my house inspection prior to me moving in. Your company stated my AC & heater was good and here I am moved into my house with in a week or two and had my heater costing me hundreds of dollars running off something else and my AC not working. The problem with your answer to my post is "I wish I had taken my business elsewhere" We depended on your inspection of our home before agreeing to buy the home - when asking what changes fixes or money back we should always trust the inspections and know what to ask for before final purchase. Let me rephrase below as well. I personally owned at a very young age and was a loan officer used many companies... I'm not quick to throw out a 1 star but being rude made me not change that one star. I'd never just post. I personally tried driving to your office called etc. etc. run around ignored had to use our homeowners insurance when we could of had the unit replaced as a contingency. You did our pest reports etc. apart of them where you said our AC and Heater worked. Since then our stuff is fixed no thanks to your company and I found out I had some serious back issues thankfully worked on but be kind good will come back to you. It took me 10 months to post my review. I felt bad giving out a 1 star. If you had asked to talk and cared - I would have taken my review down. I have made sure to let my realtor know and will be sure to let the loan company know not to refer you to homebuyers. Update. Jaguar called about a month ago and asked if I wanted to install the motor they ordered for me, again. Since their responsiveness was so poor and it it was late in the summer, I decided to try and hobble along with my poorly functioning A/C rather than waste more money. That is, until it gave out completely a few days ago. This time, I contacted Cronus (see other review) and they were fantastic. They fixed it that day by putting Freon back into the system. It cost me $450 to put back in what Jaguar had taken out, but at least my AC is now fixed (by Cronus, not Jaguar, to be clear). So not only did Jaguar mess up my system by removing too much Freon so that it could barely work, they then tried randomly replacing parts to figure out what was wrong. I wonder how many more trips it would have taken before they decided to add the Freon back in that they took out to fix the problem they created in the first place. read more
