I ordered a check book, then realized that I messed up with my address. I was trying to call the company in less than 10 minutes after placing the order. The robocall rerouted me to the bank. I talked to the bank representative for about half an hour only to be informed that they cannot do anything. Then I tried to send a message using the online system. The system says it cannot send the message because some characters in my message are violating security, without saying which character is causing the problem. Tried to modify the text to know which character is the problem, giving up after a few trials. Called again, rerouted to the bank again. Get the direct call number from the bank representative. Called again, finally able to talk to the DELUXE representative, only to reroute me to the bank representative. Talked to the bank representative so that she can talk to DELUXE representative, then informed me that the check is already shipped and they cannot do anything about it. The bank representative said that they can void the entire check book and reprint it free of charge, but now someone has all my information, my address, phone number, and bank account. Do yourself a favor and skip using this company! Ordered a small business check book. The checkbook is missing the transferable white page that you can keep a copy of the check, no hard cover whatsoever, and the plastic cover provided was useless not suited for its intended use. Contacted their customer service about my experience asking if this was just an error on their side or standard practice. No one bothered to reply apparently. Let me down, big time! I went with Deluxe to create Xmas gifts for my customers. I paid in full up front and they said items would be delivered before Xmas. Then they come back and send me an additional invoice that I owe over $500 more because production was more expensive than they originally quoted me. I was upset, but I still needed gifts by Xmas so I paid them. Now I get an email saying that because of high demand, these can't be completed until January at the earliest. I thought production was done. That's what they implied, but apparently it hasn't started. I am sick of businesses that just lie to customers. If I treated my customers that way, I would expect them to leave me. So that's what I'm doing. They will not get another dollar from me or my company, and I hope that others read this and avoid getting stuck in the same predicament I'm in. Ordered a set of 900 business checks. They charged my bank account for the checks. Few weeks later received the checks. A few days later, I see another debit from Deluxe for the same amount. Turns out they printed another set of checks with the same checks numbers as I received that order in a few weeks. Tried to send it back, they kept returning my checks after I called their customer service about their error. Never got a refund. Shredded checks. We ordered 250 count "Deluxe High Security Laser Top Checks" for our business - something totaling $150.00USD+, but were NOT informed the checks did not include insurance in case of fraudulent activity. Seeing as the checks are allegedly high security, it is counter-intuitive for clients to pay more for a "secured" check with 0 liability protection attached. When an employee later altered / forged / cashed checks without company permission, Deluxe conveniently informed us that these same "High Security" laser checks did NOT in fact have insurance - something they call Easy Shield Plus. Rather, Easy Shield Plus is something you have to opt for when checking out as an *additional feature* to your order. They refused to be of further assistance in the matter, rather insisting we "pay for + reorder" new checks that DID have the Easy Shield Plus attached (for an additional fee.) 1) Incredibly poor customer service 2) Product is misleading for business owners who believe they are purchasing secured (and EXPENSIVE) business checks. read more

The entire experience of submitting an order for custom pens was a head ache. I ended up cancelling my order and requested a refund. They need to work on their website, too difficult to pay online through the account. It all started with a misprinting of the checks. We sent in a sample check, so they wouldn't mess it up. Well, muss it up they did. They sent us a completely different style where the information would be printed on the wrong side of the page. Upon sending back the checks for an exchange, they still couldn't seem to duplicate the style we wanted... so we settled for a similar one. All the while, we are receiving invoices for both sets of checks when all we ordered is the one. We pay on the first invoice received, which turns out to be a few dollars over what the checks actually cost. We call in to make sure that we're not billed for the checks we did not keep. You'd think that was the end of the story, but alas. A month later, we receive a late notice on the unpaid invoice because they had not applied the payment correctly. We call in again to get that fixed. The person assures me that she's corrected the problem on her side and that we won't need to speak to their accounting department. So we go about our business... and a few weeks later, another late notice threatening to send the account to collections arrives. This time, the only number on the notice is that of collections, so we pull out customer service's information to get to the bottom of this. It's several months later, and somewhere along the way, a late fee has been incurred on an invoice that isn't even really due. After a transfer to accounting and explaining to accounting that no, we don't owe the late fee because we'd paid on time, and are actually due a refund of a few dollars, we're instructed to call another department. In addition to the minor refund that we don't really care about at this point, we just want this to be over with. One final call to the accounts receivable department, and supposedly it's all settled. Oh, the joys of working in an office dealing with other offices... One star for the time wasted. While I'm not the decision maker in this office, if I had the option to choose another place to order business checks, I would. read more

This company is terrible. I ordered checks from them two months ago. I never received the checks, nor do I believe they ever shipped them. Even worse, they have no idea where these 'supposed checks' are. I have called customer service twice. Both times, they were of little help. The first time, they claimed to have mailed them and told me to check the post office. The post office here was super concerned and helpful--as this is a matter of my personal checking being compromised. They searched their back shelves and everything. They did not have them nor did they have any record of receiving them from Deluxe. The second time I called, customer service seemed apathetic and told me to call my bank. She didn't know where they were, nor did she at any time say, 'Hold on, let me check into this. She just stared at her computer screen and said, "Not my problem." She even got mad at me and raised her voice because I was questioning her on wether or not they shipped the checks. Wow. Bottom line: I had to cancel the checks and CLOSE MY ACCOUNT due to the fact that my routing and account number had been compromised. What a hassle! They are a scam! I paid for 2nd day shipping & they didn't ship it for a week then sent it ground. When I selected 2nd day shipping at the time of ordering, it upped my price by $50. Today I called Deluxe & they said they didn't charge me for over night shipping but the $50 was for ground shipping!! I ship all of the time & it doesn't cost $50 to send a small light weight package ground!!! The top of the invoice it shows 2nd day shipping! My UPS package was sent ground!! I have had the worst experience with Deluxe. I have been trying to order checks for almost a month. This is the 4th time I have had to call because they do not give the proper address to UPS to deliver and since they dont allow you to call driver and "modify" order with correct address, have to start the whole process over from beginning. At this point I believe the last *3* times I called because checks were not delivered, the Deluxe employee simply chose not to put in the correct address. I have ordered business forms, self inking stamps, order books, checks, you name it. I have had problems with non- tracking and loss of products. And while they do provide replacements, I still had to pay for shipping. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS COMPANY MAKES MONEY FROM YOU ON SHIPPING. Their shipping costs is ridiculous. For a big company you'd think that shipping would be free. Or how about one size box Priority Mail, you'd think they would send their "economically priced" products to help you save money. My most recent order I was hoping to end this shipping nightmare and have them ship their product on my corporate UPS or Fedex account. They said they ONLY ship it by their own corporate account. Their cost for a seven day UPS ground would cost me $65, two day air will cost me $90 and Next Day air $125. Now let me tell you the product I am buying with their discounts will be $75. Now add $65 for UPS Ground. Sounds fishy doesn't it? Just FYI, my UPS corporate account would be $50 for overnight service (versus $125 for their corporate account). I went to another company and found the sae item for $40 and so I doubled my order that came out to $70 then they would ship it Priority Mail which just cost me $15 and I got it three days later. My total price $85 for TWICE the amount. If you were suckered into buying from this chicken {insert brown word here} outfit you would have paid $155 and for half the quantity if I didn't look elsewhere. After months trying to find someone to make me a simple company logo, I stumbled on "Deluxe" while on Facebook. Figured what the heck....... Everything about my experience with Deluxe Marketing Suite was 5 star. We communicated over the phone and through email. They had a website that I could check the progress of my order. They made three changes I asked for without hesitation (all for the one price I paid). When it was all said and done, I had 6 logo's to choose from. They took a picture of me and outlined it for the simple logo I desired - and now it's on all of my social media sites (and soon to be on my uniforms). You can see from my profile pic (my vehicle wrap) I'm a "one of a kind" in the trade I perform. I did not want a simple photo shopped logo, I wanted something (like everything else I do) that shows I am different from my competition. If you're looking for the $5 logo design, good luck with that. A real small business pays a fair price for something that will promote its businesses level of professionalism. This (awesome) logo will be another tool that separates me from my competition - and will keep me mired in work! I was so happy to find a company to make these forms, but I don't even have a proof of my order yet and I am already very disappointed. A proof was promised in 24-48 hours. I have had multiple phone conversations and emails asking me to approve the forms, but I have no proof. It has been seven days. Please don't tell people things that aren't true. It isn't necessary. By now I could have designed these myself 50 different ways on my computer and printed. As a customer when you go for online services there are already a lot of doubts haunting you, and logo design services like deluxe.com just work to further reinforce them. When I began with my branding process, the most important factor which I had to look into was getting my logo designed. And it was then when I stumbled upon deluxe.com. They promised me an innovative and contemporary logo design which would become the face of my company for years to come. After the initial payment had been done, the agent failed to pick up my calls and never replied to my messages regarding the details I had missed to mention earlier on. After a few attempts to get hold of him I gave up and hoped they had received my messages and would successfully incorporate the details in my logo design. The deadline came and went and there was no response or follow back from the representative at deluxe.com. I began to panic as the day on which my website was supposed to launch came closer. I had no logo to represent my brand. No brand identity and the agent still refusing to reply to countless calls and messages. Two days before the launch I finally received a call from the agent, but this time the number being used was different. He gave me all kinds of excuses which made no sense to me whatsoever. I told him I had no time for his excuses and demanded they handover the logo to me on the spot. The file which I received was extremely mediocre. It looked as if an amateur had designed my logo. 1 Star is too high for Deluxe. They lost my check order somewhere. They don't have tracking numbers for their personal check orders, so I can't track down the lost order of 1 box of personal checks, 120 checks. I reordered. They failed to notify me via email of the order confirmation that was promised. They failed to notify me that US Bank needed to FAX them approval, so my reorder was also held up, and I didn't know-I had to contact THEM!? They failed to release the order within their own policy of 48 hours if the US Bank didn't respond. (Wednesday at 4 PM was the reorder; it was Monday at 10 AM when I had to call them again for a status because they failed to notify me of anything to do with the order). They played the blame game when I spoke with someone. "...It was the other department...blah blah blah." It was on her who I spoke with to release the order after 48 hours, and she wouldn't own it, even though I told her to be honest. Never again. No more Deluxe. It's now almost 1 month since I ordered the checks. This will be my last order. NO tracking on a box of checks, so I have 120 checks out there, which I'll now have to cancel with US Bank so some jerk doesn't try to go buck wild with. Buyer beware of Deluxe. After using Deluxe for many years, they will no longer receive my business due to ridiculously high pricing. What their website refers to as "boxes" (when ordering from the site) are actually inserts of 50 checks in a book, the cheapest being about $26 dollars for only 50 with no duplicates. With less pricey options, they have lost their minds. They were nice about helping when a mistake was made in the order but it was an honest mistake. Unless you read and study their site carefully, their swankiest style is front and center, and I am sure this sales tactic works like a charm, with the idea that many people will just sucker into it, thinking it's their own fault for ordering wrong.
