Signed up for the Gold logo package. I didn't need anything fancy and I didn't get anything any good either. All I got where designs that looked like newbies from the 80's designed. I ended up designing my own logo and couldn't get a refund so I figured I would get the business cards from them. At least I would get something out of what I spent. Well I just got my business cards today and they are going in the garbage. This company is pure crap. The business card quality is crap. It's so hard to read them. The email signature that they sent me was such low quality I could barely make anything out, I asked for higher quality files and got not as bad but still crap quality. I don't understand why everything is such low quality. If you want a real logo, either pay for an experienced graphic designer or go to you local grade school and ask a random kid to do it for you. Whatever you do, don't hire these 80's newbies if you want anything good. read more

Do not order their e-checks, banks will not accept them, therefore people will not accept them. I made the mistake of ordering their e-checks at the advice of my bank. No other bank wants to accept them because they don't have normal security features of normal checks (such as magnetic ink). Banks don't like them because fraud is easy if people simply copy the check with a photo copier because there are no security features. I have sent them to numerous people and businesses over the last year as I tried to use them, and nearly every company/business etc rejected them. Has anyone else experienced this situation??? My employer has purchased DELUXE double sales pads for probably over 40 years?! This time around they keep sending threatening emails saying we have not paid??!! We had to give our business Credit Card At Time of Purchase. I even Spoke with a 1-800-443-6341 employee named "Jason" on 11/16/18 and he told me it was PAID. Yet, the accounting department keeps sending emails stating unpaid. I am asking my boss to check her statement. Yet, I am wondering whether there is any fraud going on at this company? Worst experience ever. Needed to reorder checks (3rd time) and placed order. System accepted and all looked good. A few days later I'm contacted because my credit card on file had expired. Okay, but really? You don't check this during an order? Updated card on profile, but no that doesn't work because it now isn't linked to the order! Had a rep say they'd take care of it, but also had emailed my frustrations with "Customer Accounting Team". Several unhelpful emails later and they cancelled the order completely (doesn't even show this in the account/order history) without my knowledge and sent a rather unprofessional email. This is my first negative review but I thought I'd write it because I appreciate it when others write them and I want Yelpers to avoid this check printing service. Now I wish I'd thought to look on Yelp before I ordered from them. When you're ordering one box you assume that you're getting more than one book (otherwise why would they call it a box); usually a box is four books of checks. That assumption would be wrong! You are getting ONE book! With tax and shipping, one book of 25 checks costs $17! In addition, I received another book of checks with my order, but they were duplicate numbered checks!! I sent an email and called to sort this out, because I thought I was shorted two books of checks, and never heard back. So beware, when it says one box, you are ordering something they call a MINI-PAK, which is really only one BOOK of 25 checks. Better yet, don't waste your time or money, just go somewhere else. read more

I really wish I would have read these reviews before I paid to have a new logo made. I understand there are struggles and companies are having a hard time transitioning to a work from home environment due to Covid 19 but for it to take 6 weeks to get a logo made with very little communication is ridiculous. And to say the least the logo looks horrible and I will now need to pay someone else to make a new one. If you are considering using Deluxe for Business for your company's web design or web hosting, I would not recommend them based on my horrible experiences. They have been hosting my company web site since 2014, and my monthly fee is supposed to include maintenance and technical support. It has been about 2 months since the payment processing stopped working on my web site so I can't process any orders. After opening numerous tickets to report the problem (they kept closing the tickets without resolving the problem) they finally told me that it will never work because their software is outdated because my site is too old and the tech I was talking to told me they would have to shut down their entire server to update the software and they were simply not going to do that just to please me. He told me it will never work and they are simply not going to fix it for me right after he yelled at me to stop opening support tickets (because each time they closed the ticket without fixing the problem I opened a new one). After spending thousands of dollars for this web site, they keep telling me it is too old and if I am willing to pay them to develop a new one, then they can fix it. I still have a hard time accepting that after being their customer for over 6 years, that they simply turned their back on me. I have tried reaching out to several people at the company and I either get no response or they tell me there is nothing they can do to fix it. My only solution now is to find another company to take it over. read more

They will ship checks without any way to track them. My checks were never delivered and they were unable to tell me where they were. After several calls to their customer service line and no help, I now need to cancel my bank account and get a new one to avoid fraud from potentially stolen checks. We are...will were...a new small business looking for logo design services. After speaking to their super friendly sales staff (Amy) we negotiated a package that was $395. Someone from a "design team" contacted me and we spoke about our needs. We were super excited. The design process began and within a few days we had 6-8 logo designs to chose from to begin revisions.....we hated all of them. All of them! They were incredibly basic and in about 5 minutes I made a nicer looking logo on their self design site just to prove to my wife how basic the logos were. We were rather disappointed. Nevertheless we picked one thinking that we could simply ask for revisions (since they were unlimited) and in the end we would have the logo that we were envisioning! This is where it really started to feel like a one sided conversation. You pick your "favorite" revision, answer a handful of redundant questions about what you like and don't like about it. A day or two later a slightly tweaked version appears. After a few weeks of this we weren't making progress; still a very very basic logo design. I reached out to the sales girl (Amy) and expressed our disappointment. She was again very nice and had the design team reach out to me again and they gave it a go again; same results. At this point our business is getting very close to launch time and our marketing materials, website, etc are at the stage where they needed completion for printing, embroidery, etc. We were essentially cornered into hiring someone different to do our design work. We chose a competitor that turned out to be amazing! They were unfortunately everything that Deluxe wasn't. We now have a logo that we're in love with! In the interest of being good business partners I reached out to Deluxe again and explained our disappointment and explained that we had essentially been forced to go elsewhere for our logo design due to timing and how long their process takes. They had someone "higher up" contact me and offer to start at square one etc etc. I explained again that our design need had been satisfied elsewhere and they weren't going to be able to rectify the situation by providing logo design services. I knew that they policy had a "no refunds" clause but I figured that, hey, maybe we can come to some sort of mutually beneficial resolution. I'm aware that they spent some time in "design" and their time certainly has value to it. I didn't expect to receive a full refund. Here's where our disappointment turned to "I'll never do business with them and I'm going out of my way to let others know my experience". I believe that greedy business is bad business and by not doing the right thing in business will cost you money in the long run. After a brief email exchange reminding the person they'd sent to resolve the situation it was made clear that their offer to "start over" was unfortunately too late. Here's where they sealed the deal. The next email I received was the "Dear John" letter that spelled out their policies and procedures, the timelines on our efforts to revise the logo, and how they don't give refunds, etc etc etc.....a bunch of corporate mumble jumble. In the end they offered a credit, equal to 1/4 of the amount we paid, to use on their services in the future. I mean if you really think that through the irony is hard to get past. Honestly, had they offered even half our money back I would have happily parted ways (we can't all get along all of the time) and been strangely satisfied with our overall experience. In the end we would have a logo that we love and we wouldn't have spent much more that our original budget spread between the two companies. In the end they chose the greedy route and here I am spending quality time writing negative reviews. It wasn't, and isn't, about the money. Money is just money. It's about doing business the right way and about doing the right thing. They offer a ton of services that we would have certainly considered for our business. We will without question go out of our way to spend our money for those services elsewhere. So, that's our Deluxe experience. Perhaps yours will be more pleasant. read more

The final product was terrible. We went with a logo design with 4 choices. The first and 2nd (final)revisions did not follow our directions. We learned that a new artist would come in to each stage so the continuity was lacking. The logos were poor. We just accepted the name font although we certainly could have done that ourselves. I ordered checks for $26 and paid $25 for the 3-4 day shipping on 9/6. After 5 days I got an email saying they were being shipped and I will received them around 9/17... 11 days later. I called and customer service wouldn't do anything about it. I wanted to cancel and they said they can't. They didn't care that is was their error and didn't care to fix the issue. They also said that when the mailman brings it to me to refuse delivery. So I should wait everyday for the mailman in case he has them, then refuse the delivery? This is ridiculous! read more

Said I'd get checks in 7 days. 10 days later they said 7-14 days. 14 days from my order they said it was up to 14 days after the checks shipped. 14 days after my checks shipped they said it must have been lost in the mail. I cancelled my order and bought from another printer. I expect the entire process to take one month from my order with Deluxe to my receipt of checks from the other printer. I recently formed a new LLC and I suddenly started receiving promotional mailings from this company. It's clear they harvested my information from public business listings, as I haven't started operations yet. It's illegal to send email spam or to make telemarketing calls without offering a way to be removed from the list. I don't see why this isn't true of junk mail. I will not do business with a company that harasses me via the mail. read more

We had two websites done with them. Worst experience ever! Getting ready to completely re-do one of them with someone else after trying for two years to work with all of their mistakes. They took over a year to complete one site and over 7 months to complete the other when they stated both would be 3 months. Terrible working back end processes-broken codes-terrible communication. You name it....all was bad. Had to hire another company to fix even basic things on our shopping cart website-photos not aligned, not working with mobile devices etc etc....i dont know who they are hiring to actually do the work since the head lead on our projects kept having to go to outside help and then those companies would try to get me to work with them after the fact....if I can just reach at least one small business to warn them not to waste their money then this review is worth my time. read more

I've owned my own construction business for 30 years and have never done business w such an awful company. I purchased some online advertising from them b/c i was unsatisfied w Service Magic. Deluxe Corporation was 10x worse. The salesman straight up lied to me therefore I asked for a refund. It took FIVE months to get this deserved refund. Thru that 5 month period, I spoke w/ at least 4 different people and not one time did any of those 4 people keep their word about anything they promised. Not once...whether it was, "I'll call you tomorrow" or "We will send you a check" (heard that one multiple times). Even the person I spoke with who truly "acted" like she cared couldn't even keep her word. Deceptive up selling. They lost me as a customer. I am writing this for your benefit. I thought it would be simple to reorder checks from the reorder form. The lady kept me on the phone for 46 minutes with endless deceptive upgrading, suggesting large quantities, suggesting other products I repeatedly said I don't want. Lady didn't take no for an answer. I had to repeat NO at least 3 times. The sales lady made out like my old checks could only be purchased with a security upgrade, at triple the price. A lie. I found out at end of phone call my original checks are available at 1/3 of the suggested upgraded checks. The sales lady kept changing prices higher, bait and switch, up selling and endless offering of unwanted items. After 46 minutes of this I wised up and did not order. Very greedy company. Kept putting me on hold ... Quoted over $300 for 500 upgraded checks. Bought nice QuickBooks checks on Amazon for $24!!! Look for your materials elsewhere. read more

Clicked thru and was unable to process it online, so I called the number on the website. A customer service representative helped me. Was quoted $87.00 plus shipping. $87.00! Great. Just tried buying 2500 business checks. I've been buying for different companies and from a company I think they acquired. Just spent over half an hour trying to order online. Had to call. Got transferred. A person never answered - just kept playing ads. Tried to contact them via email - didn't want to fill out their form. Tried chat. Asked too many questions before I could be connected. In prior dealings with them or a predecessor company, there were no problems. Instead, I'm emailing a copy of a current check to a local printer to get the checks from them. I don't care if it's an extra $100.00 - I don't need the aggravation and poor service. read more

I had synovus place a check order through their system on the 1st. I asked if I could track them I was told I couldn't. After a week of waiting for these checks to appear I called deluxe. I was told my checks were expected by the 18th, and if I did not have them by then to call back. I called on the 18th and was told to give it a day or two. I gave it two weeks and still nothing. Again I called and requested a refund I was told it was being submitted. Here it is ten days later andnothing. I called again and was told to give it until monday.. this is absolutely ridiculous! There is nothing that could cause this much time to pass. I will never recommend this company nor use this company again! read more

Would not use these guys again their customer service is terrible. Waited on the line for over 20 mins to talk to someone about how they managed to screw up my checks. They didn't put the right address on the checks causing UPS to send them back to Deluxe. First tried web chat and was referred to a toll free line after spending 10 mins with the rep. Then I called the number and spent 5 mins explaining to the rep what had happened. The rep then transferred me to their customer service department. I thought that's what I called. We just need to fix the address and yet they didn't even bother to try to help me. Instead they place me on hold. Something needs to change if no one at the company can help me. I've decided to cancel my order with them and get some other company that cares to take on my business. read more

If you're tech savvy GO ELSEWHERE! Needs new customer interface on website. You can't reset the password without a 6-10 digit customer number, mine are all 10+ digits and no one can reset it or email to reset. You also can't create a new account with an email address that was previously used without the account password, which you can't reset... see where this is headed? You also can't reach the technical help desk at all. Customer service... you can tell its a call center and they're not supposed to be on the phone for long. The 3 people I called today tried to get off asap and were reluctant to help me in the slightest. They are not very knowledgeable and had to reach out to their help desk in order to read me all of our prior customer numbers, after verifying my credentials. If you have multiple locations and a corporate office apparently you need a different department entirely, with a different ordering website, which was not provided... I have to await a phone call to set it up. I have yet to order... read more

I am convinced that the 5-star reviewers were either paid for their review or have no conception of the value of money or good customer service...or business ethics. DELUXE CHECKS TOO EXPENSIVE! $50 for shipping?? Ridiculous! I even spoke to a sales rep to make sure I saw it correctly, who was surprised as well but confirmed it. And they do not honor coupons! Dealt with NEBS for years before Deluxe bought them out without a single problem. Nothing but problems with Deluxe since. A perfect example of relying too much on on technology on not enough on customer service. Sent us to collections on a bill without contacting us - simple matter of not receiving an invoice. Paid it. Account wasn't cleared. Sent cancelled check. Had info for six weeks and still didn't clear our account. They outsource that department. 8 months and countless calls later, our account was still blocked. It took a letter to the CFO - (who to their credit did get back to us). Gave them the benefit of the doubt. The checks I ordered last week came without check numbers so they had to run another set. We're done. read more
