It took 5 and a half months for my car's bumper to be refixed. That was the one star deducted. It was very, very annoying to wait that long for what is a minor issue. I understand that they have a lot of business, but for a toyota's cosmetic piece, it should not have taken that long to repair. With that said, The people, especially those at the front desk, are where and why DeLuz has the 4 stars from me. They were always kind, understanding, and patient with me. They changed the window regulator on wife's car and said they had to remove the sheet metal and do a bunch of stuff to do it and charged me 300.00 A month ago the other side went out and I took it to a shop in kona and they charged me 125.00 and showed me how they did it. We had a fender bender and worked through our insurance. The insurance company made an onsite estimate of the damage and made a line by line report. We took it to J Deluz Autobody and they reviewed and confirmed the estimate. They ordered the parts and asked us to bring the car back in a week to get repaired. Repairs were done in 5 days as promised and priced. All new parts were used, custom painting to match. They even washed the car. Excellent service. Painless. (tip: work through insurance). They also offer a rental car service through Hertz where they even deliver a car to the repair shop so you don't have to go to Kona or Hilo to pick up the car. I took my truck to J Deluz Autobody to have some body work done that was covered by my insurance company. I talked to Adam and the owner, Jason and was assured that they would do a thorough, quality job. My truck sat at the shop for almost 3 weeks without being worked on. My insurance company would only pay for a rental car for 30 days, so I called to inquire about the progress. They rushed to get the work completed in time, but cut corners to do so. When I got my truck back it was filthy inside and out.Some areas on the paint job had a white film, and they painted right over some nicks and scratches rather than resurfacing it first. Some things were not put back correctly- the water hose on the windshield washer wasn't reconnected, the rubber around the front windshield was overstretched so the windshield doesn't fit well, and when the tailgate was down it would touch the bumper. Adam replied it was because I put a cheap bumper on the truck. It was only when I got my bed liner redone that I found out there were metal bushings that were not put back that completely fixed the problem. They didn't replace the tint across the top of the front windshield but said they would reimburse me when I got it done. I presented receipts for the metal bushings and the tint for reimbursement. Adam told me he would have to check with the owner before he could pay me back for those items. After not receiving a call, I stopped in 2 weeks later. Adam's words were "If I give you this money would you stop bothering us and leave us alone?" In addition, I was not fully reimbursed what it cost me to fix the problems they had left me with. read more
