First of all, I want to say that I am an acrylic nail newbie. I've gotten normal, gel and dip…read moremanicures in the past, but recently wanted to try acrylic. 3 months ago, I got my first full set here and today, I got my 3rd fill done. The owner/male technician is really a master at his craft. He is fast and sure with his movements. I've seen photos of the artwork he can do, but I didn't ask for anything fancy (just nude/neutral color) so that the manicure can last as long as possible without becoming unsightly. Today, I was at 4.5 weeks from my last fill, and honestly, if I didn't stare too closely, it still looked good before the fill! I feel like that's evidence of a really good technician! So, of all the different types of manicures one can choose from, acrylic (when done by a skilled and experienced tech) seems to last the longest. The salon was quiet and there were 2 other clients in the space during my visit. They prefer appointments, but will sometimes take walk-ins. The owner has always been pleasant and professional at each of my appointments. I'm so glad to have discovered acrylic here, at this salon!

I was in a pinch and needed a manicure pedicure last minute for an event and she got in me in the next day. Very friendly from the start. I love a nail artist who can make conversation and just walk you through why he/she does something. She was very confident in the nail artistry I requested and she came through brilliantly. I specifically asked for a rounded almond shape. Instead, my nails were filed into a very sharp, pointed almond, and in the process several of the sidewalls of my natural nails were filed down significantly. When I pointed out that this was not the shape I asked for, I was told that "next time" I should ask for oval. The issue was not simply that I changed my mind about the shape. I explained what I wanted before the service, and my natural nails were filed in a way that cannot simply be put back. What made the experience even more frustrating was the response afterward. I asked to speak with the manager, but the manager would not come out to speak with me and instead communicated through the person at the front desk that they simply would not charge me for the service. I appreciate that I wasn't charged, but considering the condition my nails were left in, I would not have expected to pay for the service in the first place. No one offered to actually fix or repair what had been done. I left with unevenly shaped nails, visibly compromised sidewalls, and now have to go somewhere else and pay another nail technician to figure out how to safely correct them without causing further damage to my natural nails. Mistakes happen, and I would have been much more understanding if someone had acknowledged what happened and genuinely tried to make it right. Instead, I was essentially told I asked for the wrong shape and sent on my way. For a salon service involving builder gel on natural nails, I expected considerably more care and professionalism. I didn't get Nancy, the other lady did a good job on my nails but I was disappointed. They offered me a pedicure too and I decided to do it. The older lady who did it kept trying to get me to go for upgrades but I just wanted a basic pedicure. She also didn't paint the entire toe nail, not my favorite experience. But both look pretty good so I'm not mad. They were also very quick, which I appreciate.

When he's finished cutting he takes the time to make sure everything sits pretty so you don't have to fight with it later. I appreciate that he'll go with what you want but always give you his professional opinion in the nicest way. Pixie cuts are not the easiest but he did such a great job, very talented. Will def return. Oh and he's a great conversationalist. :) I've also gotten a pedicure with Ileana who is super sweet and did such a great job. It's a little more than I'm used to paying but I can honestly say that it is by far the LONGEST LASTING pedi I've ever had. The price is really worth it.

My nail artist was Marissa. She did a fantastic job on my tips and toes. She was very laid back and sweet. She was thorough and although she had acrylic claw-like nails, she had a nice touch with the mini massage on the feet and hands and didn't scratch me! I feel like this always happens when getting massaged at other nail salons even when the person has short nails; when the massage begins, they dig their nails into the tender bottom of my foot - not Marissa! She really did a fantastic job, my nails are perfect and my gel looks great and I left feeling pretty, oh so pretty! Thank you :)
