I recently returned from two weeks of business travel and wasn't feeling well. I went to the medical building in East Hampton, hoping to find a 24-hour medi-center. At 5:30 PM on a Friday night, I walked into a random doctor's office and asked the receptionist if there was anyone available to see me. Although the office was set to close at 6:00 PM, one of the doctors overheard my situation and graciously agreed to help. After filling out some standard paperwork, I was promptly placed in a room. Dr. Dempsey came in shortly after and asked detailed, thoughtful questions about my symptoms. His nurse assisted him, and within minutes, they diagnosed me with the flu. Dr. Dempsey's team even called White's Pharmacy in East Hampton to ensure my prescription could be filled right away. Quick, knowledgeable service from a caring doctor is rare these days, and Dr. Dempsey exceeded all expectations. FRONT DESK HORRORS I am an existing patient at this practice and although the MD and NP provide excellent care, my complaint is with the mistreatment I receive from the front desk. I always say the front desk is a reflection of the practice, if receptionist is unable to be empathic and pleasant with sick patient they shouldn't be working with patients. Receptionist: Upon arrival I was informed by the receptionist that I would be seen within an hr after 30mins pass another patient arrives, after an intense conversation between them two and a few inside jokes she tells the patient to come into the exam room! I ask the receptionist why was the person seen before me, I was told because "it was a fast appointment" what does that mean? at that moment I felt that my concerns and time wasn't taken into consideration as she brushed me off and abruptly cut me off in the middle of a sentence I had to keep repeating to myself that my purpose of being there was To receive some medical attention. 3 HOURS PASSED and I was finally seen. No patient deserves to be treated this way it is distasteful and unpleasant. read more

Office lost my ekg and I was almost unable to get an important surgery done. They also lost my bloodwork and read my bloodwork to me from three years prior telling me I most likely have kidney stones- all in the same week. Doctor kolsin is the opposite of what you would look for in a healthcare provider he's incompetent overweight and has body odor. I wouldn't recommend this office for anything. They are disorganized and dysfunctional and don't take responsibility when they mess up the staff is smug and acts like they did nothing wrong. Very unapologetic and unprofessional. read more

Avoid at all costs. Totally unprofessional. Dempsey staffs his office with medical students who do the brunt of the patient interfacing. The one doctor I saw looked like she rolled out of bed, dressed in sweats, hair falling out of her ponytail, wrinkled white coat. She was MIA for my Zoom followup, and I was called three hours after her no-show to make another appointment. We are finding another PCP. read more
