Cool rustic vibe with lots of funny decor. Service was spot! Waitress I had a Moscow mule for $5.75. Unreal prices but they are mostly known for their craft beers. My friend and I shared 2 plates. Both meals came with jambalaya with a medium heat. Rice, red beans, and sausage. First meal was Chislic which is fried sirloin with regular cole slaw. Chislic is local traditional bar food. Seasoned well but would be better served with a horseradish sauce not ranch. The second meal was weinersnitchel and spalzel with red cabbage. I highly recommend both dishes!

They got Harp so at least I got that going for me!

Very nice spot hidden in the downtowns of Fargo. Now they got Harp beer my new favorite beer. The pizza is badass! And the bartenders are nice and hospitable and not just with the locals but also with the out-of-towners like myself. Give this place a chance, a Monday night was lively. And I was told that as the week progresses, it just get better and better.

The bartender was the rudest person I've ever had the displeasure over ever encountering. He was rude and had daddy issues.

Dempsey's is the best bar in Fargo and they get the best music. Staff is A+, sliders are great and the bingo host is hilarious.

Best bar I went to in Fargo. The bartender was great, the drinks were cheap, and the music was good. I would definitely go back there again.

We were there in time for the last hour of Happy Hour on a Thursday - not crowded at all - full, but not wall to wall.

Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. We started with the crab-stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, but when they arrived, the centers were still cold. My prime rib came out barely room temperature, and my wife's was ice cold. Her broiled shrimp tasted more like cocktail shrimp that had been sitting on ice, while my deep-fried shrimp were cold, soggy and had a strong old-fryer-oil taste. Even the au jus for the prime rib arrived cold to the touch in the stainless cup, and the butter for my wife's shrimp was already congealing again. Overall, the food quality was absolutely terrible - some of the worst food we've been served at a restaurant in a long time. I do want to give credit where it's due: our server was wonderful. She was kind, attentive, and very understanding of the situation. She offered to comp the meal and even brought us boxes. We boxed up the prime rib with the intention of reheating it at home just to salvage something from the night. However, when the bill arrived, only about 30% was taken off and this was because they gave us a box and we weren't sending it back to have it remade after an hour and a half wait for our food On a $140 bill, that amounted to roughly $34 off - leaving us paying for cold, undercooked food that we had to take home and fix ourselves. We genuinely wanted to support a local business, especially on New Year's Eve, but this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience.

I've never been to Ireland, so I can't exactly confirm that LOL. Most of the food was good, with one exception, the beef stew. It tasted like what I imagine dog food would taste like, bland and no flavor! The burgers, on the other hand, were delicious! The beef tasted incredibly fresh, like it came from locally raised cattle. If you're dining here, pass on the stew and go straight for the burger.

At the Blarney Stone, located within the historic bones of the Hotel Donaldson, the stage is set for a masterclass in the traditional Irish pub experience. It is a space that feels curated rather than accidental--a sanctuary of dark leathers and flickering light that promises an escape from the biting North Dakota wind. The Canvas The location is undeniable. Sitting at the corner of Broadway and 1st Avenue, it occupies the literal and figurative heart of downtown Fargo. Inside, the architecture does the heavy lifting: the high ceilings and segmented seating areas offer a sense of intimacy that is rare in the era of open-concept dining. It is a "big room" that manages to feel like a collection of private snugs, perfectly suited for a long afternoon of market watching through the street-side windows. The Draught and the Plate The selection here is the establishment's strongest suit. With over 30 beers on tap, the menu moves fluidly from the essential Guinness pour to local craft favorites. For those looking for something more fortifying, the whiskey and Scotch collection is arguably the most respectable in the region. * The Fare: The menu is a dependable lineup of "pub grub" with a Celtic leaning. The Irish Nachos--waffle fries topped with a signature "Dublin Dip"--are a crowd favorite, and the Shepherd's Pie offers the kind of starchy, savory warmth one craves in this latitude. The food is decent, hitting the expected marks of a high-end tavern without necessarily aiming for culinary reinvention. The Human Element However, a pub is more than the sum of its architecture and its inventory; it is a living organism fueled by its staff. While the "bones" of the Blarney Stone are magnificent, the soul of the experience currently rests on the shoulders of the team. In a space this grand, the atmosphere requires a certain intentionality from the staff to bridge the gap between "a place to sit" and "a place to be." There are moments when the energy in the room feels dormant, waiting for a spark of hospitality to fully activate the historic surroundings. The difference between a good night and an unforgettable one here often comes down to the engagement of the crew--the small gestures of "pub culture" that make a guest feel like a regular before they've finished their first pint. The Verdict The Blarney Stone has everything it needs to be the definitive crown jewel of Fargo's pub scene: a premier location, a stellar drink list, and a gorgeous interior. It is currently a very good spot that is only a few degrees of "team-driven energy" away from being truly legendary. If the atmosphere can be brought to the level of the architecture, it will be hard to beat.

The British food menu is still being worked on, so some items weren't available yet but we did try was a wonderful little corn bite with a nice Guinness gravy. Christina, our server, had a great sense of dry humor I complimented the beers on tap and the whole atmosphere in the restaurant. Lots of TVs for people to watch the various different games. We were the last ones there on a Wednesday night, but they still pretty happily served us and were there even after we left.
