I wish I could give zero stars right now and considering how rude the staff was in addressing the issue that I had with the food I received, and the fact that there was some black hair of some kind on my food. The waitress actually had the audacity to charge me for the two beers that my husband and I had with only removing the food from our order. In town from Oklahoma and wanted to try something different. I ended up in the Würst Bier Hall. The German-themed bar is great. The Dunkel and original bratwurst was on point. Got a side of Knoephla soup (highly recommended). Also order the bacon flight as an appetizer, and you will not be disappointed. Ate at the bar because that's what I like to do. Both locations serve the same great food. Somewhat Americanized but still sticks close to its German roots. The unique sausages are always delicious. I highly recommend the spaetzle Mac and cheese with a chicken apple sausage. Add a beer from the wide selection on tap. Pröst! read more

Went to the restaurant because I had been a few times before for an awesome happy hour, had to spend 15 on an uber each way to find out the location was sold and happy hour was no longer available on ALMOST EVERYTHING NOW....got a beer and the pretzels. Beer was average and the pretzels were good but not $12 good...all in all spent around $60 after tips for a beer and a pretzel because I'm not a local. Next time will go to Blarneys were the beers are bigger and an entree is the price of a pretzel!!! read more

We came here specifically so I could order the giant pretzel. Like most of these, it was more like pretzel shaped bread, but it was still delicious and served hot (with plenty of salt!). The cheese sauce we got was really watery and a server (not ours) brought us another bowl of it without being prompted - very nice- though I mostly enjoy pretzels with mustard anyway (they had 4-5 varieties available). The marshmallow fluff was the hidden gem, however. It wasn't like jarred marshmallow fluff, but rather softer and tasted "toasted". Super yummy though I'd probably want it with some graham crackers and chocolate. Also, borscht! You don't often see that on menus so I had to go with it. I thought it was good! Service was fine. Ambiance was fine. Wouldn't hesitate to visit again if I were in the area! read more

A popular spot around town for German fare. It seemed our waitress wasn't having the best morning as she was pretty rash and cold. Love the interior. Lots of different types of seating for all people and a nice big TV. Bavarian Pretzel. I love a good Bavarian pretzel and these were no exception. They were extremely soft and well salted. The beer cheese added that extra goodness and had us all fighting over the last piece. Sausage Flight consisted of three different concoctions, all with different sausages and toppings. My favorite was the banh mi and my least favorite was the buffalo bleu cheese. All in all, great food for the price and great flavors. read more

Very friendly staff and inside /outside dining make this a fun bar like atmosphere . Food is German with a twist . Wursts have either a Vietnamese or Mexican type flair (banh mi or jalapeño topping ) . Bratwurst is a red spicier sausage here. Had a great snap skin yet very spicy to the palate . Highly recommend this place in Fargo. We went here on a work trip and place is sooo awesome. My husband got a local beer but they had so many selections. The table next to us got the huge boots and I'm talking huge. It looked fun. The feel of this place feels like HB in Munich! Pretzels are good we were licking our fingers and the schnitzel was awesome. It brought me back to Germany. We shared and ate the pork and it was honestly enough to share. I had a lovely dinner at Wurst Bier Hall last night! Great way to end my first day in Fargo! Wurst Bier Hall is a nice and quaint establishment situated in downtown Fargo. It has a nice rustic feel to it. I like how there is a roll of paper towels, condiments and a can of silverware at each table. For yesterday evening's meal, I dined at the bar area. My waitress was kind but she needs to speak up when talking. I could barely hear her each time she spoke with me. Also, she was late checking in with me to see how my meal turned out. I had about 3-4 bites left. Not sure if she was busy or overwhelmed. An earlier check-in would've been nice. For my meal, I ordered the Jager Schnitzel. You have a choice to get it grilled or breaded and fried. I chose mine breaded and fried. I also chose spatzel rather than French Fries and other potato options. The meal also comes with red cabbage as well. The Schnitzel was covered in a delicious mushroom gravy. Overall, fantastic meal! I would consider dining here again! Everything on my plate was delish! I passed on booze. However, it looks like they have a nice beer selection. Establishment is clean and servers are friendly. I finally was able to go here last night with my wonderful friend! I am so close to the tail end of my vacation. Just from passing by on the outside, I couldn't wait to see the inside. I loved the cozy and cool interiors. I appreciated a really clean restaurant with simple German themed decor and a nice restroom. The service here was amazing! A nice gentleman seated us and punched in our happy hour appetizer order so we could get the $5 price on the set of 3 Bavarian pretzels & beer cheese. These were super delicious as they were great size and lightly brushed with butter and a perfect salty taste! Well, my friend and I were not too hungry as we have already been eating good amounts of food on this trip of ours and my prolonged total trip. We had Ahna as our main server, and she was really sweet as she checked in with us often. We just had waters to drink to wash everything down. She kept us refilled often. We were sitting in the beer garden type area at the higher seating right next to a big screen TV. So we were able to watch a little hockey while relaxing and enjoying each other's company. I felt so comfortable here and did not feel rushed at all! It's a great atmosphere to just hang out whether a short or long stay!!! Now to the food... after procrastinating to be comfortable enough to finally eat, I ordered a favorite of mine for wherever I go. I got the Würst poutine! I loved this Fargo twist on a German poutine! The fries were perfectly cooked. The cheese curds tasted great. I really enjoyed the thicker brown gravy with diced mushrooms and thoroughly cooked onions. Yes, I am allergic to raw and undercooked onions. But I gave this a whirl, and I was able to eat as is because they cook the onions plenty enough! So if anyone has onion allergies or even if you don't like onions, you can still give it a try. Just tell them not to put the green onion garnish on top. It was a very good amount of food as my friend and I shared. She ordered the sweet potato fries with the marshmallow fluff dip. So we definitely got our fries fix on for the night! These were very delicious to eat as well. They were lightly coated with brown sugar and the marshmallow fluff had a wonderful sweetness to it, that went well with the sweet potato fries. Surprisingly, these two items filled us up. I also noticed that they have Bratwurst and German potato salad that I would love to try on my next visit. Overall, this was an extraordinary visit here! I'm visiting my daughter and she took me here because she loves this place...and it did not disappoint! I got the spaetzel and cheese (basically a Mac and cheese with spaetzel instead of Mac) and the elk and jalapeño cheese wurst. So delicious. We also ordered the pretzels with beer cheeses and the pierogies which were fantastic. The sauce on the pierogies was a sriracha butter sauce that was really good. If you've never been to North Dakota (or even Fargo, ND), then you'd like do some research in advance and find that there is a lot of Russian and German influences. So I knew I had to search for some Russian/German food while I took a short trip to Fargo. Unfortunately, there wasn't much option for Russian or German cuisine, but I did happen to find Wurst Bier Hall. When I entered the restaurant, I was their first customer. It was also my first time so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was greeted by a nice hostess who let me know I can sit at any open seating. I sat at one of their long benches and immediately browsed their very large menu. The restaurant itself was very casual - all the condiments, utensils, paper towels were all rested in the middle of the table and up for grabs by anyone. The waitress was super attentive and helpful! Food wise, I ordered 1) Knoephla Soup which is a very traditional German dish. It is very creamy and filled with little spaetzle 'dumplings.' It comes with some oyster crackers and was very hearty and filling. I personally added some pepper to give it a kick. Otherwise, the 'dumplings' were a little too tender for my taste and would have preferred the texture to be a bit more chewy. 2) Spaetzle Mac & Cheese. This is a very similar dish to the Knoephla Soup since it was mainly the spaetzle dumplings. However, I really wanted to give both a try. My verdict is the same as the Knoephla Soup, the dumplings were a bit too soft for my taste. The cheese was also a bit on the bland side so I had to add some pepper. 3) German Sausage was pretty good, it complimented the Mac and cheese very well. 3) Grandma Naomi's Homemade Kuchen is also a very traditional dish. I thoroughly enjoyed the pie. It is a bit on the sweeter side so be prepared. Overall, the food was delicious with some notes that I mentioned before. The service was a 10/10 for me. read more

After my first visit here I wasn't originally going to write a review, but once I visited again and it was just as fantastic as the first time, I decided to finally give Wurst Bier some much deserved recognition. Don't be fooled by the name- they serve far from the "wurst" items.. more like the "bierst" German food and tap drinks. Ha, I tried really hard there so please just appreciate the effort. There are two Wurst Biers- this downtown location and one in West Fargo. I believe this is the original location, and it's way freaking cooler than the WF one anyways so come to this one for the full experience. It's just got such a cool vibe and it's different in each room depending where you sit (or outside!). Okay, so real talk. You can't go wrong with any of their appetizers, and their bavarian pretzels are absolutely TO DIE FOR. Yep, you read right- their pretzels are incredible. They're about the size of your face and come with cheese and marshmallow dipping, and are heaven in your mouth. The food here is just fantastic- heavy, as it is German food, but fantastic nonetheless. And they have a lot of good alcohol options to pair them with. There's even a bacon & beer flight where you have 4 types of bacon and specialty beers to wash down each bacon with. Tons of fun! read more

We have gone to Wurst a couple times the past year while in Fargo for events. It's always a great dinner stop during busy weekends because they have communal seating and lots of tables. I've tried the schnitzle which was very good but filling and the hot italian sausage - which is perfectly spiced. I've had bites of the currywurst and the rabbit/rattlesnake sausage and those also did not disappoint.
