They also replaced our old stove insert so that we had an EPA compliant stove. They discussed options in context of our budget, removed and properly disposed of the old stove, installed the new one and we have happily heated our stove since. I absolutely recommend them for both chimney cleaning and stove installation.

I called Gorman to help me get my fireplace in working order. It had not been in use and is still not in use. The lady on the phone assured me not to worry they'd take care of everything. They came on 11/18 spent 5 minutes sweeping it and proceeded to charge us $265. They told my husband there are cracks and he could fix it himself with mortar caulking if he wanted to. They said they ordered a spark cap for it but I have called and left messages on 3 separate occasions trying to figure out if the spark cap has arrived yet. Once the lady wrote down my information and assured me they would reach out (they did not) the other times I was met with a voicemail where I left a detailed messaged and received no response. So what you're telling me is they charged us $265 for 5 minutes of work that even they agreed did not require a sweep since it hadn't been used? IF they ever get back to me about the spark cap how much is that going to be? Will there be an install fee too? I'd love to know the answer to these questions but it's impossible to get ahold of them, clearly. All we wanted was a working fireplace before Christmas. I guess that's not going to happen. I cancelled my appointment with McDonald Chimney Service because my realtor assured me Gorman was a reputable company. My experience proved otherwise.

She measured the two windows and showed us some samples. We made our choices and placed our order with a down payment. Ruby shared that it would take approximately four weeks to receive our order. A few days later I emailed Ruby asking if they offer any discounts. She said they offer 10% off for Veterans. In less than three weeks, we received a call from Phil, the owner, who said they had received a Sunday shipment and he could install them the following Wednesday. He arrived at the scheduled time and within thirty minutes, our lovely blinds were installed. He did honor the 10% discount and deducted that amount from our balance.
