We first came to Dr. Koo nine years ago when my daughter needed oral surgery. He was very responsive to questions and issues then, and nothing has changed in the practice since then in that regard. His staff give detailed instructions for post-surgical care so you know how to take care of yourself when you leave their office.

I received a tooth extraction here last year by Dr. Koo. The office staff were ok, some friendlier…read morethan others, except the woman who handled billing was rude. The wait time is very long, so don't expect your time to be valued by them, and they know it because they have timers on the door. The office could use some updating as well. At our consultation, Dr. Koo was accommodating and supportive of the plan we had created, however upon my second visit he completely backtracked and changed the plan. I do not prefer anyone but an anesthesiologist to be put to sleep and will never use a dental provider as one again. The IV bag hung from a string in the ceiling, the surgical suite was cold and dark and I had to reconfirm several times which tooth we were removing. They were very cold and not personable after surgery either. The days that followed were terrible.. I called a few times to inquire about some recovery questions and was met with disrespect like I was an inconvenience to the staff. I also had to wait over an hour or more for my post op appts, and spent MAYBE 10 mins with Dr. Koo when he finally came in. The surgical site is still not the best. Overall, He was very dismissive and seemed very distant after surgery, I'm not sure if he even desires to provide good care or just wants you in and out.. I did not return for the implant and will not. Always do your due diligence when looking for any kind of healthcare professional, it will save you a lot of mistreatment.

Absolutely the top quality care & patient experience anywhere! I cannot more highly recommend this…read moredental practice from start to finish. Every interaction, from phone to reception, to scheduling, reminders, ease of access, free parking, processing intake was efficient & superlative!! BEST of all: Dr Iero was affable, brilliant, skilled, speedy, VERY solicitous of patient convenience & ease, PLUS ensured a PAINLESS procedure. Do not be nervous about entrusting Dr. Iero with your dental surgery!! His personal follow-up call to check-in how you're recovering is absolutely PERFECT! I didn't want to leave, but to stay there with such marvelous people! Even the background music & hearing Dr. Iero share accounts of his life are wonderful. Kudos to all members of this Team!!

I'm so glad I ended up hunting down Dr. Iero. I wasn't referred to him by my regular dentist…read morebecause my regular dentist wanted to do the extraction but I wasn't comfortable with that so I started looking for an oral surgeon specifically. I was diagnosed with a cracked tooth which caused an infection and extraction of the tooth was going to be the best option. During my consult the office did a really cool scan/xray thing and actually ended up being diagnosed without anyone ever even looking in my mouth which I thought was super cool. The office is also nice and clean which got huge bonus points from me since I can be really sensitive to smells. The extraction took like 20 minutes total and I'm not going to say it was a walk in the park because- someone ripped my tooth out of my face but it actually was painless. Even the shots were so magically well done. One of the nurses/assistants (IDK what they are) told me at the start that she was going to put numbing agent where he would do the shots and just never came back so he did the shots without them and I literally couldn't feel them. I had just had a filling the week before and it felt like the dentist was shooting acid in my face so for Dr. Iero to be able to give me a shot IN THE ROOF OF MY MOUTH without any real discomfort was pretty impressive to me. He also walked me through what he was doing and explained what might happen. When my cap broke off I didn't panic because the doc had given me a heads up. And at the end they gave me a care package of things that I didn't even think to need. If I can give any advice to anyone seeing Dr. Iero though it would be- absolutely do not be late. On the day of the procedure Houston got some heavy rain and drivers were freaking out as they do so while I allowed myself 20 minutes of travel time for the 10 minute drive, I ended up being late and the doc was SUPER obvious about his annoyance. He wasn't angry as much as like disappointed parent mode and he mentioned it not once but twice. I also hate people who are late and I hate being late so I totally understood the annoyance but just allow yourself the extra time. I would still recommend him 10 out of 10 times because of how well he did. If you're that skilled you can be particular- those are the rules lol all in all this was a very positive experience given that i lost a tooth. I'll see him again in a few months for the rest of the process and if (god forbid) I have to get another extraction I will 100% come back to Bellaire facial, oral, and dental implant surgery.

From the start, the office was incredibly accommodating with scheduling my daughter's wisdom teeth extraction. The check-in and check-out process, consultation, and surgery had a wonderful flow, showing just how efficient and genuinely caring the team is. Dr. Yang and his team took the time to thoroughly explain both the pre-op and post-op care, which completely eased my daughter's anxiety. It is rare to find a practice that combines this level of top-tier surgical expertise with such heartfelt compassion. Thank you, Dr. Yang and team!"

So, I started to search from my insurance website. Everything checked out okay. There was a long wait to be seen for the first time. After my account is established, everything is fast. I can't say I enjoy my teeth getting pulled out. But it wasn't as painful as it sounded. Dr Yang took good care of me. The medical assistants were efficient and the front office was friendly. Whole process only took 15 minutes. Because I enjoyed being here, I started inquiring if the service extends to beyond tooth extraction. Ha! No. I have to go back to my regular dentist to get a bridge built. My decaying tooth started with dentist refused to give space to avoid food get stuck between teeth. That got me thinking if I should change dentist because of their alternative motives. Don't worry. I'll be back. He found a possible candidate that might need to be removed. P.S. The thread to saw the surgical site was made out of pig intestines. It's harmless if digested.

I don't know what they're talking about because even after being sedated during the procedure, I'm feeling WAY better and awake and aware than I anticipated after the fact. Antoinette was so sweet as she got me prepped, making sure I was calm, and warm. She even held my hand. I told her she was new my best friend. Before I fell asleep I told everyone in the room "thanks for doing this for me" and Dr. Cooper-Newland thanked me for trusting them. She must be some kind of miracle worker if I'm able to feel this good this quickly. Maybe tomorrow will be different, but so far my friends and family are in shock as to how well how I'm doing. What an amazing doctor and staff all around! Even to the front desk staff!! You guys rock!

The doctor, a pleasant young man, was patient and had good manners. However, certain diagnostic procedures were being strongly pushed on me, and, as I later found out, these procedures were excessive and not as safe as what was claimed. I realize that it's entirely my responsibility that I didn't do my homework and therefore wasn't prepared to stand my ground, which led to me accepting unnecessary procedures. I also realize that many doctors feel that they first and foremost need to cover themselves from potential lawsuits; the patient's wellness comes second at best. Soon I received a huge bill, whereas all I wound up needing was to get 2 teeth pulled at my regular dentist. I have described my experience, you might have better luck with this practice. At any rate, I advise you to do your research before visiting a doctor, so that you are prepared to decide for yourself what you may or may not need, and not give in under pressure.

But, suffice it to say, I had been in awful pain for over a month while two other dentists attempted to identify and fix the problem; so I was not the happiest of campers! But after meeting with Dr. Lopez, my deepest intuition told me he was the only one I would trust to help me out of my predicament. Due to my situation, there were many days of after-care which took place in the office. Each day I was there, Dr. Lopez was so kind and helpful, and during each step of the treatment, applied his vast knowledge in a wise and calm, reassuring manner. The ladies who assisted him were amazing... so kind without fail -- and obviously extremely capable in their field... they were like Dental Angels :-) ! I feel my case was handled by everyone there in the most positive and beneficial way, and because of Dr. Lopez, I soon believed I would be ready to leave on a 3-week vacation without any major problems. Dr. Lopez is also Medical Doctor, a Pharmacist, as well as an Oral Surgeon! However, after meeting Dr. Lopez and talking to him he put all my concerns to rest. His bedside manners are second to none. After my consolidation, the ladies in the office called before my surgery to check in with me, to review my procedure again and make sure I didn't have any additional questions. The day of the surgery Dr. Lopez did everything he could to make sure I was comfortable. He came out behind the receptionist desk when I was in the waiting room and asked if I was ready and starting making jokes. He knew that I was terrified of needles like a little kid so he made me completely forget about the needle. I mentioned that laying back helps me when it comes to needles, so before he started the IV he reclined my seat all the way back in a full relax mood, he had one of his assistants hold my hand. (Don't laugh - I have a sever issue with needles) After the surgery no pain, no extra bleeding. I seriously was up Friday like nothing had happen - other then a small amount of swelling. My only suggestion is never ask someone who had their wisdom teeth pulled 30 years ago about the process, they will all give you horror stories.
