There is SO much to thank them for with heart-felt gratitude: this man and his entire practice, from the surgical and dental assistants, all the way through to the ladies in the reception, who were always patient, helpful and kind. But, suffice it to say, I had been in awful pain for over a month while two other dentists attempted to identify and fix the problem; so I was not the happiest of campers! But after meeting with Dr. Lopez, my deepest intuition told me he was the only one I would trust to help me out of my predicament. Due to my situation, there were many days of after-care which took place in the office. Each day I was there, Dr. Lopez was so kind and helpful, and during each step of the treatment, applied his vast knowledge in a wise and calm, reassuring manner. The ladies who assisted him were amazing... so kind without fail -- and obviously extremely capable in their field... they were like Dental Angels :-) ! I feel my case was handled by everyone there in the most positive and beneficial way, and because of Dr. Lopez, I soon believed I would be ready to leave on a 3-week vacation without any major problems. Dr. Lopez and his staff are AMAZING! I would highly recommend to anyone. Last week I had my 4 wisdom teeth and 1 cracked tooth removed. As you might think I was scared bat crazy. However, after meeting Dr. Lopez and talking to him he put all my concerns to rest. His bedside manners are second to none. After my consolidation, the ladies in the office called before my surgery to check in with me, to review my procedure again and make sure I didn't have any additional questions. The day of the surgery Dr. Lopez did everything he could to make sure I was comfortable. He came out behind the receptionist desk when I was in the waiting room and asked if I was ready and starting making jokes. He knew that I was terrified of needles like a little kid so he made me completely forget about the needle. I mentioned that laying back helps me when it comes to needles, so before he started the IV he reclined my seat all the way back in a full relax mood, he had one of his assistants hold my hand. (Don't laugh - I have a sever issue with needles) After the surgery no pain, no extra bleeding. I seriously was up Friday like nothing had happen - other then a small amount of swelling. Doctor Lopez is AMAZING! I've been putting off to take off my wisdom teeth for awhile until I realized that I had absolutely no choice or else I will always have toothaches and infections every now and then. Just the thought of going to the dentist give me jitters so you can imagine how scared I was to do something like extraction of wisdom teeth. I decided to take out two at a time as those are the ones that keep on giving me problems. One of them was impacted as well. I asked to be put under so that I don't have to feel anything and in case I flip out in the middle of the surgery. Doctor Lopez told me it's not necessary. He can just do local anesthesia and assured that I won't feel the pain. The procedure itself was painless and quick. I walked out his office door in complete disbelief at how easy the procedure went. Soreness only last few days but I didn't feel much pain or have any complications afterwards at all! Being the paranoid person I am, , I requested a follow up visit with Doctor Lopez a week after the extraction even though I felt completely fine. They were able to see me in the same week. Dr. Lopez is so wonderful! I am normally afraid of the Dentist and admit that I do not go as recommended. My Dentist referred me to Dr. Lopez and I got an appointment the next day, A+! When I got there my blood pressure was too high and instead of him taking my money and sending me on my merry way, he made me wait, go to my Doctor, bring him a letter in writing and then come back in a few days so he knows for sure that I'm okay for surgery, A++! The office is neat, the staff is nice and Dr. Lopez is just the perfect Dentist. When I did get back in there, he numbed every single inch of my gums. He was gentle, he constantly asked me if I was okay. He explained everything that he was about to do. He was patient, calm and nice. I was offered a blanket which I accepted. The assistant kept wetting my lips with water since I had my mouth open for an extended time. Bottom line: Dr. Lopez is the bomb in the Dentist world! Dr. Lopez and his team did a great job on my widsom teeth removal. I had 2 impacted wisdom teeth and I was very afraid of getting them removed. During my initial consultation, Dr. Lopez really put me at ease. He answered all of my questions and Maria followed up with me on issues with my insurance and scheduling. I was so afraid on my actual appointment day that I wanted to pay the $500 it would cost to be put to sleep, but it turned out that it was not necessary. I was awake (but numb) during the entire procedure and Dr. Lopez made sure that I was comfortable. He explained just enough to keep me at ease, but not too much to scare me. My procedure was slightly technical because of the way my wisdom teeth grew in, but I did not encounter any issues. My recovery was pretty easy. I didn't experience any pain or excessive bleeding at all. (I took my meds and followed all instructions carefully.) I was scared because it took about 2-3 months for the feeling to fully return on one side of my jaw. That is because my wisdom tooth was so close to my nerve and Dr. Lopez had fully explained this to me during my consultation. During my follow-up appointments, he was really helpful. I waited until I was 100% recovered to write this review. I need another minor extraction and I hope to return to his office. Kudos and an A+++ to he and his staff! I am so relieved to have those teeth removed because they were causing me a lot of problems. Dr. Lopez is top notch! I went to him because I needed to have my all four of my wisdom teeth removed. I had put off the surgery for a few years because I never felt I had found the right oral surgeon I could trust. Dr. Lopez was exactly what is been looking for: credible, excellent at communication, and thorough. He explained everything about the procedure and we discussed the pros and cons until I was comfortable. A month later I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed and it was virtually pain free! There was even a risk he would hit a nerve but being the excellent surgeon he is, I had no complications. Swelling only lasted about a week and a procedure I deemed as scary ended up being a-okay! I was a patient of Dr. Lopez more than 8 years ago and by mistake recently went to Dr. Seabold and got a hack job from him. Thankfully, I found Dr. Lopez again and went back to him to help me fix Dr. Seabold's mess. I am 2 days into my root removal and my jaw hasn't been locking up and in pain after eating. I have never written a review on Yelp before, but Dr. Lopez did such an awesome job yesterday, him and the staff are well deserving of a post. I got my wisdom teeth removed yesterday and the whole procedure was a breeze. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, the Doctor and staff worked to make sure all of my nerves about the surgery were relieved. The extraction itself was painless and quick, never thought that it could be so. In fact, he took more time making sure that I was comfortable beforehand, and preparing me moving forward, than the actually surgery itself! Dr. Lopez was a very cool guy too. Summary: the doctor did a good job, he was friendly and took time to explain what is going on. Some details: I went in to extract the four wisdom tooth. Like most, I had some concerns with such surgery. MY tooth were not impacted. Went in for the pre surgery meeting, watched a scary video that says you can have tons of complications. Doctor came to explain couple of things then off to take an appointment. Things went pretty fast. I decided to take a local anesthesia. The ladies in the service told me this is what they did and they did not feel a thing so it helped me decide (other choice was IV sedation). Then the surgery: everything went fast, only felt a tiny bit the anesthesia then less than what after, I was driving back home. 2h later, lot of blood, you swallow it a lot, made my stomach hurts for 5 days along with headache, got a very sick week end. Called the doctor on the emergency number to check if everything was normal on a Saturday, he answered and advised to take time or things like that. I drank coke and ate tums. 24h later I was better. Guess my blood was indigest. For that part, everyone can answer differently to such surgery. So doctor and the team provided good care and instructions on how to deal with the whole thing. I recommend people to go there if they have to do an extraction although I cannot compare what experience I d have at another office (and to be honest I don't want to ever know how it could have been). read more

Dr. Lopez is a truly compassionate and highly skilled doctor. I went to another reputable doctor in Houston for a consultation on two wisdom teeth (one impacted and near the nerve on the bottom jaw), and he ignored my concerns about going under for the procedure - it was his way or the highway and he would not consider local anesthesia. I found Dr. Lopez through a referral from Dr. Vergara, and came out of Dr. Lopez's office thanking God! When my procedure was done, I thought I misheard Dr. Lopez and asked him twice with gauze in my mouth if he was sure he was done because it felt like I was only in the chair for five minutes. Dr. Lopez performed the procedure so effortlessly ALL under local anesthesia - the lidocaine injections, incision, extractions, and stitches - just amazing! I had no pain throughout the procedure AND no damage to the nerve. Dr. Lopez listened to my concerns and addressed all of my repeat questions at the consultation, and performed the procedure exactly how I wanted which was very important to me. I have never had oral surgery, but I needed to go in to get three teeth removed. Two of my teeth were erupted and one was impacted, but Dr. Lopez used Local anesthesia and I have yet experience any pain. I just got my surgery done this Tuesday and today is Saturday and have yet to experience any pain. I was really worried before coming in because everyone was warning me about the pain I would be experiencing the day after but I am so glad I haven't experienced any so far. He was very attentive to my facial expressions during surgery to make sure I was never experiencing any pain and comfortable during the whole process. To sum up how happy I am with this experience, my appointment was scheduled at 8 am and I was out at 9 am! How awesome? I highly recommend him for your oral surgery needs! Had an issue with a cracked tooth in my pallet that had to be surgically removed, and Dr Lopez was recommended to me. I live in Pearland, and made to trip out to the Galleria area to get this procedure done. It was definitely worth the effort. This office ran very well and did a great job of making me comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Lopez. I had 4 wisdom teeth removed by him earlier this month. I first went to his office for the consultation. This was going to be my first surgery and I had so many questions. He made sure all my questions/concerns were answered. Dr. Lopez is also easy to work with and accommodating. I wanted get all 4 teeth extracted at the same time and I only wanted to do local anesthesia, just my personal preference. I came back to his office for the surgery later that week and the process was very smooth. I had some last minute questions and he was more than happy to answer them. After applying the anesthesia, Dr. Lopez and his team began the surgery. Dr. Lopez is very good about explaining what he is doing during the process. And he consistently asks for your feedback to make sure you are feeling ok. This made me feel comfortable during the procedure. Once the procedure was done I was given a care package, with the next steps on the recovery process and also my prescriptions. I think everyone has a different recovery experience. Overall my recovery went well. What was nice is that his assistant gave me a call after the surgery to check in with me. I called about a week after the surgery to schedule a check up and they took me in a few days later. I felt I could reach out to Dr. Lopez for any concerns I had. Just had my second visit to Dr. Lopez and both times went perfectly. Had one wisdom tooth pulled about 6 months ago and just had a second one pulled this week. They treated me without insurance and the prices were higher than w insurance but not outrageous. The 2nd tooth only took about 15 minutes for the whole procedure and is healing nicely. It only hurt the day after the surgery and by day 3 is feeling fine. Had insurance by this time and price was very affordable. read more

He does keep his office very chilly but when I mentioned how cold it was his staff was quick to offer a nice warm blanket :) . THE STAFF IS HORRIBLE!!! There is a mexican receptionist who does not know what she is doing. Honestly, IF YOUR A NEW PATIENT... CONTINUE TO READ THIS... My father was referred to this doctor and I read the reviews on yelp so I was well assured that this office knew what their doing... honestly, they do not. If I was the doctor I'd FIRE that staff member. She was rude and disrespectful. We had an appointment we came 15 minutes late, but this is because we called asked her about the suite number, and she put us on hold for a really long time. I told her before she put me on hold that i had a quick question and shes like no continue to hold and she put me on hold. Overall, we thought this is a single standing office, but its actually in a building with multiple offices. Even above, the address does not have a suite number, when I called few days prior to verified the address the staff didnt tell us there was a suite number. (FYI: elderlies/ people who dont know how to use technology) I know technology is pretty big so their directory downstairs is electronic which is big issue for elderly who may not know how to use it. Since I dont have issues with technology when we typed in his name it would not show up and his 1st name is abbreviated. Anyway we finally found it. Once we came, the receptionist did not welcome us instead she said you guys are late thats because she couldnt give me the suite #r since she made us hold forever. I informed her I know we are late, but then she continue to say dont worry we are late too. After sitting down we waited and waited after 30 min later she gave us paper work to complete. We had another patient come in way after us and she took him in before us, we didnt say much thought he probably came in for something else. We continue to wait and another patient came. After an hour of that patient came and waited, they started to complain about they have been here for over an hour (I usually know doctors office takes forever so I just patiently waited). The wife got mad stating if you guys couldnt be on time then dont ask her to come early. Since that mexican girl didnt know what to do she got another staff to speak to her. The other staff was probably a mexican too but much nicer and she apologized etc and said they have additional hour to wait (so basically they would have to 3 hours). I asked her how much longer do we have to wait... she stated 20 minutes or so we will take you in. I said okay and waited. The wife of the other patient kept getting mad so by then the other mexican girl came back (the rude one) and she said oo we will take you in 20 minutes to the wife. I overheard it so I verified stating "well if they are going to take them in 20 minute how long do we have to go because the other nurse said you will call us in 20 min." She said no you have to wait over an hour more. This got me extremely upset, because other patients (who are established are more PRIORITY over their new patients). SHe took 2 patients before us who's appointments were after us. IT WAS UNACCEPTABLE and we left didnt see the doctor. She kepts giving me an attitude stating this patient after you has a special case and we came 15 minutes late. I told her cases doesnt matter (expecially the fact it wasnt an emergency because that patient looked perfectly fine) and we came late because you put us on hold forever.. couldnt even get the suite #, it's not fair for new patients to come and continue to wait while you continue to take establish patients in. I think because his wife got really mad that they decided to take him before. I confronted her stating these two patients had appointments after us.. and maybe by accident she stated the patient she took in before us is still waiting inside the room... if she takes another patient ahead of us we probably had waited over 4-5 hours!!! If the office was already running behind so much, it would be better for them to call us and say we are running behind do you mind coming a different date or later today. Throughout the week, I got 2 calls from their office confirming the appointment and even then we waited over 2 hours and couldnt see the doctor and on top she stated I had to wait even longer. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. The doctor maybe great. STAFF IS HORRIBLE, incompetent, totally stupid that they dont know how to make a proper SCHEDULE!! IF you have all day to wait, i would recommend you to go, but if you dont and actually have a life dont go to this doctor. We called our primary dentist and told us NEVER send her patients there... they are horrible so she gave me Dr. Steve Koo number. I have been a receptionist and now a nurse... there is a way you talk to your patients and we were very patient about waiting but waiting even longer by taking 2 other patients before us is unacceptable. I was referred to Dr. Lopez from my primary dentist because I needed 3 wisdom teeth removed. (I had one previously removed years ago). I have a condition where my bottom wisdom teeth grew in completely perpendicular to my other teeth making them very difficult to remove. The first time I went was for TMJ pain which I later found out was caused by a local infection. I called the office and I was given an appointment the same day for an exam. Dr. Lopez was extremely friendly and took his time to make sure he explained every step of the procedure as well as what to expect after. I was given an antibiotic that day and made an appointment for the extractions the following week. The supporting staff at the office are AMAZING! Very professional, friendly and attentive. They even offered me a warm blanket for a chilly room :). My procedure was done under general anesthesia and aside from the typical pain it went rather well. A few days after the surgery I felt some unusual pain at the site. I called the office around 3:50pm on a Friday afternoon (didn't realize they closed at 4), and the office staff insisted I come in so I wouldn't have pain throughout the weekend. Unfortunately I ended up with the rare complication of "dry socket" because of the nausea with the anesthetic, but I didn't even mind coming back to the office for packing changes because the staff was so pleasant. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Lopez- The office clean and in a very nice building, the staff is great and work well together, and Dr. Lopez is wonderful. 5 stars! read more

I recently had two wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Lopez under local anesthesia, and it was the best dental experience ever. He and his staff made sure I was comfortable throughout the process and that every question was answered. I barely felt anything when he injected the local anesthetic, he made sure that I was numb before he began and I felt no discomfort at all during the extractions. I was referred to Dr. Lopez to have my bottom wisdom teeth removed because they were impacted. Just off of first impressions his office is very nice and clean. His employees were all very nice and helpful. I went in for my consultation and since I have a shunt in my brain Dr. Lopez wanted to be safe and have me get a physical to get clearance to have the surgery done. I really appreciated him for taking the time to cover all the basis and make sure there would be no complications for either him or me on the day of surgery. The day of surgery was a breeze. A couple days afterwards unfortunately I got a dry socket which had me in so much pain I couldn't open my mouth and it was giving me a bad headache. (That wasn't the doctors fault it just sometimes happens when getting your wisdom teeth removed.) I called his office to see if I could come in and be looked at and his staff was nice enough to get me in within two hours. I went in and Dr. Lopez treated me and lessened my pain tremendously.
