This is a FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS and the have another store in Vail, Co I bought a fur-vest in the Vail location and they shipped the wrong size to my home. They refused to send me a shipping return label and when I did send and payed for the shipping costs they refused to except it. It was unfortunate that our first experience in Aspen started at this store. Within 60 seconds of walking into the store, we were approached by the salesperson in a strikingly condescending manner. Puzzled by his glare, I asked him if there was a problem with us trying on the merchandise and I was surprised by his response, "you guys are playing." His demeanor indicated that we leave the store immediately. We were very unclear what prompted the rude behavior. If there was a problem with the way we tried on the jackets, I wish his approach was kinder or at least professional. We really had no clue why he behaved that way. We're still scratching our heads about it. It was a horrible experience to start our Aspen trip at this store. Luckily, staff at the remainder of the stores in town were kind and courteous. I would highly encourage store management to view any video footage of the experience to help this individual with his customer service skills. The incident occurred on 07/22/19 around 5:30. I have lived in Vail for a year and finally decided to visit this store to compare with a jacket I was considering at Alaska Fur in BC (which had great selection & service). Immediately upon walking in and greeting the older woman who was working, she was rude which we initially ignored. When I lifted up one hanger she instantly started berating me and yelling that we were just there "to play", especially since the jacket was not even my size. I asked her how I would even know the size without inspecting it and she said that she was watching us and we clearly did not have money. We were the only 2 people in this small store so it clearly seemed like she was just waiting for us to do something to yell at us for, as this was within 2 minutes of walking in. I said that if there was specific protocol about us not touching anything then she should say something upon entering and try to assist before waiting to scream at any guest. She continued yelling until we left, and considering the other reviews it is crazy that this seems like the accepted customer service for the company. I walked into this store to try on some jackets I was genuinely interested in buying, until the owner/shopkeeper rudely approached and stared at us. When we asked if there was a problem, he said "you guys are here to play." I felt profiled for no reason, and left the store emotionally disturbed. I was genuinely excited about purchasing these coats, but am shocked at such a rude interaction. Though I liked the items, I would never purchase from here because of how I was treated. Reply to Max: we did not disrespect or mishandle any items. We were profiled and stared at right when we walked in before even trying anything on, my friend noticed this immediately, I did not. Even if we accidentally had mishandled something, the way we were approached was NOT respectful at all. You assumed we were some sort of criminals and thus did not offer us help in any way - which is what one would do if they had any customer service skills. This was the WORST customer service experience i have ever had and am very surprised that you pride yourself on it at all. We even went to other, higher end stores down the street and tried on items, where we faced no issues and friendliness. You mistook genuine excitement and customers as criminal. I feel sorry for you. This store has a good selection of items but the shop owner is extremely rude. He kept staring at me and my friends as we were sorting through the items in the store and was making us incredibly uncomfortable. When he finally did approach us, it's because he was irritated by the fact that we were trying on coats before buying them??? I'm not even going to try to explain that logic. He didn't greet us when we walked in, he didn't ask us if we needed help finding anything - all he he did was insult potential customers. Rip offs never shipped my Akita leggings, created a label but never took it to Usps. They then tried to say they issued a refund which was another lie. Had to file a dispute with my bank to get my money back. They tried to berate me for telling the truth about their business practices and I just got my notice in the mail today from my bank completing their investigation and Denimaxx never issued a refund as they said they did. So the bank returned my money and will go after Denimaxx for the loss read more

If shopping in Aspen, Denimaxx is a must! Years ago, I got a navy blue shearling coat and it is gorgeous. I get so many compliments on it by friends, colleagues, strangers, etc., even today. It is such high quality jacket. For those who don't want real fur, they have plenty of faux options as well. I just picked up a beautiful snow white faux fur vest. Max and Dennis, the two owners (and brothers) really want you to love your pieces. They offer suggestions and their opinions but are never pushy. They have so many styles. Absolutely love this store! Every time we visit Aspen I have to go there and get another fabulous outfit. Dennis is always helpful and friendly and we feel like we are catching up with a friend rather than just shopping. Their products are beautiful. I love all of their designs and the bling. DO NOT SHOP HERE. I wish I had read the reviews before I bought a mink and leather coat here. Lets just say it was not inexpensive and after only a handful of wears, the coat is literally falling apart and the zipper is getting stuck. I called the store and spoke to Bridgette. She asked me to text her a photo (same as pictured) and a copy of the receipt, then she told me to bring it back to be repaired. Fortunately, we were going back to Vail the next week. When I went to the store with the jacket, the male owner was a very rude and disrespectful... "why are you bringing this here, you must have done this, what did you expect us to do, blah, blah, blah". Even when I showed him the texts between his wife/Brigette and me, he continued to berate me as if I did something wrong! Brigette was silent FYI. They were not only NO help whatsoever, but complete jerks. I go to Vail for several weeks a year and will NEVER shop there again. I am the kind of person that just cannot say no to a cool pair of yoga pants. This was an exciting store to shop because of the very unique designs and the incredible variety of clothing, hats, bags, etc. I appreciated the high quality material and eclectic designs of the selection. When I went the other day they were having a great (and simply irresistible) sale on leggings and ski/cycle clothing. I ended up buying some leggings and a hat, all of which I know I will not find anywhere else. I am excited to have some high-end and unusual fashion items. I went out of my way to bring my mother and sister to see the store. Great customer service and wide variety of athletic and leisure clothing. Would definitely return! read more
