I wish he can accept adults like me. His office is kid oriented with 2 pinball machines, a beautiful fish tank, kid books and an open floor plan so the kids are not afraid being in an enclosed dentist office. How cool it is too play video games when he works on your teeth. I have never heard crying or screaming from any child in this office. He has a way with kids. He always explained what he plans to do with you. He never lies and earns trust from the kids. My kid is never afraid of dentist appointment and I wish I can do the same with my own. His appointment is always on time. Again, I wish he accept adult patients and I will be the first on line.

The first call was my wife who had explained the situation and we needed to see someone ASAP. She was put on hold only to be told that there was nothing for another 1.5 weeks. I called immediately after to appeal since he was in constant pain and was unable to eat for two days (we'd been to the ER and they only put on a layer that came off the next day--the office was closed Sunday and Monday). Suddenly, the receptionist's tone changed and we were shut down that they couldn't take us and had no alternative suggestions for us. About an hour later, Dr. Ioannou called me directly to make it right. He found a way for Dr. Matt to see us immediately. When we showed up, we were seen very quickly. And while the tooth had to be extracted, they were great with my son. (I've never done this before but I deleted an older post I made because of how quickly Dr. Ioannou responded and how friendly they were to my son; I was not asked to remove it or edit my post in any way)

BEWARE! THIS MAN IS A MANIAC! I took my son in November for…read morea first time consultation. And the minute my son sat on the chair the man was treating us like we were garbage. He said our gov't insurance was crap and most likely my son wouldn't be approved but that he would submit a request for authorization. Almost two months go by and I call the insurance company to find out what the status of his authorization was, the insurance company told me that the doctor had never submitted anything and that they didn't have even have records of my son visiting this orthodontist! I called the orthodontist office and I was told by his receptionist Julianne that I had to wait 4-6 weeks (when it had already been 6 weeks!) because they hadn't received any response from the insurance company. I told her that I had just gotten off the phone with the insurance company and told her what they told me. She was quiet and put me on hold. Then she came back and said they had submitted it and she was going to check with the insurance, to give her another week and call back. CLEARLY they hadn't done anything at all. I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and waited a week. I called back today and without telling her who I was or reminding her about my son's case I asked for an update. She said "We submitted the request on Friday and we need to wait 4-6 weeks for a response" WHAT???? Then I told her who I was and she put me on hold, the orthodontist came on the line and started yelling at me like a maniac, saying "Who do you think you are to say that my office didn't do what they were supposed to do?" I tried to speak and he wouldn't let me, and believe me I kept my cool the entire time. Then he said it was "stupid Obama Care" (which is not the insurance we have) that they didn't have a clue and I shouldn't expect to get anything from my insurance. He screamed everything he said and never let me speak, until I said "Dr. Friedman, please allow me to speak, I am your client and patient, where is your customer service?". I explained what the insurance company said and he put me on hold for 10 minutes. I waited while my blood boiled, but NEVER loss my cool. When he returned to the phone he was a little bit more calm but still rudely told me to do whatever I wanted and that if I waited then it would be for 4 to 6 weeks and not to expect my son to get approved. He's awful. Go elsewhere, it's not worth your time, money or effort!

I really didn't like this dentist. Her office insisted on my sending my old dental records and then…read moreclaimed they couldn't locate mine or my husband's records. My dental insurance also only covers X-rays once a year, so they would have billed us out of pocket for "not finding" our records. They also made it out like my husband and I had so many problems, and also suggested I get cleanings every 3 months without disclosing that my insurance will only pay for every 6 months. I felt like they were trying to take advantage of us. I'm only giving 2 stars because the dentist did seem to know her stuff, her and her office were just trying to take advantage of us. Will never go back.
