The quality of care at this orthodontist is terrible. It starts with the front desk personnel that are disrespectful and unprofessional. The quality of service putting on permanent retainers is awful and you will end up having to go back only a few months later to have them replace the retainer because they continue to fall off. You will also have to pay each time you go back. It's unfortunate they are not a professional and reputable orthodontist. I would not recommend them at all. read more

Patient beware! This office continues to submit insurance claims for my children's braces well after the job was done. The office manager told me the claims are automatic and has yet to do anything about it. In addition, my insurance was taking money from my FSA account to pay the full amount claimed by Newman's office. I may never see that money again as Newman's office manager is very deceptive, disorganized, and hard to reach. To top it off, my daughter needed to have her teeth redone - her complicated case was completely mismanaged. I would not recommend this office to anyone!!! read more

Dr. Newman's office is great. I first came in for Invisalign but after consultation he determined they were not the best route for treatment. As such I walked out with ceramic braces the same day and have not looked back. I see Dr. Newman every visit before my adjustment. I am seen at the time of my appointment and am not kept waiting (which is key as I come during the workday). All the assistants are nice and mindful of my sensitive teeth. They also take the time to answer all my questions (as there are many). I am 75% done with my treatment and am very pleased. I highly recommend others. read more

But the woman that handles the financial aspects of the business is deceptive and almost I would like to say fraud is being committed there. Despite his location, Dr.Newman is a very capable orthodontist and is not afraid to tackle some tough cases. A very friendly staff caters to your needs and makes you feel at home. Dr.Newman ranks high based on a) service staff; b) finances; c) knowledge; d) convenience. Their service staff is a plus. They treat as if you're a nephew coming over for a visit. They are used to both child and adult braces, so they always consider your needs as a parent, professional, or student. They have a myriad of payment options for everyone, all incredibly fair, reasonable, and applicable to whatever situation you are in. Dr.Newman knows his stuff. I have very very acute crowding (a mold was once taken by another orthodontist to show as an EXTREME case of crowding for his upcoming convention). He has made great progress and hopefully will make his deadline of having my braces off prior to law school graduation. Although slightly inconvenient to get to, they make it very easy for you to schedule according to your life. Open on Saturdays and taking into account workers by occasionally staying late to get to you, they are very reasonable. One warning, I've had a couple of issues with wires being a bit long, but it's hard for them to tell, so mention it, and they will immediately take care of it. Highly recommended. read more

Newman Orthodontics rocks! Their facility is clean, the staff is excellent, and Dr. Newman is absolutely fantastic. Have I sung enough praises? I truly cannot say anything bad about the practice. They are a little expensive but I am a believer in the saying, "you get what you pay for." If you have a propensity for privacy, however, this may not be the place for you. Treatments are done in an open bay style space but there is at least 1 private treatment room, I believe. I obviously have never used the private room. I had clear, zirconium brackets bonded and wore them for just under 2 years. And I was very happy with the result. My teeth looked great! I had minor work to do with teeth spacing plus under/overbites. Dr. Newman always tended to and never passed me along to anyone else (an assistant or otherwise). I felt like the staff actually cared about me as a patient and that is extremely important. I made effort to keep up with my tightening appointments every 4-6 weeks and never, ever remained in the waiting room for more than 15 minutes at a time. An update: my plastic Invisalign retainers broke after wearing for a year and a half, and I ended up not wearing anything on my teeth for almost 3 months. And so...my teeth shifted and I need braces again :-(. Saw Dr. Newman today and I am totally going to be a brace-face for 6 more months. Metal braces are the cheapest option so that's the route I'll be taking! Listen, this place has to be the real deal for me to drive 50 miles round-trip on a monthly basis...for the second time around. P. S. I read some of the reviews and I would just like to say so far I have not had any issues with billing. The staff has looked to help me and my kids out since day one, and one time they had an issue she was very transparent and helpful. As for the rest of the team, Dr. Newman and the staff are helpful, kind, and patient. I always have a lot of questions and they are always ready to answer. The office is clean and fun for the kids. I rarely wait more than 10 minutes. The accommodate us when we need an urgent appointment. I go there all the way from Brooklyn, so that says a lot for us to travel so far, but sometimes you have to travel to get the best of care. read more

This is the worst dental practice I have ever encountered. Their poor care and inefficient work is only exceeded by the terrible service provided by the office manager and support staff. From the moment my spouse was coerced into signing a contract that superseded the benefits from my insurance company, to the the incredibly poor dental care in general, we regretted our decision after every visit. This is a dental factory, with the only concern being to cram as many patients into their chairs as possible. Do not be fooled by their well designed, high tech looking office. My teeth were REALLY messed up when I first visited. In just less than 3 months in, people started noticing a big difference. I think I'm halfway through my treatment and my teeth look great! I have always been self concious of my smile, but not anymore. I have the clear braces, most people dont even notice them. Im in and out in less than half an hour, which is very nice. Although very friendly, I have to agree with prior comments regarding fraud. I was recommended to Dr. Newman by my child's dentist. When I was at in the office, it felt like being at a car dealership. The lady that worked with me seemed very nice, but very persistent. The person let me know that I had to pay a fee for "records". I feel that they are your records and unless you ask for them to take them elsewhere, you should not be charged for them. Isn't it enough with all you're going to have to pay for the treatment? I tried another place for a second opinion and they took "records" as well and I was not charged one cent, so let's see who's honest. read more

I had the unfortunate experience of being recommended to this office. After my daughter wearinf braces for a while, and paying I was told by several other dentist and orthodontist that she was prematurely given braces. My daughter needs four teeth removed and two root canals which should have been done before Dr. Newman bonded her braces. He never brought this to my attention prior to putting them on. It wasn't until her first adjustment that he recommended that I have four teeth pulled. Duh, she has the braces already. Wish he were forthcoming with this info. To make a long story short. My daughter still has crooked teeth and I'm now paying for endodontic services and a hefty oral surgeon bill. Thanks Dr. Newman for your world class service.
