I attempted to unlock the doors of one of my vacant renovations and found that none of my keys…read moreworked the knob lock. I was trying to beat the freeze snap that came about this week and rather than destroy the lock with a pair of large channel locks....and hoping not to destroy the metal door wood matrix filler....I found D&K Lock and Key in Yelp and made contact within 10 minutes of posting. Arrangements were made for the owner, Daniel Barber to come out yesterday afternoon to perform a lock out service as well as rekey the exterior locks. The total cost for the service was more than reasonable rather than buying new locks along with gaining entry into the house. Not that I peeking over Daniel's shoulder to steal any trade secrets...but watching an expert at work to gain entry without and damage to the door or wear and tear on the knob lock was something to watch. Within the hour of his arrival, he was done...having rekeyed all of the dead bolts and knob locks. While he was in his truck, I turned on the furnace for the upcoming freeze for the next few nights; checked on a few things that need to be addressed and ready to return with tools and materials to start re-vamping the house. Response time was outstanding. Professional lock out service was also outstanding. The value of the work and total savings given the alternative made for a good day on the jobsite. Thanks to Yelp and their client contacting services....that task was completed in record time and still on schedule. Thanks to Daniel Barber and D&K Lock & Key for not only being on time and on quote....but he's a good Christian man that I would trust on any job.

I stopped by the day after Christmas for two reasons. 1. I needed a new house key cut, 2. I needed…read morenew keys cut for a tonneau cover for which the keys were lost. I don't remember the gentleman's name but he cut my house key then spent the next 30-45 mins doing all he could to either find a key that fit or pick the lock. Unfortunately, he was unsuccessful with both. When I asked what I owed him, he responded, "You don't owe me anything. I wasn't able to get into the lock." He wouldn't let me pay him for cutting the other key. I thought that was pretty dope.

$400 "professional" installation. The job was a simple a deadbolt install and he did so so much…read moredamage to our door. We reached out to the company multiple times afterward with no response. Obviously we would never use this company again. Edit: response is just not true. We were told an in frame bracket would be a lot more and wouldn't be worth it as long as we were comfortable the bracket not being flush. The tech ended up hammering the door and not properly screwing in the hardware making any future work a lot more complicated. It was a new deadbolt install, the tech cut the door to prep the install, there would be no reason the purchased lock isn't compatible. The tech even made the mistake of cutting an incorrect hole which he said he would deliver a plug and never did. It's clear the finished work isn't properly done, the initial agreement on it being flush within the frame is something else. We tried to reach out many times via email and cell after since we felt a $50 refund did not resolve our issue and we wanted to work with you offline. You haven responded to any calls or emails in months but responded to this review in a matter of minutes ?

Safety issue couldn't open back door of business.... horrible and very unprofessional. They might come and break in afterwards is how I felt when asking questions about the lock they installed.
