The young man, Adrian, was so knowledgeable and respectful in explaining my options. We were going to just get the data off the old ( because one drive blew it in having a back up of our files, so that would be another $60 ) and buy a new system..integrated, desktop, or laptop. I used chatgpt to compare & contrast dell vs HP etc for under $1000. It gave me some specs to work with. I did not know Computertech rebuilt regular computers, only high-end gaming systems, as a Value Added Reseller... VAR So when I went back to take them the drive for migrating data, I heard Adrian talking to another customer about computers they were getting in. 20 min later I was so excited to learn I could get a computer that mapped my specs and would be $500 and instead of $60 to get the data and I install it all, time is money, they could do an entire migration and set up a real back up to my external drive for $120. So instead of $800 for a system, wait 2 weeks for delivery, spend hours frustratingly moving data over and setting up, in 1 week I had replaced my system...better than before, and out of pocket all in $650. Justin was the tech that professionally migrated and set the system up. We aren't gaming and doing big stuff so an HP Elite Desk 16MB memory, 8th Gen I5, and 500 GB SSD, MS 11 and Wi-Fi etc. Highly recommend

The approval for the repairs was given. Within less than 72 hours I was notified that the computer was repaired and ready for pickup. Before leaving ComputerTech I was shown that a basically dead computer was now super fast. I brought my Dell laptop to 1010Computers because it would not power on. After the repair, the…read morelaptop worked, but I later discovered it was running on a 128GB SSSTC SSD--a very small, low-end drive I never authorized or discussed with the shop. When I asked for clarification, the business stated they had diagnostic photos, hardware inventory screenshots, and a detailed report proving the SSD was already in the machine at the time of service. I requested copies multiple times. They did not provide a single photo, screenshot, or document. The customer portal they referenced contained only an invoice and the laptop's serial number. When I asked again for the documentation they claimed existed, the shop refused to send it and insisted they would no longer communicate in writing. They stated that any further discussion must take place only in person, which prevents any verifiable record. At no point did they provide the evidence needed to confirm their claims. My review is based entirely on written communication and the business's refusal to provide the diagnostic documentation they repeatedly referenced.
