I brought my Dell laptop to 1010Computers because it would not power on. After the repair, the laptop worked, but I later discovered it was running on a 128GB SSSTC SSD--a very small, low-end drive I never authorized or discussed with the shop. When I asked for clarification, the business stated they had diagnostic photos, hardware inventory screenshots, and a detailed report proving the SSD was already in the machine at the time of service. I requested copies multiple times. They did not provide a single photo, screenshot, or document. The customer portal they referenced contained only an invoice and the laptop's serial number. When I asked again for the documentation they claimed existed, the shop refused to send it and insisted they would no longer communicate in writing. They stated that any further discussion must take place only in person, which prevents any verifiable record. At no point did they provide the evidence needed to confirm their claims. My review is based entirely on written communication and the business's refusal to provide the diagnostic documentation they repeatedly referenced. read more

On October 30, 2025, I brought my HP Spectre x360 ​​laptop which had a flickering screen, to their office (ticket #9325). I paid $50 for a diagnostic check. On November 13, they sent me an email stating that they had run tests but found nothing, and that opening the case was required for further investigation. However, claiming that the screws were in poor condition, they demanded $80 for this procedure. Only for opening the case! I realized that I was dealing with scammers. I had previously opened the laptop case myself without any issues when replacing the battery, following instructions I found on YouTube. I immediately retrieved my laptop from them and, acting on advice I found online, connected it to my smart TV. The image on the television screen did not flicker. The diagnosis took all of three minutes. Subsequently, I purchased a new screen for $150 on Amazon and replaced it myself, again following instructions from YouTube. You have the pay for a diagnostic when they can clearly see what's wrong with. all you gotta do is look up the model number and order the parts and give a accurate estimate. all that takes literally 20 seconds to do Also You have to give up your password for them to dig through your computer for a " software scan " which is not needed and it's added unnecessary labor which we have to pay for. Another thing they claimed they ran test for all the hardware components and that's not what i asked for ....but it's extra labor. all the hardware is just the keys and some interior stuff that they don't need to be messing with...they do way too much just to tell me a price for a screen replacement. I will ALWAYS use and refer 1010 Computers! Let me tell you a little story. My son was turning 18 and I wanted to gift him with a video of the 18 best men I know giving a minute or two of advice as he entered into manhood. I wanted the last man on the video to be his father. His father passed away in 2009 and we hadn't seen video of him or heard his voice for years. I had a video of him on an old broken computer, but had no idea that it could even be retrieved. So, I lugged the old desktop into 1010 computers about 3 weeks before my son's birthday. They said it would take 30 days to complete the retrieval process with no guarantee it would still be on there. I paid the fee to have it done in 2 weeks and held my breath. I just had to have his father as a part of this video! I explained why I was in such a hurry and felt like the entire store was invested in the recovery of my files. SEVEN DAYS LATER they were done! I took the hard drive home and was so nervous the video wouldn't be there, but guess what?! It was!!! 1010 Computers saved the day!! Brought in my laptop for a battery replacement and the service was great! They gave me an accurate quote about the cost of the battery & repair and did a complimentary cleaning before returning the laptop (looks better than it has in a while!). They gave me an incredibly detailed email about everything they did with the laptop and listed line by line what each charge was for. Never tried to upsell me or do services that I did not want. The staff were super nice and helpful and gave me advice as to how to extend the life of my new battery. The repair also has a 30-day warranty with them so if there are any issues I can bring it back. So far so good! I highly recommend them. read more

Time consuming and a money pit for customers. I brought my PC in which I had already identified that the motherboard was broken in it. It took them 3 day to tell me the same thing. They ordered me an "replacement or comparable" motherboard. The shipping took 8 business days. They had my computer to fix one part for 2 weeks and 2 days. When I went to pick up my PC they had replaced my Asus ROG Maximus motherboard, Originally priced when bought at 350$ current value on sites is 275$, with a gigabyte ga-z270n-gaming 5 worth 120$. They charged me 350$ with the installation of the motherboard. I talked to management about this and pointed out that these boards are not comparable in specs or features and only got talked down to. I even pointed out his condescending attitude and he told me I was wrong. The product in question if far from comparable in price, features, and specs. I paid 1010 computers 350$ to get my 270$ motherboard replaced for a 120$ motherboard. Definitely would not recommend this company to anyone. read more
