They ask about $50 Deposit for your next appointment, but when we came the deposit just disappeared, and administrator said that she know nothing about it. They just wanted me to pay again this amount. 2. Teeth Cleaning: after visit we found that we still have dental plaque in the mounth. The quality of cleaning was awful 3. The doctor wanted to extract 4 (four!) healthy teeth just without any reasons for it. 4. The doctor doesn't recognize the reason of inflamation and decided to make biopsy when there wasn't need in that. 5. Administrator is not friendly and never smiled for two visits we have. If you want to risk anyway and visit this dentistry, you will be disappointed and you will spend your and insurance money for poor quality service.

So I was at a hobby lobby waiting to buy some yarn so I can finally finish my husband's codpiece for a costume we're working on. I looked over to see a cute little boy grabbing for some candy-while his mom kept saying no! Although I lost my teeth due to an autoimmune disorder-I let the child know that he did not need the candy or he would lose his teeth. He gave me a disgruntled look and went about his business while Mom thanked me. He would occasionally look over at me just to *make sure* I knew that I ruined his candy grab. This is when I took the opportunity to adjust my denture, although I never really need to adjust it because it's a perfect fit, but I needed to drive my point home had the kid been able to tell that my teeth were fake- this would have never worked out! And truthfully, every day of my life is better because I have teeth that look real and feel natural- today was just a funny situation that I wanted to share. I meet a lot of people that can really use the services at Summit, although it makes for very awkward conversation if they don't know about my situation- but you're obviously reading the reviews for a reason so I'll tell you what sealed the deal for me. I am certainly no stranger to dentists and all things dental related. My patience had been at the end of the line before I met Dr Calloway. He listened carefully, he understood my very complicated situation, and presented me with a plan. At the time I was working with several other dentists who just weren't hitting the mark for me. I was quick to throw Calloway at the top of my list just based on our very straightforward initial consultations. It was shortly after this thought when Dr Calloway leaned back into his counter with his arms crossed and a massive grin and told me something like "I can't wait to give you the perfect set of teeth" Although we're still working towards a full denture, my interim piece is pretty amazing. Of course there's always an adjustment period-but it didn't take very long for me to get back to a normal routine. I mean as nice of an experience as one can have getting their teeth scraped on a dreary winter day. It's been my dentist for about six years now, and I've had good experiences across the board. Gentle hygienists, punctual appointments, and they've since updated their X-rays to be the easier metal ones vs. the old bitewings! Here's their Covid-specific measures since that's top of mind for many: Wear a mask when you come in. They have you fill out a simple form to mark off for any Covid symptoms, have a robot temperature check, and have a staff member take your temp as well. The staff has double masks and face shields. You keep your mask until they start cleaning your teeth, at which point they give you a mouthwash cup that you swish for 30+ seconds. Minimal conversation which is great since your mouth is being worked on anyway, and this specific hygienist I had today was on the ball and efficient. Much better dental office than others we've been to over the years!

I moved away from Kansas City for two years and still made the two hour drive just to come back here for my dental work. Dr Bucher is awesome to work with and really knows what he's doing. When I had a rare allergy to the filling material, he knew exactly what to do, and fixed it within 24 hours. His staff is always friendly and willing to work with you. The waiting area may be 'old fashioned,' but the equipment they use is just as modern as anywhere else you'd go.

Experience being the key word... Dr. Knewtson was tasked with placing 4 implants and making a horseshoe implant supported denture for me after I had some poorly fitted crowns with a well known nationwide dentistry that had failed. He was direct and he was very patient with my needs which to me was massively important !!! No matter what frustration I had (and believe me I had issues) Dr. Knewtson remained patient and professional until my final procedure was completed successfully. Simply he did his job and he did his job well. The end result is what matters the most. Would I recommend him? ...absolutely!!! I have never had any issues since the whole procedure was done. The only sad thing I can actually say is that Dr. Knewtson is no longer in the Springfield MO area. I think however a 4hr drive for his services would be well worth it. If you want direct...if you want patient...If you want experience...if you want professional...if you want the job doing right ... Dr. Knewtson quietly wears each one of these descriptions very well !!! Don't let his reasonable and competitive cost interfere with your decision...seriously that is just a BIG BONUS !!! Later my therapist told me she went to a dentist who told her she would lose all her teeth if she didn't do scaling. She went back to her old dentist in Pasadena CA he told her it was not true they just wanted her money. She referred me to that dentist he was fair never asked for anything extra and was Always upfront with all cost. I needed an alignment after moving to KC was referred to Dentures plus. The staff gave alignment had me sign no warranty or money back right before getting alignment. I asked about regular cleaning I was told they absolutely could not do a cleaning without my dental records from CA I paid to have them sent . It turns out they meant scaling which I had not decided I wanted yet. I feel they wanted money. I may need the scaling but I didn't wish to be pushed into it and the regular cleaning wasn't even an option. Now I need to have a tooth looked at but I'm afraid to go back to them. Are there any dentists out there that are fair and not only interested in money?

Unfortunately, every routine visit I was being told "we need to do some preventive maintenance." This led to what I feel was 6 pointless root canals and 6 crowns on some of my back teeth. Unfortunately it took me 6 root canals, 6 crowns and thousands of dollars before I realized this guy was just extracting money out of me! I have since been told by multiple dentists that root canals are not "preventive maintenance." I am now dealing with the aftermath of having so many crowns and root canals on my teeth leading to costing me even more thousands of dollars to have them replaced and even a couple pulled and tossed in the trash. Save yourself your teeth and your money! Do extensive research on the dentist you choose.
