Although their premiums were higher than other companies that covered hereditary conditions, we chose Nationwide due to their reputation and being assured coverage hereditary conditions that are not preexisting. We enrolled Max first, then Hooper a year later. After many years of paying premiums, Max was diagnosed with a heart murmur. Despite this, Nationwide refused to cover his treatment, now claiming that hereditary conditions typical for this breed were excluded. When we tried to appeal, our requests were met with little response and repeated denials.

I contacted their insurance claims department, Gretchen Johnson is the claims adjuster handling the claim. I spoke to her once. After that I go to her voice mail every time. I spoke to one of her team members. I filed the statement of what happened. I sent a diagram of the collision. I have called 2 X week since the accident. The team member I last talked to said they were awaiting their insured's statement. I asked how long do I have to await their insured's statement before I get my car repaired? They did not answer me. Now, every time I call I get voice mail, or I get unending music. No person ever picks up. I hate to get an attorney, if one will even take a $1200. claim. But, if one of their insured hits your vehicle, they are not about letting you get resolution. If a safe auto insurance customer hits your vehicle GET AN ATTORNEY IMMEDIATELY.
