They delivered a barrel to a associate of mine, during the delivery them truck rip off someone's light wire and cost a electrical fire on the pole. The driver took no responsibility for the damage done to the persons house but instead told the old lady they were delivering the barrel to that she would be responsible for it. I sent three barrels with Dennis Company on March 7, 2024 they came and picked up the barrels on time which was good and I paid for door to door service. On April 2, 2024 they delivered the barrels at my house in Jamaica after they left my family video to show me what was in the barrels I noticed that things were missing from the barrels. I sent 24 Ensure in each barrels when we got the barrels only 12 Ensures were in each barrel and each barrel has 8 small bottles of oil (64ounces) only 4 were in each barrel. Super fast shipping (2 weeks to Guyana ), representative called reminding you of the pickup time and when they're on their way. This type of service ensures reliability and timely pickup. Shipped a few barrels with Dennis Shipping and I can't believe the dishonesty of the staff. Like with any package you know how to track right. For me I have worked in the shipping industry for years so I know how to track the ship, container etc. From NY to Jamaica it took just 1 week and the barrels reached on the 31st Oct. Days after no call from Dennis Shipping.So my sister called and they told her the barrels didn't arrive and that it was expected on Nov 5th and after it will be stripped and made ready for collection. We tracked some more then realized the ship is already in another country. When we finally got a call from Dennis Shipping it was Nov 6th and they said the ship arrived Nov 5th and that storage will start on November 8th. How the hell is that possible that the so called ship arrived on a Friday , you call on the Saturday and storage starts the Monday. LIES. The barrels reached for over a week and they didn't call. So on the Saturday of the call the agent in Jamaica gave my sister a date to pick up the barrels on the 19th of November WHAT. Be mindful of all the dates I already gave people. So 2 weeks more of additional storage. The agent said Kingston Wharves /Port in Jamaica gave her those dates. Again LIES. I have a friend in the system who told me that you can actually make an appointment for yourself with Kingston Wharves. My sister went online booked an appointment for the 10th Nov. My tenant has used them for years. Recently a worker was careless with the shipment and damaged the new staircase floors which were recently installed. When I called the Company they explained the tenant signed paperwork saying they were not responsible. This tenant is 86 years old and never signed anything before. It was only after he saw what involved that he had her sign this disclaimer. This was not the normal pickup crew. My tenant also commented how rude he was. I have used dennis shipping for years and they have provided me great service, of which i couldn't say anything but great things, because that was my experience. until yesterday October 5, 2020. a pick-up which was to be done, it was a Barrel and Box(28"×33"×69") the driver refused to do take the Box saying, it will not be able to fit the stairs (36"wide). I was told all this by the person that was doing this transaction on my behalf. I called the Utica Ave. Office to voice my concern, only to be ridiculed by the person on the other end of the phone. I started identifying myself giving her my information, she replied saying, slow down, the system is not working and I can't go any faster. I went to tell what was told to me, she replied saying, "you are talking as if you was there, I can't take your word until I talk to the driver." I told her, I am calling you because I have a concern are you going to help me to take care it. She said, "you are talking as if you were there, and I will not be taking your word for it until I talk to the driver. " and she keep repeating that unil i end the conversation.
