In addition, I had 2 custom rings made for some loose stones that I own. One ring didn't turn out how imaged and the staff took it back and turned it into the ring of my dreams without an extra charge. I want to start by saying that this review is in no way towards Denny Lesser and his legacy. But unfortunately there is new management now and he and his employee are ruining this once beautiful business. My mother has been coming here for 40 years, as well as the rest of her family. And Denny has always been incredible at what he does and makes you feel like family. My mom brought my brother's earring in (he lost one) to make a duplicate and Raz (new owner) said he would do it. After 3 months of waiting and over pricing he all of a sudden said it couldn't be done. We spoke to my family friend who is also a jeweler and they were shocked and said it could easily be done and would take on the job. My mom brought this up to Raz and he said that would probably be a good idea. Literally fine with us going to a new jeweler after being here for 40 years, showing he clearly doesn't value his customers. On top of that, his main employee Charlotte is absolutely awful. So rude and unprofessional. She will hang up on you, ignore your calls to pickup your jewelry (to the point we had to call on a different phone for her to answer). My mom went in today for her earrings and she said "I have no idea where they are" and my mom said "what do you mean? You're the one who called me that they're ready" and she said she had no idea. Luckily Denny went and got them in the back. She had the rudest look on her face towards my mom that it shocked me. She was just so mean and I can't imagine how she got a job in customer service. Anyways, before this turns into a rant which it may have already, we are done with this place. I've told my mom to accept this is no longer the same establishment it once was and does not have that family charm anymore. Took an Ebel watch to get new battery. I asked him if he had experience in changing batteries for Ebel. He said yes. He broke the stem off the crown and said it is not a better issue. It is the stem. The watch has been worn less than 15 times in two years. He also bent the second hand. What upset me was his dishonesty in not admitting causing the damage. My wife and I visited today. My wife being a retired Jeweler is very critical of merchandise price and service. First, Denny took us right away and replaced the battery in her watch. While we were waiting, my wife began to look over the Jewelry. She immediately saw a necklace she liked, which never happens and asked about it.. Denny was very helpful showing us the piece. I admired a watch but didn't get to ask about it as we were in a hurry. Later in the afternoon, I went back for the necklace, it is too good a Mother's Day gift to pass up. At least 7 years ago, I bought a watch battery with my debit card. The battery price was less than the minimum atm charge so Danny recommended I pay for two and gave me a signed card showing evidence. A couple weeks ago we went in to replace the battery and have some charms put on our necklaces. When I went to pay, they said don't worry about it.
