Dennys is a nice place that has delicious food of all sorts. I like this place because almost every truck stop that I furl up at has it. The most delicious plate plate that I order, is bourbon chicken substituted with Ribeye meat with an extra meat. But however, this time I got denver omelet with hash brows and instead of toast I got two sunny side eggs. It was pretty filling and delicious. The dinner inside has lots of space and many seating so space is enough fir everybody. The stuff there is very nice. The waitress lady was coming up to me and asking if everything alright every 5 minutes. I didn't want long for the food maybe also around 5 minutes. So all I can say about this place is great service clean dinning place and very nice service.

My review is based on the wonderful and attentive service my family and I received at the Sayre, OK Denny's. We were on a road trip and stopped at the Denny's for brunch. Denny's has the typical breakfast staples and we all know it's pretty hard to mess up breakfast. Food was average. Our wonderful waitress name was Jennifer. She was friendly as she seated us and throughout our visit. She checked on us regularly and ensured our drinks were always full. She joked with the kids and made them laugh. She was kind and attentive and we truly appreciated the service.

Denny's is apparently animal friendly, especially on hot days.

Great food. Amazing server and clean restaurant to be at a truck stop. The Oven Baked Lasagne and Mozzarella Sticks were pretty amazing.

Worst experience at a restaurant in a very long while. Didn't bring out half of our order, waited forever on the waitress. Do not recommend.

From the outside, the branding leans heavily into the Route 66 identity--logos are everywhere, setting the expectation for a nostalgic roadside dining experience. Stepping inside, however, the atmosphere takes a different direction. Rather than embracing classic Americana, the décor feels modern, highlighted by whimsical cow artwork adorned with flower crowns. It's charming in its own way, but not the vintage Route 66 ambiance I was expecting. One thing that deserves high praise is the cleanliness. The café is immaculate, from the dining room to the overall presentation, reflecting a team that clearly takes pride in maintaining the restaurant. The food, unfortunately, was less memorable. The oatmeal was overly thick and dry, lacking the creamy comfort you'd expect. Buttered toast carried an off flavor, suggesting the griddle or butter station could use a refresh. The signature pancake, dusted with a powdered sugar "66" logo, was visually appealing and easily the meal's most Instagram-worthy item, but it too was disappointingly dense. Where Cafe 66 truly shines is its service. Every staff member I encountered was warm, welcoming, and eager to help first-time visitors feel at home. Their hospitality left the strongest impression of the visit. In my opinion, Cafe 66 seems to be transitioning away from being a destination built on Route 66 nostalgia and toward becoming a dependable neighborhood café for the Clinton community. There's nothing wrong with that--in fact, it's probably the more sustainable business model. But travelers seeking an authentic trip back in time may leave feeling that the iconic branding promises more nostalgia than the dining experience ultimately delivers.

Steak was very flavorful and cooked to perfection (medium rare) Cole slaw was delicious as well. Hush puppies were good- just wanted to try them out. My wife has celiac so she had Reuben with no bread. She loved it! Our server was very considerate and friendly and even checked all ingredients for my wife. We haven't found many places that we want to return to around here but we definitely will be coming back to this place! I'll admit, I may have built this place up a little too much in my mind. The Route 66 nostalgia is absolutely outstanding. From the vintage gas pumps outside to the classic diner décor inside, it's a fun place to visit if you're traveling the Mother Road. The restaurant wasn't busy, so we were seated immediately. Our server, Arisa, was friendly, welcoming, and kept our drinks filled throughout the meal. One funny moment--I thought this was one of the Oklahoma Passport stamp locations, but it turns out I had confused it with the original Lucille's in Weatherford. Since Weatherford was on our return trip, I eventually got my passport stamped there instead! As many of you know, one of my personal quests is finding the ultimate Chicken Fried Steak, so that's what I ordered with corn and coleslaw. It certainly wasn't bad...it just wasn't memorable. The steak was tender enough, but the breading and gravy didn't have the flavor I was hoping for. It's not something I'd order again. The coleslaw was an even bigger disappointment. The flavor was simply off, and after a couple of bites I pushed it aside. I also tried the blue lemonade because it looked fun and refreshing. Unfortunately, it had almost no flavor. I'm normally a 95% water drinker, but every now and then I'll treat myself to lemonade or a soda. This one just wasn't worth finishing. Arisa happily exchanged it without hesitation, and I appreciated her taking care of it so quickly. My wife definitely won lunch. She ordered the catfish with fries and mac & cheese. The catfish was crispy, flaky, and delicious. The fries were cooked just the way we like them, and even I'll admit the mac & cheese was better than most restaurant versions I've tried. She even shared a catfish fillet and more fries than I probably needed! Overall, I'd give Lucille's Roadhouse 3 stars. The food was a mixed bag, but the nostalgia, spotless restaurant, friendly service, and fun Route 66 atmosphere made it a worthwhile stop. I'd certainly come back--but next time I'd order something different. My only real complaint beyond the meal was finding the restaurant. The GPS directions were surprisingly confusing, and getting there was far more difficult than it should have been. If you're traveling Route 66, Lucille's is still worth a stop for the experience alone. Just know that, at least on this visit, the atmosphere outshined my lunch. Chef T's Scorecard * Food: 3/5 * Service: 5/5 (Thank you, Arisa!) * Atmosphere: 5/5 * Value: 4/5 * Overall: I do think this is one of those places that deserves a second chance. Next visit, I'd skip the Chicken Fried Steak and blue lemonade and give one of their burgers, barbecue, or another house specialty a try.
