Dan and I stayed at a Wyndham in Sayre and we got take out from Denny's. I thought the menu was a little limited. I almost got wild caught salmon salmon, but then it occurred to me that if it was wild caught and on the 55+ menu for $10, it was probably frozen and I'm not fond of frozen Salmon. Dennys is Dennys. Normal food at good prices. I was surprised how good the steak was. I have had worse steak and eggs at twice the price. The service was really good. This is in a rest stop with nice bathrooms and I think you can shower. Lots of things to buy, T-shirts. Jackets, snacks, things for your car. Visited Denny's #8613 in Sayre, OK on Dec 8, 2025. The server Enrique D, who claimed to be the manager, was extremely rude and unprofessional. He refused to apply a valid promo code from my app and also denied the AARP discount without any explanation. The total was $34.57, and the discounts should have been honored. Cool service and good food. Everyone was pleasant and friendly. Good ole, trusty Dennys. Which is a pretty good standby option if you're hungry plus this one is at a travel center truck stop. So not only is it Dennys, it's an entire store with just about everything you can think you may want or need if a Walmart is not available. So come on in and relax, eat, shower, get fuel, restroom, cold drinks, ice, coffee, load cards, cash checks, warm up your leftovers from somewhere else, take a nap, get some fruit. Dennys is a nice place that has delicious food of all sorts. I like this place because almost every truck stop that I furl up at has it. The most delicious plate plate that I order, is bourbon chicken substituted with Ribeye meat with an extra meat. But however, this time I got denver omelet with hash brows and instead of toast I got two sunny side eggs. It was pretty filling and delicious. The dinner inside has lots of space and many seating so space is enough fir everybody. The stuff there is very nice. The waitress lady was coming up to me and asking if everything alright every 5 minutes. I didn't want long for the food maybe also around 5 minutes. So all I can say about this place is great service clean dinning place and very nice service. read more

Terrible service, our server was great but manager is unprofessional. Half our original order did not come out until about 35 min later. Then she called out her server for being new. Also while charging us for items that are included with items we ordered. To top it off we were charged for 2 sides of eggs we werent given and told we were getting a discount. Great food. Amazing server and clean restaurant to be at a truck stop. The Oven Baked Lasagne and Mozzarella Sticks were pretty amazing.

We are always on the road and stop by here every other week (not too many other places to park a semi).. The food is always low quality and skimpy. There is always an issue with our order but tonight was too much. We were served soggy molded bread and didn't notice it until we started to eat it Absolutely disgusting. We feel sick to our stomachs. Never giving them another chance. The Host was very friendly but not enough to make up for the trash cook. Took 1 hour for 3 plates, and came out cold. Cheese not even melted on the eggs. Waitress was too busy goofing off with other staff to care to serve warm food, lady who I assume was the mgr, that was asked to remove the plate from the check, wiped her nose and mouth with her hand 3 times before then walking to the kitchen... We have stopped here 4 times on road trips for breakfast or lunch because the food was not your average Denny's. My chicken was rubbery no one came back to offer us more coffee they didn't have our check so I had to pay for someone else's so I saved $5 but that didn't make up for the poor service. I don't give one star out lightly. As we walked in, we were greeted immediately as the restaurant was not very busy. We were seated at a booth and next to our table, I observed three people at a nearby table and an old dog laying on the floor. The dog was hacking but was mostly sleeping when we sat down. We were greeted by our server shortly after being seated. Once she came to our table, she asked if we wanted to be moved because of the dog. We told her we would hold out where we were at, which we did for the duration of our meal. We enjoy animals so we did not mind. Let me paint the picture in regards to the dog and the weather. It was extremely hot outside, in the mid to upper 90's. This did not appear to be a service or therapy dog due to its age and the lack of being marked as such. It was simply not appropriate for the dog to be left in a vehicle with the heat, so the travelers brought the dog in as they were in a vehicle towing a U-Haul trailer. The lessor of the two evils. The staff at Denny's allowed the dog to be in the restaurant, which again, me personally I'm okay with it but I'd never do it. The annoying part is, the lady seated next to the dog kept feeding the dog her burger and other things. Staff noticed but said nothing. The trio constantly complained about their food and I think the dog ate just as much as they did. Okay, one to the server who was doing milkshake shooters. We were seated in such a way we could see the milkshakes being made. One server would make a milkshake and after pouring the contents into a glass, the remainder she would down right there in front of the restaurant. The kitchen staff did a poor job with our orders. The burger my spouse ordered came with onions when she asked for her burger to be without. My Ceasar Salad was drowning in the dressing! Also, we originally asked for two glasses of water which never were refilled. And, our server never removed our appetizer plate even after bring our dinner plates. Not to mention, 20 minutes for 6 cheese sticks seems a bit long. My spouse also ordered extra mayo which never did show up. Finding a good Denny's seems to be tough anymore. Denny's was quick to discount the folks with the dog but we paid full price. Our server was nice but needed to be schooled on multitasking and how to be a server. I don't know how they survive there when it gets busy!! Only a third of the restaurant was full during our stay. We will never return to this Denny's and I could not recommend it. Sadly, many of these restaurants have potential but so many are in need of management and staff changes. I don't totally fault our server and she was called in several directions and I think serving the trucker lounge at the same time. But don't tell us you'll bring something and then don't and then even comment that we might have to remind her. I have a suggestion, write it down! If you need a pen, I normally carry one and I would have given up my napkin to write on if needed. read more

I was hangry after given no food. My family and I stopped to get lunch before heading out to continue to travel. We where unattended as soon as we walked in the door. Once seated we got our drinks and was told we would get our food Asap so we don't have to wait to long. Unfortunately we waited and waited and at the end they tell us they are sorry but our food was never made! I have 3 little kids with me looking forward to a simple lunch, and they where wanting to have us wait for more time until our food is made lol I asked to get anything they had made and give it to me to go so i can at least feed my kids. They still lagged it so I grabbed a to go lunch they had, something they didn't understand and do. Don't waste your time here if you are traveling or in general. Like other reviewers , My opinion is that this Denny's is not up to par. Not even close. It's not a busy place and I understand why. I ordered a Tuscan Chicken Club and my husband ordered the House Salad with the Wild Alaskan Salmon. The chicken on my club was as dry as the desert and tough to chew. I ended up picking apart my sandwich because the lettuce was soggy, the tomatoes seemed like they were closing in on their expiration date and the pickles were mushy (my pregnant self loves pickles, not these). It was obvious that my chicken was cooked LONG before I ever arrived at Denny's and thrown on my sandwich cold. Cooked fresh, the sandwich is supposed to be served hot or warm, nope! I got old cold chicken on my Tuscan... $10 wasted on garbage. My husbands salad was somehow just as poorly made. Old veges (cucumbers and lettuce) the croutons and the cheese were stale. Holy hell, the salmon was obviously precooked and days old, also thrown on as a dried-out, cold "topping". $9 wasted on garbage. None of what we ordered was made even remotely fresh. I'd barely classify it as microwaved. Never again will I stop at any Denny's in the state of Oklahoma. $33 wasted on GARBAGE. Server was nice though. read more

Get a snack at stripes and keep going. Dirty , poor service , fair food. This is just about the only place except the golden arch to stop at hauling a trailer . So we said we will give it a try. Our server was friendly but quickly dissonance was not seen for along time . Once we got our drinks , gone again , someone else took our order. No substitutions which made things hard . Greeted immediately, it was clean and our food was great and hot! I asked for extra crispy hash browns and for the first time in my life they were extra crispy and delicious. We asked for a high chair and a rag to clean it off and the server cleaned it for us from head to toe. No complaints from us! read more

I will never eat at a Denny's ever again. Seems everytime I go to one, I have to use the John very quickly after I've ate at one. This is the most stops I've ever had to make from Sayre to okc. I suggest across the street or eat the food from flying J. I usually say that these are just my own opinions, but I suggest elsewhere. Only reason I rated this is because the server was nice.
