The servers need to be more aware of there surroundings. We get there and sit down and our waitress came back every single min to see if we were ready to order instead of reading the conversation with giving us more then a min to decide also she never came back to check on us once we got our food. Kept messing up on our order not bringing everything out that we ordered wasn't very fast on offering more coffee and it was cold and old. The place wasn't very clean it could be cause it was around 7 so maybe they had a dinner rush. So it wasn't dirty dirty just need to clean tables off better and swap the floors. So let's just say that we walk in and the workers looked annoyed that we came in. The waitress asks us, "booth or table?" We stated table due to having 5 members including myself in our party. The waitress points at this middle table, (it's completely dirty) so then the bus boy cleaning the tables starts cleaning it while we stand there. Granted if it was extremely packed I would have understood. But there were maybe 5 other people in this restaurant. So as we are standing at the table waiting to be seated, the waitress takes our drink order. (I wish I got her name because she was not pleasant.) I personally ordered the "build your own grand slam" I got white toast, hash browns, and bacon. It took about 20ish minutes for the food to come out. (I'm not complaining about the wait. It was fine) but all I could notice and taste was grease upon grease. (Yes I know, eating at a diner you're guaranteed grease.) but it was BEYOND. So as we get our plates, we notice we do not have any silverware. So my dad gets up and grabs some silverware and my mom was asking if any of us needed silverware. And from that the waitress turned around and rolled her eyes at us. I forgot to mention. The waitress was just a table over doing the silverware. Back to what I was saying. So about 15 minutes later, she gets up from doing her silverware and asks us if we were finished. She hands the check to my dad when we stated we were finished. We go up to pay and my dad asks if there is a military discount due to him being a veteran. And they stated yes, but the manager has to come approve the transaction. So the waitress yells can you get the manager(forgot his name) and her coworker states well he's outside what do they want. And she yells back, they need approval for military discount. So the other woman goes outside and grabs the manager. So the manager finishes the transaction, and we head on out. P.S. the waitress never asked if we wanted refills, and one of our members got all you can eat pancakes. Never once got asked if she wanted more. I order pickup a lot and get the same thing every time I'm there. I order a build your own veggie burger on a wheat bun with avocado and no cheese. Almost always my burger feels cool and at most I get a small sliver of avocado and a lot of the times it's covered in dark spots. There have been times I'm there to pick my food up and I have to wait 15-20 (and one time 50 minutes!) to even get someone up at the front to talk to me and retrieve my order that has been sitting on the bar getting cold. They always tell me they're short staffed but when I look around the waiters and waitresses are chatting and getting coffee and don't seem to look like they're in a hurry or are trying to speed things up to help you. I love going to Denny's. I have read some of the reviews and I have to say, the food is almost always right and if not then they will make it right! There isn't a place on earth you will go and it always be right. If your picky eat at home lol because everyone makes mistakes. That's how we all learn by making mistakes. So to all the Denny's (and everyone else) out there keep up the great work because I know it's a struggle. Some people don't realize how hard it is to serve 500+ people in 6-8 hours and trying to get the food out in 15 minutes or less. So I'm hats about 50-60 people per cook per hour if they have 5 cooks. I've waited almost an hour but guess what they were busy so did I complain? NO! If your in a hurry don't go to a sit down diner especially one that is most always busy! read more

It was pretty bad. Service was slow but only for us. The servers were more attentive to the regulars. Ordered loaded seasoned fries. Got regular seasoned fries. Got our order wrong but since it took so long to come out didn't bother sending it back in fear of waiting longer to get it replaced. A lot of complaining from the servers about what prior shift didn't do. Enough to hear across the dining area. Food was decent even if it was wrong, got a salad and asked if I could add onions and cucumbers...no onions and salad was wilted. I know better than to come here and not sit at Gladys's area. She's an older lady but the best one of the bunch. She even left her area and was bringing stuff out for the other servers too busy chatting up the regulars. I hope they get a grip on the bitching the servers do out loud...it's really none of the diners business what the other shift didn't do or did do. Maybe less bitching and more doing your job. first off, a little back info. we work night shift so it's when we aren't in the mood for breakfast food or dont want to go across town.. we don't really have many options. sometimes we choose Denny's. it's always a bad choice and always sit at the booth waiting... and thinking "why did we do this again?" The whole staff seems unorganized and walking around aimlessly and seems to take much longer than it should. unless you're part of the "older regular group". they treat the other customers as if they aren't as important and the wait is much longer due to staff chatting with the regs. this isn't the first time we have had this issue, we come here at least twice a month. it happens every time. today our waitress was Inez , whose name tag says she is some sort of manager so we thought it might be okay. we asked for two ice waters with lemon, loaded season fries to start off with. what we got was water and half a lemon in each glass, and my fries were not loaded. she then took our order also an easy one. sriracha burger with loaded seasoned fries, and a Caesar salad add onion and cucumber. dressing on the side. after about 20 minutes the food arrived after staring at it on the counter for at least 5-10 minutes. once again fries weren't loaded and no onion on a very wilted salad. my girlfriend ended up just picking through it honestly. my burger was warm but otherwise fine. Inez came by the table a total of 5 times. (drinks, bring drinks and order food, bring food, bring refill and check.) I don't usually complain about not seeing the waitress much but this time, it was like we were banished to the corner to be forgotten. watching all the other tables receive decent service and nothing even comparable at ours. overall service sucks, food is mediocre at best and when it's correct. this trip took us 45 minutes to an hour when we were hoping on a quick trip. the one bright star there is a waitress named Gladis(sp). she is probably the oldest waitress there but always gets our food correct, attentive but not too much, and she obviously picks up other staffs slack. today we watched her go to the counter grab two plates of food and take them to the other servers table, in which she was standing around talking. Gladis can seem a little blunt at times but damn does she get it right. finally the only reason you should be going to this Denny's is if you're apart of the regulars , drunk after leaving the bars at 4am, or you don't know any better. even then you're drunk go home, if you don't know any better then do yourself a favor a go to WD's(Washington ave) for a great burger, or old thyme diner for a better breakfast (on main st.) read more
