SUPER DISAPPOINTED! I spent HOURS looking at nationwide searches for my dream car. I couldn't believe my luck when I found it 3 hours away in my home state! I spent from last Sunday to this past Thursday( it's Saturday morning now) scrambling to get the gentleman my documents, explaining my vehicle history, trade options, that I'm far from them and am planning this all out, I reached out for insurance quotes etc.. Thursday at 9am I send photos of my car for the trade quote as I've said all week I'm coming Saturday morning when I'm off from both jobs. I never hear anything back by Friday afternoon, so I send a follow up email just checking the availability as it was a great car and deal. No reply, all business day Friday. So Saturday morning I wake up (to find out the roads are covered in snow) and start my 3 hour journey across the state to this dealership. They open at 9, I called at 9:02 and 9:03, both times their automated system saying they're closed. Luckily I could use the directory to find the salesman I was dealing with, and he answers. I explain that I am en-route and confirming the availability of the vehicle. He says "let me check, put my hands on it and give you a call back," which, fine, although, you knew I was coming, so totally should know it was available or should've been letting me know when it was sold but whatever. I say no problem, and confirm my number, for him to say "OH and you know there's no third row seats, a lot of people have thought there is" ITS BECAUSE THEY ARE FALSELY ADVERTISING THE F*CKING VEHICLE WITH THIRD ROW SEATING!!!!! sooo not only have I come out trekking in the snow for NOTHING, IVE WASTED A WHOLE WEEK OF TIME AND ENERGY FOR NOTHING !!! The sales people are WAY too pushy! My husband and I had just started looking for a new vehicle and told the salesman upfront we weren't looking to purchase ANYTHING that day. I understand how sales work, ya gotta push, but the level this was brought to was uncalled for. Emails after saying "remember me? I'm just making sure you are okay" that's creepy and unnecessary. The salesman didn't know anything about the car we were looking at. The financial guy tried to beg us into buying the car because it would be that salesman's first transaction. (That's not my problem and explains why he didn't know anything about the vehicle) we mentioned we wanted to look at other vehicles there as well but were never given the opportunity. In all honesty the whole experience was just unpleasant. We love Chevy's but can't say we will be purchasing one from here with the experience we had. If anything, it pushed us away more. They sold me a 2017 Chevy Cruze 2 months ago and said they gave it a thorough inspection to make sure everything is in working order. The first heavy rain we got, my check engine light went on and my car battery was dead. Took it in to get it looked at and had 5 inches of water in my trunk which drowned my battery. They told me I needed a new battery and my entire trunk replaced. They then proceeded to keep my car for 3 weeks with little to no communication after calling them nearly every day for updates. I went to go pick it up today and when I started the car, the check engine light is still on. Turned around and brought it right back into service. After three weeks and assurance that it was fixed... it's still not right. This is not a good business to work with. They cut corners to make a dime. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

I had a very poor experience that has led me to decide to never go here again. I had trouble getting my car to start so I dropped it off here and the next day they serviced it. Their diagnosis was that I had a bad negative cable and my battery was dead. I thought this suspicious because my battery was brand new having been replaced 2 months prior at Autozone. When I started to ask questions about the method used to diagnose my problem I was met with answers that did not address my question and often had to ask multiple times. I requested to get my battery back after being replaced so that I could return it to Autozone. When I got to Autozone they tested the battery and it tested to be 100% good. Now I don't want to say that Denooyer lied to me. However I had 3 people look at this (I originally went to Belle Tire and they said go to a dealer) and only 1 of them found an issue with the battery. I'm incredibly disappointed in the problem solving methods used by Denooyer. A simple 1 hour job cost me over $500. Do not take your vehicle here for service, there are a number of honest and reputable mechanics in the area and you deserve better than Denooyer. read more

I recently brought my older 2007 truck in here for service on the power steering fluid lines, an airbag recall, and asked them to do a general check over just to make sure that everything was in shape since it's an older vehicle. The summary of their analysis was that it was basically beyond worth fixing but I did not really believe that based on the shape of the vehicle and how I had taken care of it over the years so after getting a second opinion it turned out that they were incorrect and the other auto shop actually said they had no idea why the dealership told me that because based on what they saw it was in fine running condition I just needed a couple long term vehicle maintenance repairs. They did not even find evidence of some major issues that the dealership had mentioned. I also did not end up getting the power steering fluid lines replaced because the price that they quoted me for that was far higher than the price range that I had researched. Overall the customer service was fine I just did not at any point feel that I could trust their dealership to properly service my vehicle for a good price and to give me honest answers about what was wrong and therefore I would not recommend going to the dealership for service especially if you have an older vehicle. Maybe part of the issue was that they are busy right now and that since I have an older vehicle or it isn't under warranty so it wasn't a priority and they didn't wanna deal with it but I do not feel that the information they gave me was correct or that I was prioritized as a customer. I also have known a person who had such an unpleasant experience attempting to buy a vehicle here that they changed their mind about buying a Chevy altogether. If you're looking for automotive service in the Holland area I've had good experiences with Platinum Auto and Precision Collision, I would rather go to either of them than this Chevrolet dealership any day. read more

A very long story made, well, ...... long. A deer ran out from a line of tight pine trees near the road and smack into the face of my beloved low-miles 2010 Mountaineer at 8:05 AM on March 11. The deer didn't survive. After the police did their bit, I called my insurance company. DeNooyer Chevrolet was right in my area and was on their approved list for collision repair. By 11:00 the very same morning, DeNooyer inspected the car, took pictures, did some paperwork and accepted the job. I heard nothing for a week or two, so I called. They said they could not find the photos of the damage and that they were needed for the insurance paperwork. Apparently, a key guy retired, and they couldn't find them. Well, glad I called. They requested I bring the damaged car in again for another round of photos, which I did. Mind you, I felt a little odd driving my smashed-up car on the streets - it's didn't look safe, but it would still drive. I had a few odd looks. During this part of the experience I had no loaner car because my car wasn't in their hands yet. In the end it was a few weeks before they could get the parts needed in. I called several times to be told some the parts were not in yet. Well, I get it, Covid, right? After about a month had passed I called them, (not vice-versa) and surprise, they asked me to bring the car in. Glad I called. At that time, I was given a loaner car so my wife no longer had to drive me to work. OK, this is an improvement. Things got quiet again for a few weeks. I told my wife that I decided to wait for them to call me, just to see how long it would take. Finally, on May 13, they called me to say I could pick it up. Yes, over two months later. It was pretty obvious that I had to decline the initial repair as offered on the 13th, as they had not gotten the bumper, grill, headlights and hood all lined up. There was a long 3/4" x 30" gap under the grill where 1/4" or less was stock. They corrected this somewhat over the next day, the service rep telling me on May 14th that the tech had "missed a few fasteners". Nice. Glad I asked. Additionally, I noted no-one bothered to re-aim the headlights after the install, but they offered that they would do it if I brought the car back later. Hmmm. I took the car home on the 14th anyway and aimed them myself later. It's not difficult, but I would have thought that all front-end collisions get that step. . One was high by about 10 inches at 8' from the car, more than enough off to bother other drivers at a distance. I'm a pretty patient person, but I did not get the feeling they were on the ball with this one. There were a few other things worth mentioning. There are swirl marks visible in direct sunlight on all of the hood where the polishing wheel got too aggressive. Most disturbingly, they over-torqued 4 or 5 of the top quarter panel fasteners on both sides of the car along/under the hood line, cracking the panel's mounting flange up pretty badly. I'm guessing the tech didn't consider that these undisturbed OEM quarter panels were plastic, not steel. An impact wrench is NOT a valid way to hang them as you might with steel. They were undamaged in the collision but would have been removed to get access, and later used to set the hood parting line. I would have thought the first one that cracked would have been a clue, but they kept going with the same tool. Let's hope the fenders stay on. The cloth interior door panels are a vanilla color - and some very greased-up hands stained the cloth up pretty good in a few places around the armrest. I'm hoping some upholstery cleaner will get that out. On the positive side, the paint color match was very good, amazing in fact, - this is a bright metallic blue on a 10-year-old car that has seen some sun, and the hood and bumper cover matched the OEM paint on the fenders well enough that it's barely noticeable. The metalflake lays like it should. The used headlight they found was also a good match for aging and condition. To their credit, the customer-facing staff were all very pleasant, professional, and polite throughout the job. They provide nice clean current-model loaners. They even offered to waive the $100 deductible since the repair took so long. All-in-all, a nice place to go for repairs, provided you are not in a hurry. I had an appointment scheduled for September 20th, in which i requested my tires to be taken off of the rims and resealed in an effort to remedy my tires from leaking air slowly over the course of a the week. I had also requested an oil change as well as one of my inner vents to be looked at. The Service manager later called me to let me know that the work had to be outsourced because Denooyer Chevrolet lacked the equipment to deal with low profile tires. I casually agreed knowing that the service manager had my best interest at heart. I picked the car up late on the 20th and paid my bill of 200 some dollars without a question knowing that I've always been satisfied with the work from this dealership. Immediately after driving my car out of the dealership and hopping on 196 I noticed my car shaking and steering wheel shaking about an inch back and forth. I was later informed that this "professional" from the Holland Tire Center that worked on my car neglected to balance the wheels after removing the tires from them. I struggle to understand why a proper balancing wasn't done but this is beside the point. I left my Camaro with the dealership overnight and was given a loner, thanks to the service manager. I called back the next day to learn that my car had to be sent back to the same company (Holland Tire Center) to have the wheels rebalanced. When I returned to Denooyer Chevrolet to pick up my Camaro I checked my wheels to be sure that no damage had occurred to them and was shocked to find that my wheels had been scratched on pretty much every spoke. Some scratches are mild but on other wheels the scratches are deeper and much more prominent. Even the service manager can confirm that they were not like this when they went into the Holland Tire Center for re-balancing. Beyond that, my wheels are still out of balance as well as my alignment is now out of order due to this. So to be absolutely clear, I do not feel that my wheels were damaged under the care of Robert Denooyer Chevrolet, I know that they were damaged after having service performed at Robert Denooyer Chevrolet. The need and choice to sublet the work done was under the dealerships responsibility, which I am sure they can agree that the dealership is responsible for anything that happens to a car under their care. Furthermore, I requested them to be replaced because what I had originally brought in was in fact Factory Quality wheels. As far as I know there is no possible way to restore my wheels to this state without replacing them. It was Mr. Denooyer himself that stated that the rims were too expensive to replace at the dealers cost so he decided to have a technician look into refurbishing my wheels, which I am fully against. We've had a technician out to look into resurfacing them and he's told both the service manager and myself that it would not be possible to get all of the scratches out. So what has been offered is not replacing what damage was done, but merely covering it up. This new solution that is being offered is now going to leave me without a car to drive for the next two weeks as the wheels go out for repairs and we'll have to find some place to store my car in the mean time since it will no longer have wheels. The plan is to inconvenience me further by sending my wheels out of state to be professionally refinished. This is not the dealership i would go to for service. The owner is difficult to deal with and they lack the proper equipment to deal with low profile tires and rims. Also, if they damage your car good luck getting them to give you a fair replacement for what was damaged. read more

Okay, we wanted an electric car, so we sucked it up (never driven American cars ever.... sorry, but looked at and hated every vione). And we have experienced plenty of service groups. Perfectly nice, but they are what they are. An American company making an electric car? We've been following the Volt for years now, and finally decided that it was time to jump in, go with a Michigan car and a battery made in Holland, and a dealership run by a family that really is community oriented. Well now we know why the doors have been open there for so long. Customers matter to them. they didn't want us to drive away until we fully understood each feature and fuction of the car. They detail your car every year for free, giving you a loaner. the owners came out to shake our hands and thank us for the sale. The volt is a great car, handles beautifully, feels solid, secure. It's amazing how much power it has. We didn't expect that at all. For the number of miles we drive every day, We don't expect to pay for a drop of gas for a long time. And we are confident that if we have trouble with the car, we'll get the same customer service we got during the sales process. Simply amazing read more

Front license plate holder which I purchased and had installed by the body shop, fell off and I lost a very good license plate/marketing tool which was a gift. Went to them for repair work after a minor collision. First it took almost a month to get the vehicle in, then once they had it, taking forever to complete the work. They've had the vehicle for a week and a half, promised to have it done this week, and are now saying another week. Can't speak to quality of work yet, but if you want the work done in a reasonable time frame you should go somewhere else. read more

I picked a 2015 Chevy Impala with 3 miles on it love the car. Car sustained body damage in 2017 I took it too Denoyer to be repaired as I take this car to Denoyer for everything. They a great job at the time, however one year later paint started peeling . I took the car back and they acted like it was not worth their time. I made the appoinment took my car they forgot to put me the schedule. They had my car a week told me to come and get it. I went and they messed up my car left a Matte finish without clearcoatm. So I left without my car two weeks later finally get the call to go get it and there a fogging finish on what should be a charcoal finish. I brought it to the department manager Jeff Brinks attention and he tried to say thatz the door wasn't even the door they were working on. Wrong no wonder they messed up. so then he tells me they will call when they are ready for my car. Fine. Week and a half goes by no call driving by Ford dealership RE Barber Ford mower throws and huge chunk of wood at my car same door just shy of my window. How fortunate for you see I took the car showed the damage to the dealership they made the appointment to fix it for a week later. Mind still no call from Denoyer. They had my car a day and a half fixed done and even fixed Denoyer' s screw up at no charge to me. Wow now that is what I call customer service. I had one of the worst customer service experiences here in November 2011. My husband asked me to stop in and pick up a battery for his car. He explained that he had already called, and that it was in stock. He said just go to the service area and give them the part (stock) number he provided. When I arrived, it wasn't clear what door to go in, and I wandered in what was (I think) the used car sales? A woman lounging in a chair asked what I needed, and I said I was there to pick up a battery. She gestured to another door, and said just go thru there and someone will help you. I thought it odd she couldn't even stand up to show me where to go. Anyway, I walked out into a garage, and didn't see anyone, and wasn't sure where to go. Multiple employees walked by me, seemingly in a hurry, and didn't bother saying anything. After about 10 minutes, I started wandering around, and found a service window. I said I needed to pick up a battery, and had a part number for them. Whomever I talked to said they didn't have any in stock, and I said "that's impossible, my husband just got off the phone with someone here an hour ago". They looked again, and figured out they had one. (?) I waited another 20 minutes for someone to go get it. Then I was instructed to pay at another window. When I went up to that window, there were 3-4 employees inside, chit chatting. I stood there for another 5 minutes while they all told stories. I finally said "Um, HI can I pay for my order?" The older guy closest to me said something like "oh, I don't work in this area, try the next window down". Whatever. All in all, I wasted WAY more time than I wanted to. I sure am glad that I drive a Ford! The RE Barber guys across the street are far more organized, friendly and helpful. read more

Ordered parts twice and both times Larry didn't place order, he called to say he was busy and forgot to order but if I still wanted then I would have to pay extra fee for his mistake, talked to management about his practice and they said maybe I should order parts elsewhere. So I advise anyone thinking about buying parts or a car don't if they make mistake you end up paying for it. read more

Drove in 25 miles for a simple oil change on my Volt. On the way back, my engine quit 2 miles from home because they had failed to re-connect a wire. I called for an emergency tow back to the dealership as I walked the rest of the way home. Lost most of the day and missed medical appointments. I had my new car later that week!!! All the sales people were really friendly and went out of their way to make me satisfied. For being 4 yrs old, the vehicle I got from them was spotless! Buyer beware::::: I have just left Denooyers in Holland, I was treated very badly. We were there, by appointment, to speak with a man about a deal that he had made with my nephew, who is handicapped. They had picked up his car, and resold it while payments were up to date, and also sold his license plate with the car or lost them, no one seems to know where they are. We were waiting to speak with this man, and was told we were next in line, when he took a Spanish couple in to his office. I have no problem with this except we were next, when I asked about it, they said he had to take them because the didn't speak English, I understand that, but should they have been placed before me because they don't speak English???? We waited for over an hour, I don't feel they did us justice. I guess the younger generation of Denooyers' isn't as fair and honest as Bob Denooyer was. We bought our first new car there, and we were always treated fairly. I am very disappointed in the way we were treated today.
