I was storing a board in my garage when the board decided to trip and hit my car. I ended up with a 6-inch minor dent on my rear passenger quarter panel. I called Dent Masters, never got a response from him after a week. I called Benny at Dent Champion; he gave me a quote based on what I could show through pictures. I called Dent Dogs, Juan gave me a call back and gave me a quote based on the same pictures. The dent was really hard to capture through pictures or video. The cheapest quote I got was $120 through Dent Dogs, I drove out to meet Juan where he was going to do the work. We spent some time trying to figure out how to take the tail light off which he couldn't do. We finally watched a video, his first response was we need to drill an access point (3/4-inch hole) because the space behind the tail light wasn't open. For obvious reasons I didn't want a hole drilled into my car... that's permanent damage to fix damage that could be fixed. His set up was concerning and I started to question how well he can fix the dent. He told me it would take him about 40 minutes. I decided to not go through with Dent Dogs and called Benny right after. Benny first quoted $250 from the pictures I sent. He only works out of his shop so I drove from Kingwood to Tomball to get the work done. I got there and when he got a better view of the dent, he quoted me $550. That price difference shocked me. Turns out the quote he gave me initially was because he only saw the top half of the dent. We worked it out and he decided that if he can easily access the dent, he'll honor the $250. Going with Dent Champion was a much better decision, for a few reasons. The main one is Benny cares more if the car is returned to its previous condition, not just removing the dent. He took the time to find a way to access the dent without drilling a hole and painted the exposed metal at the hole that was used. He spent the time (about an hour and a half) to get the dent out properly using the light at different angles. In the end I was more than happy with the effort and care he took to remove the dent. He was going to honor the $250 but I ended up giving him $350. TLDR: If you care about your car and want the fixes done properly, Go to Dent Champion. Benny has been doing this since 94 which makes him a pioneer in the PDR field. Apparently, he participated in the Dent Olympics at the Mobile Tech Expo in Orlando and placed in the top 10. Most interestingly, Juan shadowed Benny for a few days which isn't enough to be good... maybe enough to fix dents. Dent Champion costs more than the competitors, but not all work is the same. read more

I unfortunately had someone hit my car in a parking lot and run... so I was left with a big dent in my rear bumper cover. There was a crease left after popping most of it out and I went to Dent Champion to see what Benny could do for me. Experience matters! We somehow managed to pick up a door ding on our otherwise spotless Porsche Macan. I knew it was in a VERY tough spot for PDR repair, right at the front, leading edge of the back door, with the hinge behind it, and not accessible via the window area. I wasn't very hopeful that much could be done sans traditional fill, sand, prime, paint and clear coat....$$ As such, I looked on-line for a PDR craftsman with years of experience AND glowing reviews. Benny is that guy! I sent him pictures, he gave me an estimate price range for repair and we set an appointment so he could take a closer look. Upon in person inspection he admitted/agreed that it was in a very tough spot but he was seemingly undeterred and determined to apply his trade and restore our baby as best as he possibly could. I asked him percentage wise, how much improved he thought he could make it? He said 80%, felt he could get it all out except the deep center point of impact which he expected to be able to significantly improve but not remove completely. With the touch of an EXPERIENCED hand, lights, adhesive, other tools of the trade, patience and relentless determination he worked on that little spot for over an hour. I watched amazed from afar trying not to be a distraction. When he finished he seemed a bit disappointed that he could not quite "get it all"... What??? We agreed 80% improved would be quite an accomplishment and plenty good enough. What I got was 99% improved, I kid you not! It truly can't be seen unless the right light from the perfect angle and even then, it is so tiny, it can not be noticed. I have a keen eye having owned show cars in my past and this bugger of a dent met its match with Benny! When done, he even charged me LESS than the estimate range previously agreed to. I hope I never need to see Benny again, but if I do, I'd drive clear across the state to have him perform his PDR magic on any of my current or future vehicles! read more

I recently got damage to my vehicle in a car wash. The car wash said they would pay for the repair, I just needed to get some estimates. I got three estimates and I also inquired on how the dents would be repaired. The body shops methods were all pretty much the same which included drilling a lot of holes, attaching devices that would allow them to pull the dents out and bondo.
