I walked in the office with no greeting for my first actual visit that wasn't cancelled Two out of three new patient appts cancelled and they did not call to validate any of it or my insurance before going in. The music playing was EXTREMELY unprofessional. The staff was sitting ON THE COUNTERS talking about doing edibles with the delivery driver and snacks of choice. Three times they tried to run my insurance and said that it wouldn't go through. I went back in the building 3 times after I made phone calls. Needless to say, my insurance went through AFTER I left the office and my husband went in to try. They had my personal birthday wrong all 3 times without double checking. The overall experience was bad enough that I did not feel comfortable to go back to have them work on my teeth. If you can't run your front desk and office, then I do not trust you with my teeth. And honestly, when you think maybe you are being judgmental, you can go and read these reviews and realize it is not you. Everyone has had the same experiences it seems. Good luck. Office staff never returned my call regarding preparation for the visit as my husband has medical needs and I wanted to prepare them. I left a message a week before. I also called again twice and no one answered the phone. They emailed me the intake forms when we checked in, rather than having me fill them out ahead of time even- though he was in a wheelchair and obviously had medical issues. We waited an hour. Finally took him back. Doctor was obviously uncomfortable with seeing him and asked me to complete the intake medical history while he cleaned his teeth. I gave him a short verbal history on my husband's needs and simply asked they give him breaks during the session to swallow and keep it a short as possible. They took bitewing x-rays but did not go over them with us or even look at them. He needed a neck pillow, there was none, I went to the car and brought in a rolled up towel for him. There was no scaling work or plaque removal, no flossing, just the polisher and he was "done". Fifteen minutes tops. I took five minutes to have my husband sign all the releases, they could not get us out of there fast enough. Never again. read more

Nothing good to say about this place! the first time I went there they gave me a five minute cleaning! and didnt really clean nothing and then the second time, they were supposed to fix my tooth and he drilled the hole, drowned me in the blue liquid they use to clean the tooth, and I had to sit up and try not to throw up and then he filled it but it is a month later and it still hurts from what he did to it. horrible place! I've never been more disappointed in a medical practice. I went on 2/14/22 for a broken tooth. Fought with my insurance to get approval. I started calling 5/11/22 to book an appointment to get the now approved dental work done. The dentist who approved it and therefore has to perform the procedure is leaving the practice this week. Which means not only do I need a new dentist, I have to completely redo the appeals process with my insurance, effectively meaning I won't be getting my teeth repaired until the end of summer or later. Meaning my front teeth will be unusable for another 3-4 months. Every experience with this place has been a nightmare. The scheduling is never right, my appointments all get cancelled last minute, I've had to walk out because they've left me sit so long waiting my numbing has worn off. Even today, I got 6 callbacks, all of which I've left in 12 days. They haven't checked messages in TWO WEEKS. I've never in my life had so much of my time wasted. And I genuinely hope no other person is put through the same amount of poor excuses I've gotten. read more

My 10 year old renamed this "Dental Nightmares" because it's really is like the worst place ever. Our last appointment was rescheduled half an hour before, only a day after I was confirmed for it. Then today we had an appointment at 5:30, and were finally taken back at 6. My son got xrays quickly and then at 6:20 no one had been back to see us and there was obviously only 1 doctor in the building who was in the middle seeing another patient. So we left and will be finding a different dentist who has a even an ounce of courtesy for patients time. I understand that 1 appointment can push everyone back- but there is a point where a little communication goes a long way and I would have much rather received a call to reschedule or had been given a heads up when we got there as to how far behind they were. I tried with them, I really did but I lost my patience when I arrived on time for my scheduled appt of having a cavity filled. That was it, I didn't need anything else. Well, they decided to do x-rays....fine. They then started cleaning my teeth.............um....okay..... then told me I was done. What? I'm here for a cavity filling. Dental dreams dentist is amazing and the staff worked diligently to get my husband Rodney in for many different procedures to help better his health. Throughout this entire process he always praises the staff and comments just how hard the dentist works to get everything precise. I would definitely recommend this establishment. Waited 6 months for a initial appointment. The staff did not communicate at all what they were doing, the dentist did not introduce himself when he came in, I honestly thought he was a technician coming to clean my teeth. The "cleaning" was just done with water, no flossing, no brushing, did not count my teeth or communicate anything about my X-rays or teeth health in any form. When he finished, the lady "assisting" him said I was done and that she would walk me out, when I asked if I'd see a dentist or if I had any cavities or anything like that, she responded with a very rude attitude and did not offer any help to ease any of my concerns. She tossed my folder at the woman at the front desk and said "she probably won't be rescheduling". Obviously not with that attitude! I've been to many dentists in my life and this was by far my worst experience! Long wait time, no communication, didn't even do a thorough job and skipped just about every step. Just awful. Well I was going to continue to go here for my dentures. I had a consultation about getting a full set of dentures. (I'm a recovering opiate addict and lost most teeth) During my consult the dentist said that with my Gateway insurance, getting dentures would take up to TWELVE WEEKS!!! really zero stars. the office manager is a nightmare. she told me it is company policy to have X-rays every six months. I've been going there for years and never get xrays every time. plus none of the paperwork says that. I used to work at a dentist office in the past and know this is not correct. she litreally argued with me and refused to see me bc I didn't want xrays. it's my body....so I don't get a voice in what I do with my body. I have been going to this dentist since 2015 I never had a complaint until now. I went to get a tooth pulled in 2019 maybe everything went well until a year ago I started getting this funny taste in my mouth which was giving me bad breat. I was having excruciating jaw/gum/teeth pain around 3 pm and ended up waiting 3 hours to get seen. They close the office at 5 pm to new walkins. While the hot looking front desk men were awesome, the back room was a different story. You end up waiting again. When I finally got seen by the "Specialist", after taking all these painful xrays,(the old dinosaur equipment shove them in the gum and shoot a picture kind) she tells me I need to see an oral surgeon who's just going to take a better WHOLE mouth xray (as I know many other dental practices are able to do). I was pissed. This xray cost me a lot of money up front (no insurance). Their xrays only take an xray of a tooth at a time, not the gums or sinuses which they KNEW were hurting me. They suckered me for my money. All they found was a tiny cavity? Sure, I have some wisdom teeth that are too dangerous to remove, but they have never been a problem. The pain tends to go away with a sinus rinse, which to me, must suggest a sinus problem. Then they ask do I want my teeth cleaned? Well, I am already there, it can take forever to get dental appointments, so I say screw it, OK. Almost 50 bucks again. The "dentist" an Indian looking woman, doesn't even floss my teeth, slops on some paste, quickly and sloppily cleans my teeth, missing some areas. I know what a good teeth cleeaning is like, I'm 51 and I've been around longer than her! I felt really "unfinished". I scraped some daily "crud" off the back of my teeth with a fingernail and I even said to her " you didn't do a good job, you missed an are"a and showed her. She insisted it was just the teeth cleaner. I insisted it wasn't. She said it was. She was done in almost 2 minutes!! No teeth rinsing or anything. She's going on and on about my receding gums she has to be careful bla bla bla and all is good. It's 6;30 pm i know she wants to go home! I'm hungry, I'm tired, and I bet she is, too. So I get a crap ass cleaning job for $50 and unnecessary xrays for a discounted $90 bucks and there goes more than half of my hard earned pay. I'm leaving the building still in pain with a stuipd recommendation to see an oral surgeon that I'm sure they could have told me to see over the phone based on my discription! No pain killing suggestions or anything. Just a list of surgeons! Not a place for adults. read more

I waited outside in the cold with my daughter and was approached by one of the Reps that was so rude upon entering. She was trying to belittle for the 10 minutes I was there. We went back and forth at each other and then she wanted me to stay so that my daughter could be seen but kept telling me her appointment was a different day when I was giving a different date. Do not trust your teeth to this place! I took my 12 year old daughter here. They suggested sealants for her teeth. I agreed because it was covered, although she had no cavities at the time. One year later when I took her back to our regular dentist, they asked me who put the sealants on. They wanted to know who did such a horrible job. They were only painted on half way so that they created a pocket for food and decay. My daughter then needed fillings under all 4 sealants!! The worst dentist office in York. I was insulted by the dentist. The dental assistant was shaking her head at me because I wouldn't let them put Mercury in my teenage daughter's head. Then the dental assistant jumped in my face to the point that I had to get up out of my seat and tell her to step back. I thought this was going to get physical, seriously. This place is LOW CLASS and TRASHY. Never go there UNLESS you enjoy shotty dental work and ultimately enjoy having NO teeth. They should be ashamed of themselves. We chose Dental Dreams after having a horrific experience somewhere else. I read all the terrible reviews online but it was a friends referral that I decided to give it a try. Boy AM I GLAD I DID. What an amazing experience. My daughter is HF Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. The staff here were so caring towards her. They explained everything they were going to do. They showed her the tools before hand. they allowed her to wear her Noise cancelling headphones through out the visit. They were so great. They did all the work needed to be done in ONE visit which was such a relief! I am so glad I gave them a try. I will recommend this place to anyone who has a special needs child. They really take things seriously and are understanding and accepting. THANK YOU Dental Dreams for giving us such a positive dental visit! read more

It is my opinion; I went there to get a tooth removed and a cavity filled, they partially pulled the tooth, left the rest in then sent me off, the dentist in question didn't even record the work he did.....as I went in about a week later, because my tongue was numb to the point I couldn't even talk right. I still have nerve damage issues in my tongue.... and part of a tooth that I assume will forever remain embedded in my jaw. (to avoid any legal issues, this is my opinion. I went there yesterday 3/14/18. To get a tooth pulled My appointment was at 2 pm Went back at 2:15 pm The nurse took x-rays which bruised my gums. Then the lady came in to check x-rays. And numbed my gums She was yanking on my tooth & with the other hand had her fingers in my mouth holding my jaw I guess so she wouldn't dislocated my jaw. She was using a metal pick to try & break off my tooth. Well the pick slipped and she stabbed her finger while her finger was in my mouth. Then the lady that manages the place came to ask me if I had any deases I said No then I asked her if that lady did.... I mean she stabbed her finger while her finger was in my mouth Then she had a guy dentist come to finish pulling my tooth out Had to cut my gums to get the tooth out & had to get stitches. I never walked out of that place till 4:00 Didn't give me anything for pain just told me to take ibuprofen . Woke up this morning my face is swelled and am in a lot of pain Called Dental dreams to see if they could give me anything for the pain. The person that answered the phone told me to hold on......... She came back on the line & Told me AT THIS TIME THEY CAN'T GIVE ME ANYTHING STRONGER....I'm so pissed they were the ones who put me in this pain But can't help me with anything to help ease the pain. I would give it 0 stars if I could. I waited 2 hours to be seen. I had a 1:30 appointment. I waited another half hour in the chair. The dental assistant took xrays. When dentist finally came in she gave me a 2 second exam and 1 minute cleaning and referred me to a specialist to have my chipped tooth taken care of. They just want the easy money and do not want to do any filling or drilling. They get insurance money by saying they cleaned your teeth and took xrays. They barely looked at the xrays so it was a huge waste of time and insurance money. Now I have to contact my insurance company and see if I can find another dentist. This is a SCAM and I will be reporting them to my insurance company and whatever authority. Another thing...the dentist had a paper mask over her face. She had an Indian accent. The very few words she said,I could not understand. She walked out of the room when I asked her to repeat herself. I had to ask the technician what is going on.... I was stunned..absolutely stunned! Do Not Go Here under any circumstances if you can help it. Its a scam to get insurance money with no work. I am going to see if I can get my xrays. As I sat in the dental chair waiting for a procedure which I agreed to, an employee approached and requested payment which my insurance didn't cover. This was less than $35. I said I would pay when my time in the chair was complete. He insisted that payment be made immediately. I was absolutely shocked that payment was demanded before the procedure. I was also told I either needed a root canal or an extraction of a tooth that I have no issue with and has a healthy nerve. I will never return to Dental Dreams. I took my 15 year old son in because of tooth pain, His appt was a 9 am and we got there at 8:45. I was told he would not be seen until after 9 because they don't start until 9:10 or so...I saw employees rolling in after 9 and my son was not seen until 9:30 because apparently the employees think they can come in when ever...Once seen and xrayed..apparently Dr, Patel and a dental assistant dicided to argue over something in front of my son. She also chipped off a large piece of tooth while drilling and proceded to say "somedays I hate my job". I think Dental dreams cares more about quantity instead of quality...the more people they can move in and out and take $ (mostly gov;t money I am sure)..the better.
