This place is grossly overpriced. Gave me one treatment plan and then after I got fincing as instructed he wanted to double price to 14,000.00. I went to a new dentist which was amazing I showed him treatment plan and what they wanted to do. I then sat and this new one took new xrays an didnt charge. Then after him giving me what all I needed to get my mouth healthy after a surgery that went bad and I was nutrients deficiency my teeth went bad. He also took a camera around mouth showed me all the issues and how to get my teeth in a healthy spot. they thru invialigne at me at the dental group of springfirld didnt ask for it. I have been told by phone for one price for consultation, when I came in for my appointment I found out the price was much more expensive. I did a deep cleaning by one of the hygienists and she did a very bad job ( she hurt my gums) compare to different dental offices I have been before in different towns. When I paid for my expensive plan for the deep cleaning, I have been told by the stuff that's the plan includes the follow up appointment . After I paid over 1600$, they ask for another 200$ for the follow up. Those people are artist scammers! Stay away from this place! RUN as far away as you can from this office!!! With other great dental options in the area, I strongly recommend you chose another office based on our experience here. After our whole family being long term patients, we definitely noticed a change when a couple of the longer tenure dentists retired. In early 2023, I brought my 16 year old daughter in for a routine cleaning. They recommended $11,110 in treatment!!!! $11k!!! Multiple root canals and crowns, and they wanted to do them all in office instead of a referral to an endocrinologist. We immediately sought a second opinion from an experienced dentist in private practice. Guess what the first thing he found was?! One of the x-rays they were using WAS SOMEONE ELSE'S TEETH!! The rest of the treatment plan was completely too aggressive for a 16-yr old's teeth. She did not need any root canals or crowns. We've had other friends experience aggressive treatment recommendations from them too (multiple crowns, etc) that second opinions deemed unnecessary. I called and politely told them we were taking our family to another dentist and to cancel all future appointments with them. They never once called and asked why were leaving after more than a decade with them. But you know what they have contacted us FIVE times about? An outstanding charge of $22. I had a terrible toothache and was impressed that this group could squeeze me in as a new patient and was willing to do a root canal on me that same visit. The staff was awesome and professional. Made me feel at ease. The Dentist was soothing and spoke to me with care and listened to my desires, goals and fears. I wasn't treated as a number. Very satisfied. I got here early and was taken back early. Every encounter I had with the staff and doctors were pleasant. My only worry is they don't have weekend or evening hours and I bet I can get the same services at a cheaper price but I like this place. I'm quite comfortable here. The place and decor is also pleasing to the eye. Very neat and clean. If I didn't know any better I would think they had housekeeping there every hour but not once did I see anyone cleaning and that says a lot about them as well as the clientele. One of the things I love about this place is that they are very organized. From what I can see, they offer a large range of services and you have the option of getting things financed. I was actually yelled at by the dentist for no reason. I put a review on here to let people know not to go here. I received a response from the "business manager" to give him a call. When I did it was the wrong number. People are scared enough about going to the dentist I was a dental assistant for four years and have never in that time heard a dentist yell at a patient. Was extremely rude and since I had just lost my only daughter in a car accident a few months before this I was already in tears. I grew up in a time where customer service was the norm and now it's not even required. read more

My whole family went to this group for years and I was happy with the care the dentists provided. Then one day during the pandemic, I asked a question about whether or not the people working on my mouth were vaccinated, and the reactions were outrageous. I firmly believe that people have the right to be vaccinated or not, so that wasn't the issue. It was the way they treated me when I asked. The hygienist told me she was, but she didn't know about the dentists, so she got the office manager. I was anxious already as people are when they visit the dentist, and this woman didn't help. She was condescending, talking down to me like I was a child, and wouldn't just answer my questions. Then, one of the dentists whom I had never seen there before came in and did the same. They essentially berated me for asking instead of just being polite about it. It was like they took personal offense. The dentist gave me a line about HIPPA, which didn't even apply to the situation (yes, I am an informed person). I told him I needed to get to work, and his response was, "then let's get you there!" In other words, they didn't even want to help me. I walked out and told them I wouldn't be coming back. The next day, I got a letter from them telling me that they could unfortunately no longer keep me as a client due to "differences in dental philosophy." I told them I wasn't coming back, and they acted like they were dropping me! And no dental "philosophy" was ever discussed when I was there. It was ridiculous. I started looking for another dentist and I called several. And guess what? They were all more than willing to answer my questions about vaccinations! They told me if the staff and dentists were or not, or which ones were, just like the massage therapists and other providers I would call and ask. No problem at all. Again, it wasn't about the vaccine--it was about the reaction and the way they treated me as a person. Totally defensive and rude. I have told anyone who asks since to avoid that place. Would not recommend! I started my Invisalign treatment at this office and the office manager and doctors are refusing to finish my treatment. My insurance paid for the treatment and they have not completed it. Trying to make me pay extra for a refinement and retainers. The price included all of this at the time I started and now they are wanting me to pay $500 for retainers. My teeth are shifting because they will not finish my treatment. I also have a implant and it shift as well it will be a huge issue and very costly! The office manage Janet will not rerun my calls or emails. I will contacting my insurance company to let them know Dental Group took the money but have NOT finished the work. I also had my implant and implant crown done there and it looks terrible! Excellent service in an emergency - I fractured a molar through to the roots when in St. Louis. I called my dentist in Springfield and was told they could not help me for three days - I was in pain and had to head out of town again in just two days. I called the Dental Group of Springfield and was told they would try to help me as soon as I could get back in town. Dr. Tanner Flaherty and the outstanding technician who assisted worked on my old tooth (I'm 68). They took the necessary time to do the job right, even though it extended past office hours. Fancy office of lies. I was told I needed a root canal and they checked my insurance and because I have met my deductible it would not cost me anything.They brought in an estimate that said Zero balance owed for me to sign. I asked AGAIN if they were sure I met my deductible. yes said the friendly nurse. One month later I get the call I owe 1000.00 insurance was capped out for the year. The paper I signed was a free ticket to court to pay them if insurance didn't pay. they flat out lied to me now I'm stuck on disability where I make 1000 a month to live on and I owe these crooked liars 1000 for root canal on a tooth that wasn't even bothering to begin with. Bad experiences. Dr. Flaherty installed a crown and 2.5 years later the crown failed, cost me $1000 to replace because the insurance wouldn't cover it because it wasn't 5 years old. He gave me 2 anesthesia shots before working on a cavity, he later called me at home to see if I was OK. He put in a bridge and there was a big gap under the bridge that collected food, after much discussion he finally replaced the bridge, at the same time he said that I needed a root canal on a tooth. I change dentist and the new dentist could not find any reason for a root canal. read more
