Dr. Abdul Majzoub has been my dentist now for 25 plus years and throughout all those years I've been very pleased with his efficient work. He's done numerous fillings and a root canal as well. His staff is always very caring and friendly. I've had many 6 month cleanings and I've always felt I was under the best care. I highly recommend Dr. Majzoub and his team. They're also very punctual as far as appointment time. I rarely have to wait more than just a few minutes to be seen. Dr. Majzoub is also very honest and upfront. Dr. Majzoub is a caring and very skilled dentist. He was my dentist when I was a teen (and needed a ton of dental work) and I always felt confident in his work, and always left the appointment pain free and with a better smile. I'm so glad to see that he is still practicing in Chicago. I just had him fix a cracked front filling. His prices are reasonable and he explains all work before you agree to services. Dr. Majzoub is simply the best! He is very thorough, answers all my questions, and makes me feel very comfortable. I had a very deep cavity (which another dentist had missed) that he took extra care of and basically made my tooth brand new. I had an appointment in March for an exam and cleaning. The dentist talked to me for not more than 2 minutes, looked in my mouth for about 10 seconds, and then told me that I needed X-rays and to be approved for deep cleaning and to refill some old fillings that had fallen out. As a veterinarian, I am trained in general dentistry and I'm not exactly sure how he can count the 10 seconds as a dental exam. Spending 2.5 minutes to tell a patient to have over $1000 worth of dental work done isn't a bad gig. So I was told that they would call me in about 2-3 weeks while they got approval from my insurance company. It's now June and I called them back. Honestly, I should have called earlier but I have been so busy with work and traveling that it just slipped my mind. They said that they still had not received approval from the insurance company. They called the insurance company on the other line and was on hold so they said they would call me back. They didn't. So I called again the next afternoon and apparently the insurance company had needed additional information and no one sent it to them. So I just requested my X-rays and am going to another dentist. If you want poor, unpersonalized, assembly line service, this is the place to go... Otherwise, I suggest going to another clinic. read more

I was referred to Dr. Majzoub in an emergency by my work, which is a nonprofit public health clinic. At first I was hesitant, but Dr. Majzoub quickly proved why we refer so many patients to him. He's always been honest with me about expectations, level of service, and cost: he encouraged me to get a particular service elsewhere that was cheaper than his own, but has also advised me to invest in other services that will utilize his own expertise. I usually see Dr. Majzoub in an emergency that my work's clinic cannot cover, but he still proves himself to be knowledgeable, respectful, and kind. Making an appointment was very easy and Dr. Majzoub is great! He is always very thorough! My kids love him! I got my teeth cleaned once and some cavities filled last visit. This visit the kids went in this time for a routine cleaning. I highly recommend this place and this dentist!!! I don't think anyone really loves going to the dentist; however, Dr. Majzoub and his wonderful staff at the Dental Image make going to the dentist a painless and enjoyable experience. I'm currently writing this review, my face still numb from Novocaine. I haven't had a ton of great experiences with different dentists in the past, but with Dr. Majzoub, I know I'm in good hands. The facility is clean, light and inviting and while there isn't really any parking in the lot next to the office, there is ample (paid) street parking. The receptionists are friendly without being over-the-top. Every time I've had an appointment, I'e been greeted warmly and checked in quickly. Wait time for me has been minimal and within a few moments of sitting down, I have been escorted back to one of the chairs. Appointments are quick without feeling rushed - concerns and questions are answered thoroughly; however, when it comes time for cleaning, x-rays and procedures, it's not an all-day affair. Even the one time I needed restorative work to fix a cavity (this morning), it was done quickly and minus the pinch from the Novocaine needle, painlessly. You can tell the staff at The Dental Image are knowledgeable. Dr. Majzoub is direct with the care he feels you need and will explain reasons for his treatments and recommendations to you, but he won't prescribe unnecessary procedures to rack up your bill. With as large of a city as Chicago is, I know there are a plethora of choices; however, I highly recommend giving the folks at The Dental Image a try. read more

If you are like me and hate going to the dentist (sorry, Dr. Majzoub), this is your place! Dr. Majzoub is gentle, thorough and FAST. From cleanings to crowns, I have been 100% satisfied and not petrified during my visits since I have been going there for the past several years. I hadn't been to the dentist in FOREVER because of lack of insurance. When I finally got some, I wandered into the closest dental office and set up an appointment for myself and my 13 year-old. The only thing I knew about the office was that the dentist was a Northwestern alum and former faculty member (It says so on the window!). My appointment fell on a Thursday, so I did not have Dr. Abdul. I ended up having Dr. Savani who is there on Tuesdays and Thursdays (I believe). I absolutely loved her. She didn't give me guff for not seeing a dentist in far too long. Instead, she guided me through the corrective action I need to take and talked to me about future visits. This place is awesome! The desk receptionist was so helpful with getting my insurance information together. She was super patient and I really appreciated it. Dr. Majzoub knows exactly what he's doing. He's polite and makes sure you understand everything that is going on with your teeth. My friend told me about this place and claims that it's very good but from what i experienced I would never go back there again. location - I took an uber there so idk much if it's close to any public transportations the clinic - nice, clean, very inviting reception - so much attitude, should hire someone that more professional and really want a job and not look and talk like i hate this job and i hate everybody that come in here doctor - I think he is good wait time - I had to wait for 30 minutes price- I bought Yelp coupon for my visiting and they seem to be confused by it and they charged me more. they said they couldn't give me the discount they were gonna give me and bla bla bla. I don't really care at that point I already know I will never send any of my friends there. I ended up paid $150 out of pocket. It's actually $200 just to go there get the X-ray and get a prescription. read more

I've been going here for the last 3 years (my wife has been going longer), and we've both been very happy with the care and service provided by Dr. Majzoub. We've consistently been seen within 5 minutes of our appointment, and have never been led or pressured into services we didn't need (bi-annual cleaning and yearly x-ray only). Unlike previous dentists I've been to where the Dr. only comes in for a hit-and-run at the end, Dr. Majzoub gives you his time and will do some of it himself. They take our insurance and I've never had to pay anything out of pocket. Overall we're pleased with Dental Image and recommend it. read more

My kids, me, my ex husband and many other people I know have all been coming here for at least a decade. It is relatively inexpensive, highest-quality, independent dentistry. The dentist is University of Illinois Dental School educated and is a pleasant, matter of fact professional. So, I haven't been to the dentist in a while and just moved to this area and after finding great reviews I thought I would give Dental Image a try. I guess I have to be "that one" that has a bad experience. I personally went in to make an appointment since I only live a block away. The 2 receptionist were friendly but not quite all there. They told me I had to wait 3 weeks because the doctor was out on a "personal emergency". I was reluctant but I went ahead and made an appointment. 3 weeks later and I'm ready to head to the office when I get a call from the receptionist saying they lost my paperwork and needed to verify my info before I came in. I gave them my info and she found me in the system so I went into the office. While filling out paperwork the receptionest then said I couldn't be verified by my insurance and she couldn't get ahold of anyone since it was a Saturday. I mean they only had 3 weeks to verify my information??? She asked If I wanted to reschedule so they can verify. You can imagine my frustration of having to wait 3 weeks only to hear this. She could only smile and say "sorry". She proposed it as either a take it or leave it situation with the possibility that I could get stuck with the bill. I calmly expressed my frustration I told her that I was going to leave a negative review. This place is highly unprofessional and unorganized. I mean what business is ok with a customer walking away frustrated and disappointed? She even told me "that's fine if you want to leave a negative review". So, here it is. With plenty of dentist in the neighborhood looks like I will be going elsewhere. read more

Dr. Majzoub is fabulous. And as one of those people who avoids dentists if at all possible, I'm not easily impressed. His staff is always courteous and pleasant, and the waiting room in his office, while clearly family friendly, is always tidy and pleasant. Not that I've spent much time there -- after 6 or 7 visits, I don't think 've ever had to wait one minute past my appointment time, and I don't think I can say that for any other healthcare professional I've ever been to... The equipment in the office is unobtrusive and up to date, and the work done there is terrific. I went in first to have a cleaning (after many years...) and see about finishing up some major work that had been started by another dentist years earlier. Dr. Majzoub does most everything himself, which amazed me. As others have said, he is very conscientious about letting you know exactly what is going on, and he's very, very careful about not causing any pain. In addition, he really went above and beyond, I think, in working to reach my old dentist to figure out what she'd done, and kept at it despite her unresponsiveness. I am very grateful for the work he's done, and for his skill and thoughtfulness, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. read more

Dr Mazjoub has been a great dentist. Not only is he gentle but explains the procedures step by step and let's you know ahead of time what the cost of the procedures would be. No surprise costs, he is up front on everything. It helps that he has years of experience and it shows in his dentistry and his education to patients. Lots of dentist just go in and drill, but with Dr Mazjoub you understand why he's doing what he's doing. I feel confident in his expertise and efficiency. This is why I kept coming back to him after trying dentist after dentist, after dentist. Dr Mazjoub had to redo the crowns that I had gotten done with my prior dentist because they had fallen off within a year. I can proudly say that three years later Dr Mazjoub's work is still intact regardless of what I have eaten. I should have written this review years ago, but better late than never. Dr. Majzoub is great! I have been coming here for at least 3 years. He is patient and kind. He expresses concerns when necessary but does not try to push you into anything. For example, I grind my teeth and he suggested a night guard. It was out of my price range but he was understanding that I could not afford it. The wait is always short and so are the visits. I feel cared for and respected. Although there are dentists closer to me, I keep coming here because of the amazing work. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Mazjoub for as long as his N. Kedzie office has been open, and after being his patient for this long can easily say that I would not trust anyone else with my teeth. He is incredibly honest, has an amazing bedside manner (for those of us that are already very anxious about dental work) and goes out of his way to ensure his patients are comfortable. I went for services at this place about 10 months ago, with an unprofessional dentist, and wanted to share my experience. I was referred here for a possible filling/root canal...and was given the run around. The dental office had these downward blinds that make you feel like you are a zoo animal- that people can observe from the outside. I don't like people looking at me, while I am getting dental work done, besides the dentist and assistant..that was strange and scary for me....I was referred to another dentist, who confirmed that the hot and test exam for a possible root canal was okay..which I took a but too and uber and was on a time limit....But I had limited time on my insurance, so a dental cleaning was the only thing done by this dentist. Who is biilingual in Spanish...While I was getting a cleaning -thru the middle of this he goes on to tell me that I need to clean better and his hard toned suggestions. Which I could not respond to, since I had the water thing in my mouth...When he was done, he left. The dental assistant spoke to me briefly. the dentist reminded me of a horrible verbally abusive father figure that was complaining about things not done right, rather than a professional man. I am an adult woman and do comprehend words and phrases, dental lingo too. I have been to dentists many times and this was not a good experience for me. He needs to retake a course on customer service and remember that referrals come from happy clients. Speak and ask questions to clients at the beginning and end of the visit, you are there on limited time. I would not recommend this dentist, due to the poor customer service. We need comprehensive and soft toned dentists, not mean ones. Kindness is never out of style. I would ask for two to three referrals, and check them out. One is not enough. read more
