I left my previous dentist because all of a sudden I was getting LOTS of cavities. I am someone who is really diligent about taking care of my teeth and after freaking out about it, I started getting suspicious...and then angry. Also, at my last cleaning the tech really hurt me. Like my gums were throbbing when I left. I decided to shop for someone new. A friend recommended Dr. Black at Dental Nation. I made an appointment for a cleaning and figured that would be a good way to test them out. I wasn't crazy about the parking situation when I arrived, but I didn't really have any trouble finding parking either. The inside was much nicer then the outside and I was pleasantly surprised. The reception staff was super friendly and kind. When it came time for my cleaning I explained my concerns given my experiences at my last dentist. Dr. Black was super nice and really listened to me. He ended up doing x-rays and rescheduling my cleaning for a different day with a specialist. She was awesome and didn't hurt me at all. I have since been back to Dr. Black for more intensive dental work. I had a loose crown that snowballed into a bad cavity in the tooth in front of it...which now needed a crown of it's own. It took a few visits to complete the work, but it has been an amazing relief to have the problem resolved. I am so grateful to my friend for recommending Dental Nation. So I had had a previously bad experience where I was left waiting for a long amount Of time, but I want to say that doctor black personally called me and gave me the most heartfelt and honest apology I've ever heard! He had gotten behind that day and couldn't catch up, and I've had days like that. So I feel like I overreacted. After doctor black's heartfelt apology I had to go back. Dr. Black is such a cool, friendly dentist. He takes his time with you and gives a thorough, easy to understand analysis of your tooth situation. He answered all my questions and didn't make me feel like I was being annoying for having so many. He was also gentle and granted my request to have my gums numbed with jelly for my teeth cleaning. Very chill guy, and good at what he does. One of the only dentists I have actually felt comfortable with. My fiancé also enjoyed his experience in the dentist chair, which is not something many people can say LOL. Can't say I would recommend them. Had to get a teeth cleaning at a different dentist after coming here. I think they need to hire a dedicated hygienist. Also said the wife had two cavities that needed fillings and a different dentist confirmed that was not the case but did see that her teeth needed to be cleaned very badly (confirmed from the x-Ray) even though we both had a cleaning here less than a month before.
