I recently went in for a routine cleaning. During the procedure, I was told I had to wear the black plastic protective glasses, or I wasn't welcome there and should leave. When I explained to Dr. Timothy Luong that I'm severely claustrophobic and have a history of panic attacks from previous life-threatening surgeries, he showed zero empathy. He didn't listen to my concerns at all--he simply insisted on the glasses and, when I couldn't comply due to my medical condition, asked me to leave immediately. This complete lack of compassion and accommodation for a legitimate health issue was shocking and unacceptable. No effort was made to discuss alternatives or understand my situation. She was very friendly and she did a great job cleaning my teeth. On my way out, I noticed they had a sign in the window that said a cleaning, exam, and x-rays was $59 for new patients. I'm not sure why I was charged $75, even with my insurance, if they're only charging other new clients $59. Overall, the medical professionals at this office were professional and competent. The wait time and total visit time took too long. And I feel like I overpaid considering they charged me more with insurance, than they do people without.
