Former patient of Dr.Azimi he is great and I would return if he only had a better office manager who could better understand patients needs. I scheduled an appointment for a broken crown which I explained to the scheduling manager at the time of scheduling and what I expected to be done at the time of visit, however when I got there for my appointment they tired to do a deep cleaning which I did not schedule. After this I brought this to the attention of the office manager who did not seem to care at all about my concern and could see that I was upset about this situation. I was a patient of Dr. Brown's Comfort Care dental. But he had passed away in 2019. Right before Covid hit, I hadn't been to the dentist since before covid. I came to Dr. Azimi's office as they had gotten the clientele list from Dr. Brown's office when it closed. I have an inherit fear of dentists, from my childhood days. It's 5 years down the line and the amount of issues I have had with every root canal Dr Azimi performed has been a total nightmare. Each root canal became infected due to poor quality sealing. One crown essentially cracked into multiple pieces in my mouth. I've had to have 2 teeth REMOVED permanently due to infection from the poorly placed crowns. All of the work he did quite literally fell from my mouth at random. The cost of recovery from his poor handiwork has my dental costs upwards of 20k now. It' been horrific to get the same Disheartening reaction from a few dentists that have helped correct issues along the way. This guy, in fact butchered my mouth. Be cautious if you are seeking major dental work that involves your health and detox pathways. Just to be clear, all the previous dental work from 20-25 years ago, done by a different dentist, has stayed in tact perfectly. I've never had a bad experience with a dentist. This has been a major learning experience, albeit painful, expensive and heartbreaking. Protect your teeth. ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION. +++ when I asked for my x-rays, they sent exactly one to my dentist and refused to send anything else. X-rays I had paid for not 2 years prior. I'm sometimes left wondering if I really needed the extensive dental work he suggested. I didn't have intense dental pain at that time and now I'm in pain at a constant. I've never had a chance to share the X-rays prior to the 10k dental work he insisted I needed right away with any new dentists, so I find that highly suspect. They are not honest at all; they overcharge the Insurance Companies, they charge for procedures that they never performed, You never get to be treated by Dr. Azimi, their equipment is obsolete, just not a place to go! Buyer beware! Pay attention to your bill, keep track of what you have done and demand an invoice, we had to call them for almost a week after our treatment in order to get an invoice, lots of excuses! I went in to get something he had done fixed and he told me I'd need to have a certain other procedure. When I had the intelligence and self confidence to dare ask questions on why it was necessary and what alternate treatments would look like. He sat down. Crossed his legs, leaned back then began shaking his legs as an overt sign of impatience followed by suggesting I should consider therapy. What a load of BS. I NEED THERAPY? What because as a woman I didn't just leap into his manly suggestion and submit myself to a treatment he wasn't willing to fully explain and fairly walk me through the other options to what he wanted done? It's not his body, I have every right to fully understand everything and not be pressurized into something because it's easier for him to dismiss things away as me needing therapy rather than him take sometime like a professional and ethical thoroughly competent dentist would. When I pushed on and asked more about exploring the treatment he didn't want but I was more inclined to he made a obviously incorrect gross exaggerative claim to minimize and mock me and my preference in this situation because it wasn't what HE wanted. He genuinely cares, he is well informed and seems to stay current with the advances in dentistry, living up to his claim of "modern dentistry" The staff, which has remained consistent over the years, is incredibly professional and friendly. I purchased two groups: zoom whitening and cleaning. There was no restriction stated that I can only purchase one. I called to make an appointment and was only allowed to make it for one, so I chose the cleaning. Then I became gravely ill with the flu and was out for over a week. I called and cancelled the appointment and did not receive a call back to reschedule. I called today to reschedule for just,the cleaning again and they are charging me $50 for the rescheduling fee. The receptionist is extremely rude and unprofessional when I explained that I was sick; she kept repeating that it's on the groupon. I'm looking at the Groupon and it states "38 hour cancellation notice required or fee up to Groupon price may apply." Groupon cost me $29, NOT $50. As a fellow doctor in the area I do not appreciate such rude services. Reception is the first place clients go to receive service and if your staff is rude or not understanding when someone is very ill then you need to restaff. Dr. Azimi has an excellent background from what I researched online, but unfortunately I am not going to be able to experience his services due to his receptionist's attitude. read more

I've scheduled my first appointment Nov 2011 and found that i had a lot of problems with my teeth. They scheduled me right away and been going regularly. Every visit is pleasant and they make sure to always remind me with my appointments (calls, emails..) I had no insurance and they helped me work it out by patiently calling my dad's insurance so that i could be covered. All i can say, Dr. Azimi and his staff are the nicest and warmest people i've ever encountered in a dental field around. They always make me feel comfortable. My dentist CLOSED! I was driving east on Charleston on a Friday. When I saw the sign for azimi dentist office. pulled in to make an appointment for my kids to get a cleaning and checkup before school starts. The ladies in the office were extremely nice. She gave me a coupon to save 100$ on each kids first visit. And got me an appointment for Monday ( fast forward to Monday ) WOW! What a joyous trip to the dentist it was. The ladies in the office were very nice again. I think I only waited 4 minutes if that, the boys didn't even have time to get restless. The dental hygienist was so very nice and explained everything to the kids she was going to do and made them feel comfortable almost like a big sister. And let the kids see a short how to on brushing and flossing. ( get the Carmel Apple fluoride) it smelt good. Then Dr azimi came in and after a nice short conversation I really felt that I could trust him with my kids. The x-ray technician was also kid friendly and gentle with the kids. I was so impressed by the professionalism and energy in this office and thay all did an awesome job. So I bought them pizza. Next it's me and the wife I can't wait. Wait! Dr Azimi was extremely unprofessional and out right rude towards my wife. We went there for a consultation for cosmetic dentistry for my wife's teeth. After having x-rays performed the doctor lectured her and stated that there's nothing he can do as far as implants or veneers if she doesn't change her eating and drinking habits, without even asking her what those habits are. He basically stated that she wasn't a candidate for cosmetic dentistry even though that's what she was there for and in need of cosmetic dentistry. We were prepared to spend thousands of dollars with him to fix her teeth and the "doctor" said he wouldn't help her if she wouldn't change her lifestyle. What the hell? It's apparent that Dr Azimi is already wealthy and doesn't need the $80,000 that we were prepared to spend. I can't say enough nice things about Dr. Azimi. After a not-so-great experience with another dentist, I was referred to him for a second opinion; and I'm SO glad I went. You can tell he knows what he's doing. His office is clean and very well-taken care of. He's gentle and friendly, and he does little things that make you way less nervous. I was scared about having to get shots in my mouth, so they made sure I didn't see or feel a thing. I believe the hygienist's name was Kim. She was lovely as well. Very friendly and happy to answer all of my questions. They have a lot of cool technology and gadgets there that I've never seen before. They were able to tell a lot more about my teeth and explained everything to me. I had to get my sealant drilled out and get my tooth filled. That (plus an exam and x-rays) cost me around $215, which is very affordable, especially for being taken care of so well. They offer Care Credit as well, in case you can't afford everything up front. I am very happy with their pricing. I actually built this location many years back with my construction company without the need of realizing I would need their services later on. I decided to go here because I had also seen the dr. In a magazine article. My brother reassured me of his work because he himself is a patient. I moved here from Virginia and needed to find a dentist. I am so happy I found Dr Azimi's practice. It is located in a modern building with impressively decorated offices. They have the latest technology, X-ray equipment I have never seen before. They offer all kinds of dental procedures. Dr Carla was wonderful. She took her time, explained everything, very knowledgeable. Actually I spent more time with her than I did with any dentist in Richmond. All the staff are friendly. The rates are reasonable. Highly recommended! I recently needed implant surgery. Dr. Azimi saw me the day I called and scheduled it for the next day. He and his staff were professional, friendly, comforting, and obviously experienced with implants. They were sensitive to assuring I experienced no pain. They do need to improve their postoperative instruction sheet as it was confusing. But I asked questions and learned what I needed to do.
