Finding a good dentist in the Miami area has been very challenging for me, but I'm glad I recently had to change dentists and found Dental Options. They are in network on my Delta Dental plan, so I gave them a call a few months ago. It was a little challenging actually getting an appointment, I was trying to make a dentist appointment 6 months out, and the person that answered the phones said they don't make their appointment books that far out. I think she may have been new, because when I questioned it, she asked someone and made it happen. I was provided with a call a few days prior to my appointment to confirm, and they offered to answer any questions I had. I arrived on my appointment day for my 9 AM appointment and was warmly greeted by the office staff. The dentist office is located in the sharp turn on 191st Street in Aventura in a larger office building (the one on the right if you're staring at the two buildings). They're on the 8th floor of the building, and have plenty of free parking all around the office building. I came in for a cleaning and initial doctor visit. They reviewed my x-rays and conducted an initial check with Dr. Montero. He saw two small fillings that had fallen out and he filled them on the spot while I was there in about 10 minutes preventing me from have to make another appointment. I was greatly appreciative of this! Dr. Montero and the other assistants were extremely friendly and professional throughout the whole visit. I went back to the waiting room for about 5 minutes after my fillings were complete and had to wait on a hygenist as they had shuffled their books around to complete the fillings while I was there same day. The hygienist that I had was so friendly and thorough and my teeth looked beautiful afterwards. Looking forward to my next visit! read more

Horrible Experience - Avoid This Dentist! I came in with serious pain, hoping to get some relief, only to be treated terribly by this office. I had not received any communication--no letters, no calls--about a balance for over a year, yet when I showed up for an appointment, they suddenly said I owed money. Not only did they refuse to provide the care I needed, but they also made up this mysterious "balance" out of nowhere. How can a practice treat patients this way, especially when they're in pain? I arrived on the date they indicated, I made the payment and when I was already in the office they gave me that it was a mistake and the professional was not there that we could reschedule for another day. 3 SMS, a letter and a call throughout the week I received to confirm that I would come, I came, I paid and then they tell me that the professional is not there? My 91 year old mother flossed a crown right out of her mouth. We went to Dental Options today and she was treated by Dr Merino. She could not have been treated any better if she was the Queen. We encountered so many staff on the way in and every single person was so friendly. Dangerous! This place insists on exposing your head to radiation every 12 months. They refused to do simple cleaning without doing full mouth X-rays even though I had X-rays done last year. TOLD ME TO LEAVE if i don't agree to X-rays again. This is against ADA rules which only recommend X-rays every 24-36 months for SAFETY. I was just trying to avoid radiation exposure to my entire head, but the Office Manager kicked me out instead. This place needs to investigated. I scheduled a large appointment with a dentist at this office, expecting proper care. They assured me that my treatment would be addressed during the visit. When I arrived, they charged me upfront before any service was provided. I paid for a consultation at this dental office, expecting professional care and treatment. However, the doctor never even saw me.I waited for 1.5 hours to get help, Instead, I was met by a rude woman who was clearly unqualified to handle my concerns. I was rudely told by an unprofessional staff member that I wouldn't receive any treatment because the doctor was overbooked and could not provide the care I needed. I was told that I needed to leave the office. Despite informing them about the pain I was in, they showed no concern and left me without help. This place quick to take your money but refuses to refund you when you owed a refund. I asked for a full refund, the only refunds part of what what I'm owed. My bf is owed over $300 from this place. This was my third time visiting this office. My family members have been going to this office, and highly recommended it. My initial impression still stands. They create the perfect experience for their patients. I am someone who enjoys personable relationships, especially with my healthcare providers. The dental hygienist (Diana) has been working with me since my first visit. I love that you get to keep the same hygienist, as it is a very personal experience, and once you find someone you love, you of course want to stick with them. I met a new dentist today, (forgot her name, unfortunately) she was super friendly, and knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions, and seemed to be just as concerned about my oral health as me. She's young, eager, and very upbeat. It was pleasant to see. Lastly, her assistant Eric was very nice, and personable as well. Overall, I will continue to be a patient here. Improvement recommendations for Dental Options: making appointments only for services requested, notifying patients when their dentist leaves the practice, closing out insurance claims in the system when they verbally tell the patient an insurance claim is closed out, taking patients at the time of their appointment or within a 15 minute window, communicating with patients if a dentist/hygienist is running late, etc. read more

Came in for the first time yesterday and was immediately impressed with how smoothly and quickly this place runs. My appointment was for 4PM and by 4:15PM I was already in my chair and having my X-Rays taken. The front desk ladies are really welcoming and helped me find my benefits with my insurance company. Dr. Horesh was really kind and knowledgeable and explained everything to my satisfaction without any rush. And Margarita did my cleaning and she was so sweet and gentle, kept everything clean, and explained various items to me as she went along. I've been coming here for a few years now ever since I had the most terrible experience with a previous dental office and I must say I am very pleased with their service and especially the staff!! In my most recent visits (during covid times), I felt safe as they followed all protocols. Check in was done via phone and my temperature was taken as soon as they called my turn. Now for the staff, Dr. Hernandez and her assistant Melana has been apart of my treatment team for the past several years and they are amazing!! Melana is kind, always on top of things, extremely patient and gentle which is so rare to find nowadays and most of all she makes me feel so comfortable at every visit. Dr. Hernandez is so sweet as well! She takes her time to explain things to me and you can tell she really cares about her patients. I know if they are both there, I am going to have a great visit! If anyone is looking for a new dental office, this is the one and you must ask for Dr.Hernandez and Melana because they are the very best! read more

I would give this office zero stars if possible. The first time I went for a cleaning I waiting 45 minutes to be seen. Then, the hygienist could not get the x Ray machine to work. She kept the things in my mouth though which really hurt. I had to make a noise for her to take them out. Next, I saw Dr. Hernandez who told me I had a small cavity that would need to be filled. So, of course I scheduled an appointment. Today I saw Dr. Papelle who told me I did not have a cavity just a small stain. She was very nice and apologized that I had to come in. My major problem is what happened next. They tried to charge me for today!! I explained that it was their first dentists fault and I should not have to pay for that. After 15 minutes of waiting they finally to me no blame should be dealt put and very smugly told me I could leave. I did and will never be back!! read more

Don't let the views go to your head, I caution. When it comes to (A.) emergency call-back, or (B,) to providers anticipating a patient's need for second opinions without subtle, non-verbal cues to hurry things up because time is only theirs to grant, and (C.) and to a crass emphasis on fixing what's wrong now without even a hint to explore dental health needs from a general-planned perspective [takes too much time, so I surmise], D.O./Aventura will require more than paneling, marble and wispy views to establish trust with this new patient. I've already kicked the tires on this used vehicle, and was forced to seek care elsewhere -- albeit without the views and pizzazz. My head feels a lot better when I trust the chair-side approach and treatment recommendations of providers who listen to me instead of talking past me. read more

Great Office! My experience at Dental Options has been fantastic. From the first day, I walked in to meet Cynthia the Treatment Coordinator, who helped me feel at ease the moment she told me I needed several thousand's of dollars to get my mouth in shape. At first, I resisted until I realized I had to have this work done. Cynthia immediately found my "Care Credit", account and informed me that I could use this. I was so relieved to now have a payment plan in place. I next met Dr. Gonzales, who checked my gums for any problems, glad to report nothing major and Dr. Apelman. As soon as we all decided on a treatment plan Dr. Rosenstein took over. I had several crowns, two teeth pulled, cleanings, and finally the most beautiful Bridge made. All the office is friendly, helpful and always ready with a smile. I want to thank, Yoel, Yana, Nyla and all the staff for supporting me through a very tough time. I couldn't be happier with my beautiful new smile and healthy mouth. I really appreciate the extra precautions this office is taking during COVID times. The paperwork in office has been mostly eliminated because they send you forms to complete in the phone or pc once you confirm your appointment. The experience in the office has been great, social distancing in the waiting and then the team was well prepared with PPE and I think they had some extra air cleaning system. Not Professional at all. I made a late appt for a cleaning and once the girl was finished cleaning my teeth she said thank you see you in six months. I asked for the dentist( I still don't know his name) and the dentist had left. No one to check behind the hygienist. Well I had a problem that the hygienist did not see even though I told her about it. After having a little fit, I got an x-ray taken of the tooth in question and yes, it is a big problem but the hygiest was sending me out the door.
