He gave me a quick exam, looked briefly at the numerous X-rays they kept taking over and over , and then told me he was going to call my dentist so they could decide what to do. Huh? Do I get any say in the matter? When he came back after speaking with my dentist, he would not explain or justify his recommending a retreat, gave only brief non-informative answers to my questions, and after 5 minutes asked, "So, when do you want to have it done?" Although he does have high end equipment (microscope, laser,) and appears to be very competent and experienced, pricing of $2250 for the procedure was outrageous! By contrast another endodontist I saw a few weeks later spent over an hour with me, took X-rays and a CT scan, explained to me exactly why he was recommending what he was, told me of the prognosis, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and I left with a full understanding of my options . . . I've seen countless dentists and dental specialists in recent years, and that's what I expect from a doctor....

I was so impressed with this group - I left feeling great. At no point was I in any discomfort... not even a little. The office reception folks were helpful and nice, Dr. Oppenheimer was friendly and informative throughout the process, I never felt like they were too busy to answer my questions, and I waited less than 5 min. on both visits. For a distraction during the procedure, they even gave me earphones and a headset with a selection of movies/videos. I'd definitely recommend doing that - the drilling sound would have been distressing - I was very nervous about having this done lol. My root canal was far easier than having the cap applied to the same tooth by my regular dentist. I would absolutely recommend!

It was a little challenging actually getting an appointment, I was trying to make a dentist appointment 6 months out, and the person that answered the phones said they don't make their appointment books that far out. I think she may have been new, because when I questioned it, she asked someone and made it happen. I was provided with a call a few days prior to my appointment to confirm, and they offered to answer any questions I had. I arrived on my appointment day for my 9 AM appointment and was warmly greeted by the office staff. The dentist office is located in the sharp turn on 191st Street in Aventura in a larger office building (the one on the right if you're staring at the two buildings). They're on the 8th floor of the building, and have plenty of free parking all around the office building. I came in for a cleaning and initial doctor visit. They reviewed my x-rays and conducted an initial check with Dr. Montero. He saw two small fillings that had fallen out and he filled them on the spot while I was there in about 10 minutes preventing me from have to make another appointment. I was greatly appreciative of this! Dr. Montero and the other assistants were extremely friendly and professional throughout the whole visit. I went back to the waiting room for about 5 minutes after my fillings were complete and had to wait on a hygenist as they had shuffled their books around to complete the fillings while I was there same day. The hygienist that I had was so friendly and thorough and my teeth looked beautiful afterwards. Looking forward to my next visit!
