He gave me a quick exam, looked briefly at the numerous X-rays they kept taking over and over , and then told me he was going to call my dentist so they could decide what to do. Huh? Do I get any say in the matter? When he came back after speaking with my dentist, he would not explain or justify his recommending a retreat, gave only brief non-informative answers to my questions, and after 5 minutes asked, "So, when do you want to have it done?" Although he does have high end equipment (microscope, laser,) and appears to be very competent and experienced, pricing of $2250 for the procedure was outrageous! By contrast another endodontist I saw a few weeks later spent over an hour with me, took X-rays and a CT scan, explained to me exactly why he was recommending what he was, told me of the prognosis, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and I left with a full understanding of my options . . . I've seen countless dentists and dental specialists in recent years, and that's what I expect from a doctor....

I was so impressed with this group - I left feeling great. At no point was I in any discomfort... not even a little. The office reception folks were helpful and nice, Dr. Oppenheimer was friendly and informative throughout the process, I never felt like they were too busy to answer my questions, and I waited less than 5 min. on both visits. For a distraction during the procedure, they even gave me earphones and a headset with a selection of movies/videos. I'd definitely recommend doing that - the drilling sound would have been distressing - I was very nervous about having this done lol. My root canal was far easier than having the cap applied to the same tooth by my regular dentist. I would absolutely recommend!

I had not received any communication--no letters, no calls--about a balance for over a year, yet when I showed up for an appointment, they suddenly said I owed money. Not only did they refuse to provide the care I needed, but they also made up this mysterious "balance" out of nowhere. How can a practice treat patients this way, especially when they're in pain? It's one thing to handle financial matters, but to refuse care to someone who needs help is inexcusable. Stay far away from this place if you care about your health and your time!
