I had a very bad experience having an implant done by a general dentist/prosthedontist which failed after only 5 years and Dr. Turner had to redo the entire thing. It was a very involved process removing the old implant and replacing it with a much higher quality implant. Dr. Turner did an excellent job correcting the situation. I learned my lesson never to use a general dentist for an implant - go to a specialist. I highly recommend him without reservation for your implant, periodontal or diagnostic needs. Just came back for a routine cleaning/check-up and had the BEST experience at the dentist I've ever…read morehad--NO JOKE. I arrived 5 minutes early to my appointment at 4pm and after waiting only 2 minutes I was warmly greeted by Kerry, my dental hygenist. She asked if I had been at the office before and I told her only briefly for a potential cracked tooth. She gave me a tour and while touring me literally EVERY employee I encountered said "Hi there!" to me... friendly customer service goes a LONG way with me. After the short but enlightening tour, I was seated in a very comfortable chair and Kerry began to explain what she would be doing during the hour-long appointment. She was super thorough, patient, and made sure I was comfortable with each and every thing she stated she would be doing. We started with a full-mouth x-ray work-up, which Kerry informed me wouldn't be the most comfortable, but that it only occurred once every 5 years. This procedure took about 10 minutes to complete (about 8 pictures in total) and wasn't comfortable, but it wasn't horrible either, especially with Kerry distracting me by talking to me. Each x-ray that was taken was pulled up onto a tv in front of me which was nice to see. I found out I have crazy-long roots---gross, but good I guess?? After the x-rays, she went to checking my gums for any signs of gingivitis. She mentioned there were a couple of spots, but that they should be able to be reversed with proper flossing. Next, was the scrapping with the metal hook that they use. It definitely is my least favorite part of going to the dentist, but Kerry was SO gentle and made sure to explain that I could stop her at any time if necessary. Kerry managed to get ALL of my horrible coffee/blueberry stains from my teeth! Finally, the polishing/cleaning, which is my favorite part because I feel like it really give you that fresh-feeling! This also went super smoothly! Lastly, Dr. Incampo came and evaluated my teeth/Kerry's cleaning, and made sure to go over the x-rays with me in more detail. I left the office with a fun goodie bag with toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, chapstick, stylus pen ...and a fresh new smile! :)

The new patient oral evaluation cost $176, and while insurance covered $79.20, that remaining balance was another surprise. Later, I even received an additional bill for $96.80 for what should've been a simple evaluation. It became clear to me that this office prioritizes billing opportunities over patient care, with an aggressively inflated treatment plan that felt more like a sales pitch than genuine dental advice. The worst decision I made was going there. The best decision was walking away before agreeing to their unnecessary, overpriced treatment plan. You can scam some people sometimes, but not all the time -- and karma always finds its way.
