Have you ever loved a dentist? Before Dr. Behdad, I had not. I didn't hate my dentists, they were fine. Efficient, stern regarding flossing, always pushed extra X-rays, fine. But I LOVE Dr. Behdad. She replaced my normal SF dentist while that dentist was on maternity leave and she was so lovely. I have really sensitive gums that bleed and instead of being aggressive with me on how much of a failure I was, she was extra gentle and understanding. I'm not someone that gets nervous with appointments, but you can tell she's well prepared for anxious patients. She explains everything, doesn't overprescribe extra images, and does the cleaning herself. Plus, she's funny and interesting! She's called me after a few visits to make sure everything felt okay - that level of care just floored me. I have started driving down to Mountain View from the city and my partner also sees her now too. She's done fillings, cleanings, and is starting his invisilign soon. I actually went to this practice several years ago when they had first opened. The office was nice and Dr. Behdad and her staff were friendly and the equipment was top notch (she was able to show me my cavities on a monitor). However, I am self pay and felt she was a bit pushy with aesthetic treatment. I have a small chip on my front tooth that has been there at least 25 years and she was the only dentist I've seen who wanted to fill it. Even after I said I was not interested she mentioned it again and made sure to include it in my estimate for fillings. This made me feel like she really wanted the money and if she hadn't shown me the pictures on the monitor I probably would have sought a second opinion for the the other fillings. I ended up needing a few fillings and the self pay price was exorbitant. Since the office was new when I came I had been able to purchase a discount voucher for two cleanings. When I left my first appointment I made my next appointment for six months later. When I came back (after having paid more than $800 for fillings, mind you), they acted like they were doing me a favor by accepting my voucher and then the dentist literally spent less than 15 minutes cleaning my teeth. Several years later I still have a bad taste in my mouth about this experience! read more

Dr Bahared Behdad is an exceptional dentist and she and her team are fabulous. Cannot recommend her enough. I see her every 6 months for a cleaning, and she's also fitted me for a mouth guard to prevent grinding at night, as well as fillings for my receding gums which helped tremendously with my sensitive teeth. She even handled an emergency situation for my husband when he chipped his tooth (don't ask!) and now he's a happy routine patient. She's wonderful and will continue to go to her forever! read more

I actually have another dentist, but one day my crown broke and my regular dentist office was closed. Dr. Behdad was the on-call dentist; therefore, I called Dental Square. Love dental square! Appointments and reception: Super nice and helpful. Will call to remind you if your appointment is coming up. Insurance: Will work with you to make sure you get the most out of your insurance --- Cleaning reminders and checking if things are covered. Doctor: Very patient. Will explain what is happening and why certain procedures are necessary. It really helps to understand what's going on when you're nervous about going to the dentist already. I've had basic cleaning, deep cleaning, filling up cavities, root canals, and crowns done here (sad me). One of the crowns was for my front teeth and she took great care to make sure color, shape, and even the little ridges are similar to my other front teeth. She will also make sure previous procedures are still functioning well when you come back for your regular check-ups. read more

I got recommended by a friend and my friend was soot on. The facility is very warm and welcoming. Front staff was helping me figure all my insurance coverage before me coming to the office so there would be no surprise. Examination was very through and complete. She took a very detailed pictures and xrays. She listed in detail to all my concerns and questions and guided me for all the concerns i had for getting a crown and fillings. The cleaning was very pain free and pleasant and everything was on time and on the schedule. You can book your appointment online (from their website). Dr Behdad and her office staff are excellent. I have been a patient of his for the past few years. I found her by chance after doing a zocdoc search for dentists close to Los Altos. I still go to her even though I've now moved to San Francisco. She is friendly and has superb bedside manner (which is something I pay attention to since I am a physician myself). I appreciate that she listens to my concerns and does not push or oversell procedures (unlike my previous dentist). I needed some crowns and fillings which I postponed for a long time and Dr Behdad took care of them for me and the crowns look so natural that I keep forgetting which tooth is my original tooth and which one is the crowns that she placed. Dr Behdad dental equipment/facilities are clean and modern and all up to date. Now my partner started going to Dr Behdad office and she is very pleased with their level of service as well. we both plan to stick with her for as long as we live in Bay area. My partner is starting invisalign with Dr Behdad and she is super excited about that! Bottom line, I would highly recommend and truly she is the BEST dentist! read more

Dr. Behdad and Lisa are excellent, friendly professionals! Lisa took extensive x-rays with gentleness and consideration--putting those sensors in your mouth is never pleasant, but Lisa took the time to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. Dr. Behdad herself did the majority of the cleaning, which I've never experienced at any dental practice before! She's very good at what she does, and very patiently explained everything she did, and even cheerfully fielded my broad questions about dental health. I have now been to see Dr. Behdad three times: once for a cleaning, once for a filling, and a final time for a follow-up appointment, quickly scheduled by Lisa. I am always nervous about going to the dentist. I heard about Dental Square through my friends and decided to try them out. Dental square office was a spacious and welcoming environment. I really liked the fact that most of their rooms have a window. At my previous dentist's office, I felt like I am in a basement. No windows, only hospital like white light, ... The staff was authentic, competent and friendly. Making appointment was easy, I left a VM and they called me back right away and they were able to accommodate my schedule. Dr Behdad is by far the best dentist that I have had. She has gentle touch and collaborative, long term approach to dental health. She first explained to me different issues that we had to address and went over what we needed to do in that session and what we needed to plan in the future. For the first time I could actually understand exactly what's going on and what could be coming next. Lots of XRays, actual photos of the tooth, ... I have also had bad experiences in the past dealing with insurance and paper work. I was pleased that they quickly figured out my insurance and handled all the paperworks. I like gadgets and new technologies. So I really liked some of the new gadgets she has and some of the procedures were way less painful than what I am used to (either because of her skills or the latest generation of equipments or both) The only issue I had was finding their office but I think they were in the middle of a signage change today. In case if you couldn't find it, its second floor on the left. Going to dentist is always scary, Dental Square and Dr Behdad made it as tolerable as it could be for me. Dr Behdad and her staff are simply amazing! I have recommended her to many of my friends/family members and will recommend her to anyone living in the bay area! I had been scared of going to the dentist's office my entire life, because I take a very long time and many injections to get completely numb and most of the time despite telling my problem to other dentists, I still had to tolerate the excruciating pain under the drill. But Dr Behdad has changed that completely. She was sensitive to my pain and took the necessary care and steps to make me numb before starting the work (which might be 1-1:30 hours every time). Evey piece of work she has completed on my teeth has come out perfect: fillings, crowns, cleaning. She is the best dentist I've known: meticulous, friendly, caring and overall very professional. When I showed my crowns to my wife, she wouldn't believe it is not my real tooth anymore! I look forward to my appointments with her every time! Going to the dentist is not something I enjoy, but they all make me feel so comfortable and make sure I know exactly what is going on and being used. I came in the first time for a cleaning and she noticed that I had two teeth with large fillings that would be better off with crowns to protect my teeth so we decided to move forward with that plan. My subsequent visits have been very smooth and she always explains in detail what she's about to do so there are no surprises. I was always scared to go to dentist. The last time I went to dentist was many years before. My colleague had visited Dr.Behdad's office before and she was the one who had told me about Dr.Behdad. Finally I made a decision of visiting her office because I have few cavities and it was getting worse. I visited her office for the first time a week before. I shared all my concerns+ I told Dr.Behdad how much I was scared of dental work. She was super sweet. She started working on my teeth so gently and she was asking "are you ok" while she was doing my deep cleaning. I did not feel any pain. Just today she did my first filling and temporary filling she has put feels super comfortable. Dr.Behdad even did follow up with me after our appointment to make sure im feeling ok and I have no pain/discomfort. Her assistant Marina is really good as well. I don't like writing reviews. Dr. Behdad did an amazing job of cleaning and explaining to us in detail [no rush] about what was going on with her teeth and her recommendations.
