Dental Wise might take you by surprise... because Dr. Manny is not exactly what pops into your head when you picture a dentist. Most of my dentists growing up had that "I've been fixing teeth since floss was invented" level of experience. So when I first met Dr. Manny I thought... wow... what a young grasshopper. As the old saying goes, "Never judge a book by it's cover." Dr. Manny is a Tucson native who trained under one of the best dentists in town, Dr. Brei. Clearly he soaked up every ounce of wisdom during that apprenticeship, added prestigious dental school, constant continuing education, and then had the audacity to go start his own practice... and absolutely nail it. Do not confuse his confidence with cockiness. The man simply knows what he's doing. And he proves it every time. A few things that stood out immediately: * I have never felt pain during the numbing process. If you've had dental work before, you know that alone deserves recognition. * After every procedure, everything healed exactly how it was explained and expected. No surprises, no drama. Just solid work done right. Also, never once have I felt judged. And trust me... if there was ever a patient worth judging, I've given them plenty of material over the years. The hygienists are equally amazing. Not once during a cleaning has anyone casually mentioned my coffee or Diet Coke habits like some kind of dental detective. Instead, they just calmly explain how to do things better and somehow make you actually want to floss more. And now, I floss 3X a day. Dr. Manny's right-hand woman is basically the Chief of Everything, and an absolute gem. She keeps the entire operation running smoother than most Fortune 500 companies. And the front office staff? Picture Jennifer Lopez in The Wedding Planner with earpieces, orchestrating a flawless event... except the event is you and your teeth. Phones ringing, patients arriving, schedules moving, and somehow everyone is calm, happy, and taken care of. Honestly it's impressive. So if you're shopping for a dentist and you're still reading this review... why? Go make the appointment. Get your teeth cleaned. Get whatever needs fixing fixed. I'm genuinely glad I finally stopped neglecting my dental issues, got on a treatment plan, committed to it, and the execution? Dr. Manny and his team delivered flawless results. 100/10. Rudely dismissed by doctor: I was inundated with text messages from Dental Wise office reminding me of an upcoming cleaning appointment and the need to confirm. I confirmed and showed for my appointment. I was seated by the hygienist, when the doctor stepped into the room and said he wanted to speak with me. .. He asked me "Why are you here?" I politely answered his question. To complete my cleaning, and because your office owes me money. ( This immediately set him off.) He immediately argued the point, about owning me money. The next thing I know he is acting like a 10 year old and making uncalled for comments. I actually had to ask if he had ever looked at my medical history. By the look on his face, I knew he never had. (I.E. medical history and dental history are very closely intertwined) He proceeded to try to argue facts with me re: my account. I let him know he was uninformed of what was going on. ( unbeknownst to him, I had in my hands the insurance paperwork and treatment, and bank statements to review with billing personnel after appointment) He then proceeded to tell me several times that "I wasn't welcome there." Unceremoniously dismissed. LOL. I've been kicked out of better establishments. He was incredibly rude, and unprofessional. As a dentist who is injecting people with medications, it is very important to know your patients medical history and not be throwing juvenile insults them. For a dental provider you certainly are not aware of the impact or importance of the opinion you leave on the community and your patients. I only have great things to Say about Dr. Manny and the staff at Dental Wise. Dr. Manny is so kind and really takes the time to connect with patients. he also give great prevention tips based on your lifestyle. Dental Hygienist April is one of the warmest people I've had the pleasure of meeting. Full stop. Not only that she is super gentle on my teeth and checks in with me along the way. I have been so pleased with the care and customer service I have received and I strongly recommend this office if people are looking for a new dentist. Great experience! The dentist was super professional and enthusiastic and the procedure was quick.

These days it is hard to find a personable place for medical care. I've been coming here for quite awhile and from the moment I walk in and get greeted by name and smiles at the front desk. I know I'm going to be comfortable and cared for, by the hygienist, and an enthusiastic dentist who doesn't hide behind the chair the whole time. Dr. Rodriguez cares enough to have a conversation and take the time to assess your needs and maybe tell a joke before starting service. This is a first for me...I don't think I've ever commented on or rated a dentist before....I just have to now. I was referred to Dental Wise and Dr. Rodriguez team was kind enough to get me in quickly to address an issue I was having. My current dentist whom I really like has been out ill for a long period of time. I really, really needed to get my issue addressed. I have to tell you that Dr Rodriguez and his team, from Brittany at the front desk to his dental assistant were absolutely wonderful! Dr.R is a perfectionist! He has state of the art equipment and seems to be current on the latest "best practices". Busy as he was, he took the time to make sure everything he did was absolutely perfect....and I LOVE that! His office is on Broadway in midtown. He is in a stand alone building and is easy to find. I know that more and more dentists are joining commercial dental companies and personally...I don't like that...Once a large corporation starts telling their docs how many patients they need to see in a day and how much you need to "push" on your patients to deliver more revenue for the company, patients suffer. Best EVER ! I have always struggled with having to go to the dentist & this time I had a big emergency but this isn't the first Ive see Dr. Rodriquez so I already knew he was great , patient and understanding . My appointment wasn't rushed and he took his time to answer any questions I had and made sure i was comfortable. The day of my procedure I was terrified but I knew I was in good hands I didn't feel a single thing ! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND giving dental wise a chance I will be referring everyone I know to come here ! The staff was really friendly and super helpful with all my questions. The dentist was great and even numbed my gum before the shot to numb everything else for my filling. This was great because I've had dentists just give me the shot and it's quite painful so I was very grateful for that. I love the staff so much that I go to this office even though I have other dentists closer to me. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a friendly and capable dental staff. read more
